I went in yesterday to have Katy help me find a good shade of foundation that I would need. I had chosen a different shade when Katy told me that it would have been to dark, and offered me a lighter shade to try. I really like this place since we have no make up places in Barstow. I am not to familiar with alot of brands they have so I just stick to the ones I do ie. Nyx, la girl. I did try the koko lashes which I love...similar to the lily lashes but half the price. The staff is always super nice which is good compared to Sephora in the mall in Victorville where the staff stinks! Great place check it out. Btw the la girl pro foundation is my favorite for around 9 compared to 40 that i would spend on urban decays naked. read more

I love this store because their is a wide variety of makeup brands and beauty supplies.it is very cute inside the store, it is like makeup heaven with just make up everywhere beautifully displayed! They have great customer service that will help you with any questions you may have. The location is good and easily accessible from the mercado mall. It is also the go to place to learn the lates makeup techniques as they have tutorial classes for makeup application. I've taken advantage of their makeover specials and I loved it. Brands that were only available to me online are now in our local "The Makeup Box" so no need to pay extra on shipping or gas for travel. read more

I went here once to get a gift certificate and picked up a few things for myself. Good variety, fair prices, staff was pleasant. I tried to go again on my lunch break at noon and they were closed for lunch. They open at 10 and close for lunch at noon? Okay, fine. Not the way I would do business but maybe this was a one time thing. Needed another gift certificate a few months later so I went again on a Saturday morning 10 minutes after their posted opening time and it was closed again. No sign, nothing to indicate why they weren't open. I ended up buying a Sephora gift card instead. I really want to shop here but I'm done trying to catch them when they're open. They have an Instagram that is basically full of the owners selfies and some posts showing their products. I've asked questions about product availability and price but was ignored twice so I'm left to feel like they aren't interested in my business. I'm a makeup junkie so it really is their loss.. I'll just have to stick to stores that are more consistent with their times as I don't have lots of free time to waste trying to shop somewhere. read more

I loved the set up and that its a small business. But not as professional. I needed a MUA,made an apt for a trail. I loved it! I originally was told a price. Which isn't a big deal but then she tried telling me that lashes were not include and that's an extra when at first she said it's included. A week after she says she says she can't make it at a certain time. Altough i tried to work out the times she kept constantly trying to bail and excuses about how i wouldnt wanna run late and this and that. Mind you i wanted to start 30 mins before the time she suggested. So shes still insisting to recommend someone else, so i agree. Now I'm just a bit upset that I booked it with her and did my trail got the prices only to be cancelled and now it's a different price/ person. The girl she recommended had to cancel due to her pregnancy which is more then understandable. So i contact the original girl and she thinks some how im coming off angry or upset. Bringing up that i didnt book in advance because a month before isnt enough.(yes people book months in advance)But she was avaliable my day before my trial and on my trial day. Im not angry at this point its more frustation. i just want my make up done on my wedding day. She tells me she cant shes all booked but can recommend someone else and i just said no thanks. This is all a week before my wedding. I just recommend to customers to double check prices and dates with these girls! Their work is awesome tho. I still had a kick ass MUA on my wedding day shes the real MVP read more
