Piña Colada with Myers Floater - Latitudes

This is my absolute favorite place to go on my day off! I have never been a guest at this hotel, and have never felt unwelcomed at Latitudes. Latitudes Tiki Bar is a smaller sized poolside bar with a few menu offerings such as fried shrimp, spinach dip, and chicken tenders. The real gem of this place is April, the bartender. Even with a full bar and packed pool deck, she still makes sure everyone is taken care of. She's fast, friendly, and makes you feel like a dear friend. I've visited higher rated pool bars, and more expensive- and you won't get the service you get here. The pool is always clean, beach access is allowed with rentable chairs and umbrellas. This is my favorite "Sunday Funday" hang out. Pool towels are available at the front desk. If you're looking for a "one and done", try April's Mai Tai!

Latitudes is one solid hotel/pool bar! The drinks are fun and fruity and they have a good beer selection, too! The service is great, always very friendly bartenders. If you're staying at the Courtyard Marriot, this is all you've got for food during the day if you don't want to leave the hotel. But that's ok because Latitudes has a pretty good bar menu and I haven't been disappointed yet! Try the chicken fingers tossed in buffalo sauce, delish! I also heard the bartender tell other customers that the flatbreads are a top seller. You can't beat to atmosphere either. A tiki bar at a pool, yes! One major complaint I want to add though, smoking is permitted while sitting at the bar. The hotel is non smoking so the bar should be too, especially because there's always a bunch of kids running around. I hope the hotel will reconsider allowing this.

Where else can you go with salt water in your hair, and sand on your toes. Tiki bars win hands down. Give me that ocean air!

It was ok. They close early but there's a bar next door that had a live band.

We saw a lot of great reviews for Sauder's Landing…read more First downside is you are required to hand over your driver's license to a security guard to enter the island. He had it for a while, God only knows what data base I'm now part of, but hey, great reviews, let's go. The guard gave my license back as well as a parking permit. Asked about the restaurant, he said drive to the stop sign and turn left. There's a row of shops and a Sauders sign. Did get a tiny bit confusing...none of the storefronts was Sauders. There was a dingy looking alley opening...found them. Walking down this dingy alley (there were three old window a/c units running up high, I mean old, tired, dirty and all three are dripping water into buckets below them on the concrete). We get to a tired residential screen door and that is the entrance. We were greeted right away. Said two for dinner. The hostess asked if we had reservations...we said no. We asked to sit inside. This is not the restaurants fault, but the marina is under construction, there are no docks or boats outside the windows, just rebar and dirt, however the windows and screens were dirty. There are dive bars and old restaurants with charm, Sauders is neither. Inside it just looks very tired and extremely dated You know how Restaurant Impossible or Bar Rescue showes usually start, with John Tapper and Robert Irving having a lot to say. They would have a lot to say at Sauder's. Carolyn, our server, lived up to the reviews that mention her. She was prompt, knew all the specials and did a good job throughout our meal. We ordered some Calemari. The batter was falling off, so if you tried to pick up a piece, you basically had a piece of squid. The marinara sauce was hot and had a good flavor. We had the shrimp linguine Alfredo. There were plenty of shrimp. Tha pasta was spaghetti, not linguine, but cooked properly. Could have had a little more sauce but tasted OK. The meal came with a salad. Everything was fresh, cold and crisp. Carolyn informed us the thousand island was made at the restaurant and it was OK. Summary...the food was ok, the dining room was tired, oh yeah, the rest rooms were behind doors rusting under their paint in that dingy alley and my wife said the one she went into was not nice. I honestly don't know how you could give this a 4 or 5 rating. If I knew what we were going to experience, I'd never give my driver's license to that guard and we would find another of the many seafood places in town. Sorry Sauder's, you need to make an investment in your business.

We started out with a chocolate martini & a Whispering Angel Rose. Both were refreshing and very celebratory for my friends birthday. Since it was lunch, we went straight to entrees. My husband had the Strawberry Field salad with shrimp. Beautifully crisp and delicious. The shrimp were cooked perfectly even if the salad should have had less dressing. The birthday girl had the short rib grilled cheese which looked exactly like the pictures. She managed to eat the whole thing. I had the steamed clams. The presentation was totally unexpected. It had a pizza dough topper that was puffed up with the clams, linguica & broth nice and steamy underneath. It was an amazing preparation and the dough helped tame some of the spiciness from the linguica. We all said we would come back. I would give this restaurant a solid 4.5 stars as the refill of our water was a big sluggish. Since you cannot rate in 1/2 star increments, I gave it a 5.

It ended up being a great find! The restaurant is spacious with huge windows overlooking the water, which I absolutely loved. It was much too hot to sit outside, so we enjoyed the view from an inside table. We decided to split the steamed clams (without the sausage) and a lobster bisque for lunch. Our server, Sydney, was friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. The clams were served inside a bread-like pastry. My husband especially enjoyed that part, while I skipped the bread and dug right into the clams--they were fresh and delicious. The lobster bisque was rich, flavorful, and just as good. One unexpected bit of entertainment came from the couple seated next to us. It sounded like they were on a first date, and while I certainly wasn't trying to eavesdrop, they were talking so loudly it was impossible not to overhear! They seemed to be having a wonderful time, and it added a lighthearted touch to our lunch. Hope springs eternal! Overall, I was very happy with both our meal and the beautiful waterfront setting. I'd definitely stop here again the next time we're passing through Stuart. The only thing that gave me pause was the dinner menu, which looked a bit pricey, but for lunch this was a very enjoyable stop. You don't need a reservation for lunch so that was a plus. Sometimes you just want to go with the flow, and that is just what we did!

My sister and I once a month meet for lunch, usually go to the other restaurants in the downtown area. This was a Saturday. The restaurant was pretty empty. We decided to try it, since it was new. It's off season for Florida. I like that it's away from traffic and close to the river, but not on the river. We ordered several appetizers, Tuna stack, it was good with toast on the side. I would have preferred wonton chips or tortilla chips. We also had the crab fritters, these were delicious and plentiful for two people and the Burrata salad. We wanted the Brussels sprouts, but they were out so the chef prepared Bok Choi instead. Equally delicious. We ordered an infused cucumber refreshing cocktail. The service was very good. The owner stopped by our table, to ask how we liked it. He was gracious and told us his story how he bought the placed and design a menu along with the Chef. That was a plus. They also have music for dinner. Parking is street. The Tram goes around and it will leave you at this restaurant from the large parking lot. Please note there's a green market on Sunday's so the parking lot is usually full.
