WARNING: The Maids are not what they seem. I had hired The Maids as the company had top ratings as a cleaning service. I had the service just over a year and the team broke items in my home not once, but TWICE. On September 30, 2023 I received a call that a vase had been broken. Catching me out of town for a conference, I told the woman I would call her back. Only the number she provided wasn't any good, so I let it go. Then on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 I noticed the tile in my master bath shower had been severely cracked and huge pieces of grout were missing. I contacted The Maids immediately. The manager, Lynn, said they had someone on staff that would look at the tile but having been burned twice, I declined. Lynn also informed me that no one on The Maids team remembered cracking the tile. I did however, inquire about the damaged pottery they had promised to fix. Lynn mentioned they had purchased me a new piece and it would be 'hand delivered within the week'. Never heard anything again. My house is new (completed in late 2020) and one tile expert looked at the damage and discovered it had been incorrectly installed with no adhesive, which may have contributed to the breakage. However, he was unavailable for months so I called The Maids back requesting the name of the person in there office. He was on vacation (of course!) and they promised to get back in touch. Unfortunately I had also suffered a fall being in extreme pain was not particularly nice with the receptionist, Ash, who insisted I didn't need to talk with a manager. In the course of the conversation, I had mentioned the cracked tile was not properly installed. When I finally reached The Maids again, the receptionist responded that their person, Dan, was too busy, then went on to say, "And you said the tile was incorrectly installed." WOW. She blamed me for a situation caused by the builder. Unbelievable. Still in excruciating pain, things were said that shouldn't have been on my part. But The Maids refused to take any responsibility for the damage caused on two separate occasions. Ash sent me a list of referral from Dan and the tile was repaired in days. I was paying The Maids over $600 a month, their team broke two items in my home, while also damaging the blinds, and no one accepted responsibility. I've found another cleaning service just as good if not better for $200+ less a month. If you like being blamed for damage you didn't cause, lies, and no follow through, The Maids is for you. If you've been a victim consider legal action or contacting the MN Attorney General. Businesses like this should not be allowed to get away with shoddy service and blaming the victim. read more

It was a newly renovated basement apartment so very dirty and dusty. They worked very hard! In reality the appointment needed more time. But I am very please with their work! I was very happy with the job! We have a hefty amount of traffic moving around in our home, with 4 kids and 2 adults living here, and the team did a wonderful job! I thought I was getting a basic cleaning, but came home to wonderful attention to detail: ceiling fans dusted, our bathroom fan cover dusted, our couches vaccumed and railings wiped down and cleaned! First the cleaning team was very nice. Second, I am very picky! Third, my home is not dirty! dusty with a few cob webs on fans. What I wanted was 1 full bath, 1 3/4 bath,1 half bath, floors in this 2000 sq ft home minus my office, and dusting. I was told on the phone it would be $173.00 an hour for a team of 4 cleaners. Dan thought it would be an hour with the 4 cleaners but might be an hour and a half or right around $200.00. Steep, but this company was suppose to be very good. I thought they were to come out first to give me a clear estimate after looking over my home, instead the entire team showed up. I told them there was some confusion that I wanted an estimate. After thinking about it more I called to have them return. They came back right away, which was nice, along with their manager. I told them what I wanted and they began cleaning. The manager asked me if I was quoted a price and I told her $173, possible $200.00 because I was told, the first time a home is cleaned could need more time. I told Dan at the time, it was only me and my house was not really dirty. The manager called Dan, told him what I said and with conversation, told him my home "was like any first home cleaning". Folks, it is just me, Just me! I don't cook in my home and I'm extreamly clean. My home can't possibly be like any other home getting a first time cleaning. The manager came back and told me it could be $350. I told them do only what I asked for, the 3 bathrooms (1 each, full, 3/4 & 1/2) and the floors. I left I was discusted with myself trusting this company. Discusted they would rate my home like a home with 2 adults who cook and entertain, or a home with children? Typical? Do they typically just clean homes for single professionals who don't cook in their home. Truly my house is not dirty, dusty in areas I can't reach and baths in need of cleaning but that is it. I told them this when they asked me about the kitchen. Not needed! $350.00. The job was just ok. I could not see a difference. The items on the back of my tub in the master bath were not moved and cleaned under ( I can tell believe me). They didn't even put the room items back they did move, where they found them (yes this irritated me). Never again! Beware! Be sure you get a face to face in home estimate and in writing. read more
