Not only are my favorite stores here but, they always have fun family friendly events! Since they have a big open grassy field, they're able to have outdoor events here. One of our favorite events is Touch a Truck where all types of construction and service vehicles meet at one place. Kids can touch and go onto all types of vehicles such as excavators, fire trucks, police vehicles, and much more! Overall, I absolutely love coming here! There's also a movie theater, tons of takeout and dine in options and for dessert, Crumbl!

Right in front of Petco there is also an area where they can go potty. They even have bags available for you to pick up their waste. Before walking into Petco, I was able to pick up some Subway. Subway offers some great meal deals for $8.99. They have some picnic tables that you can sit on by the Regal movie theaters. A place I recently just learned about as well is the bathroom by Brug Bakery. If you're wanting to enjoy some AC with a sofa, there's a resting area there with a place to fill up your water for FREE. This place has a little something for everybody.

Parking is free and there are bathrooms, but they will only give the code to paying customers. My only issue is sometimes the parking and the exit get clogged from the stop lights. Other than that, it's a great place to get groceries, crack seed snacks and a quick bite to eat. Popular places to check out: Sushi Bay Da Crawfish and Crab Shack En Fuego Plantation Tavern Pacifico Pizza Napoletana Agu Ramen Julie'z El Mariachi Hungry for the familiar places? Not to fear. As Chili's is the dominant restaurant on the shopping center side, En Fuego and Julie'z Filipino Food are the most notable on the Marketplace side. You have Kapolei Family Medical center and Diagnostic Labs located here. There is also a credit union, food eateries, smoke shop and Fun Factory for the kids to enjoy. A must try is Ono Steak and Shrimp. They are a steak and shrimp place BUT their garlic shrimp is so good! Them sauce is a bit thicker and full of flavor. Another staple would be Koa Pancake house. No explanation needed for this place! A little more shops and this side may be as bustling as its neighbor center. Kapolei continues to grow and I can't wait to see what new shops will join this growing area.

This little nook located just at the edge of Waipahu between a couple of larger shopping center you'll find just a few shops but don't get me wrong it's some amazing shops and with free parking it's already five stars for me as many are going with charging folks to shop is sadly disappointing for me. 808 Hawaiian BBQ is the reason I'm here today though I've visit several other tenants as well with Ribs & Broth, Hang's and even the Mini Mart. Whatever it is the convenience of getting here is easy to show some love to these wonderful small local biz. Thank you!

Across the parking lot, I have been to the very spacious Starbucks. A while ago, I went to Seafood City Supermarket which is a part of the long row of businesses - Umi Ramen is one of them. Hele Gas is also associated with this Shopping Center. I've patronized this business several times. Now, I know the name of this Shopping Center... haha... the free parking is much appreciated! I'll be back and I'll visit the other businesses!

The OG place for services like Blend House, Jackson Hewitt or your dentist appointment though I came here for some Taste Tea and and a bite at Frida's but today was to drop off a bag of donation at the Green Drop bin and have recent found out there's a name for this tiny shopping center. With lots of free parking it's a great place for it all and can see why many locals do stop here and is easily found with KFC prominently holds the spot at the corner making it easy to find. What...where!?…read more Kealanani Plaza is a cute shopping place filled mostly with restaurant is located right beside Wal Mart in Kapolei as I came here to order take out at Pho H&H I was surprised to see many other places with not a huge lot but enough free parking spaces to keep you happy. - Ali'i Nails - Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Jersy Mike's Subs - Kapolei Primary Care Clini - Panda Express - Pho H&H Vietnamese & Japanese Cuisine - Pizza Hut - Sport Clips - Supa Thai The convenience that the Panda Express has a drive thru as well is something that I do see many take full advantage of is nice along with many other small biz found here makes it a place that I'd certainly be back to visit. The buildings has been repainted and new designs added. Some tenants moved in while other tenants moved out. Newest addition to the lot is Longs Drugs store. The entrance is facing the ocean. Handicap parking is available with additional parking on the side of the building. Long time tenants are Makaha Chop Suey for Chinese takeout. Makaha Ohana Market for the liquor or snacks. The Wash Spot to do laundry. Lei's Fashion for clothing. Treasure Seekers Thrift Store and Collectibles for thrift store items. Other tenants include West Side Barbers, Team Realtors, Big Island Substance Abuse Center, North Shore Mental Health Center, and the church. I'm curious on what other retail or food establishment will make a home at the Makaha Gateway. 11/100

So interesting to read and hear via video bout the history of the coast. Alot of work went into it. Okay as far as the shops at Gateway itself Jeana summed it up. I was a lil surprised there was a grand opening when it felt and looked like a section of the center is still tenantless basically the entire section b4 the laundry mat looked deserted. Hope they find me shops soon or whatever the plan is for that area. Ample parking. Easy in and out multi entrances/exits.

Being the only center having eateries, grocery stores and a few others on this side of the Island, before having to head out to Kapolei for the same amenities but on a larger scale, makes it a favorite place for locals to stop and shop. If you're looking to shop for clothing or hardware best head down to Waianae Mall, but for most others you can get what you need right here. The area is kept surprisingly tidy. All of the stores and store fronts are well maintained. The employees are super friendly, the security guards are always on patrol helping and giving directions. If you come before Colortyme closes you get to enjoy some of their "jams" playing on a sound system they are advertising. Get your grocery shopping done, grab some lunch, get your nails done, fill up your tank, go to the post office and maybe get some Baskin-Robbins all in one place and maybe shake a tail feather to the music being played. 5 stars if all available stores were filled, maybe a clothing store..hint, hint.
