The mall is right down the street from where I live so I find myself running here all the time! This is definitely not a mall I would go to "just to shop" as the businesses here are very very limited in what they offer. This mall has a 5$ (Starbucks), Burger King, Subway, Little Caesar's Pizza, Jeans Warehouse, Radio Shack, Chinese Take Out, Korean Take Out &a Sushi, American Savings Bank, Bank of Hawaii, Church that sells Dave's Ice Cream, Longs (24 hours), and City Mill to name a few. I normally come here to go to City Mill and Longs! These two stores usually carry what I need so I don't have to drive 12 miles to Kapolei everyday!! While it would be nice to get a Target or Walmart or Costco in Waianae I know that will never happen but I can hope can't I!!???

Of course mom stood in line (which had her waiting in the shampoo section aisles over.) her name was announced softly and by the time she made it up front the clerk just took the next person waiting! This longs is located at Waianae Mall, I'm sure the Waianae community is grateful to have this Longs, saves a trip from driving in to Kapolei. My observation, nice, clean, fully stocked on merchandise, and YES. I noticed that most of the items are locked up in the cabinets including toiletries, shampoo, deodorant, detergent, and even can foods! (reminds me of shopping at a store in San Fran) I would say it may take longer than your usual shopping trip if you need these products and to get assistant. There's is a nice selections of fruit, veggies here, more than at other Longs store, nice orchid plants, and bakery items of sweet bread & mochi. For this visit I just needed some alcohol, snacks, toothbrush for our next staycation, so it was a quick stop and ended up with plums and packs of udon noods too ( in store special 2/$1) Only 2 cashiers working, line got long quick but it moved pretty fast. No self check out at this location. "Make Longs a part or your day", as I did just that over here, hehe!!

Cool idea! You can send them photos from your phone. If you have an iPhone, all you need to do is airdrop it to them. It took a short time for them to download and mount it on a block. There are different sizes and shapes with prices ranging from $29 for a small to $199 for the largest size. There was a special going -buy two and get one free! We chose a small rectangle and the finished product turned out very nice! The edges are pine and the sides are sanded to a smooth finish. What we may though do is stain the wood part as I think it would be prettier. The person helping us was super helpful and friendly too. We definitely are coming back to do more photos as gifts.
