The gm Tim had called us after I placed a review and claimed he would get us another session but nothing ever came of that... just steer clear of this place and go to a private massage therapist instead. This chain just wants your money and doesn't give a damn if you leave feeling relaxed or refreshed. Would do zero stars if we could.

The morning of, Massage Envy called to cancel my husband's appointment. He was the whole reason we were even doing this. When I tried to call to cancel my appointment, I spent an hour getting transferred around and having no one pick up (someone must have been there to have called and cancelled my husband's appointment). When I finally did speak to someone, she said I was going to have to pay the cancellation fee even though they were the ones who cancelled one of the appointments. I understand having a cancellation fee policy, but this woman was rude and completely unhelpful. After she hung up on me, I started the whole process again of calling back. I finally got through to someone who took care of it after apparently the first woman talked to her. I had reservations about going to a chain like this in the first place, and this proves why. Terrible customer service and completely ruined the fun outing for my husband's day and took hours of my morning away.

It was tough enough to find a new "botox girl" after relocating from San Francisco to Brooklyn but…read morethe real challenge was finding one after COVID-19 landed me working remotely in a farm house upstate. I was convinced I may have to live with my forehead as-is and began an impressive collection of hats. Enter Kelly. I actually came across their IG and almost wrote it off as too good to be true: experienced, multiple accolades AND up-to-date communication with clients through social channels (with a sense of humor to boot.) I had my first appointment with Kelly about a week ago and can confirm she and her team are as good as they seem. *Detailed consultation with personalized recommendations and thorough explanation of treatment plan: check *Demonstrated knowledge of injectables and facial muscle composition/patterns: check *COVID-19 precautions: check check check, inclusive of temperature reading prior to entering and contact tracing. HUGE plus. *Bedside manner: this isn't a must-have for me, I'm more of a 'ends justify the means' when it comes to injectables and prioritize competency over conversation but Kelly's personality was too good not to mention, plus a huge perk to anybody new to the scene who could use a little comfort! Highly personable, funny, professional and visibly skilled at her craft. *Results: We all know this is what you've read this far for. 10/10. I had even asked about a particular injection site and it's contribution to my desired results and learned something new. I achieved some of my favorite results with less units than with my previous provider. TL;DR So yeah - this is the spot.

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. UNLAWFULLY OPERATED…read more The practice is run by a Physician Assistant (PA), but New York State law clearly states that PAs must work under the supervision of a licensed physician. When I asked to speak with their Medical Director, I was told they didn't have one. (Article 131-B of the New York Education Law governs the practice of physician assistants in the state.) The injector GiGi performed unauthorized treatments, including injecting Botox into my gummy lines--something I never requested or approved. When I returned to address the poor results, the PA had to step in to sternly direct the injector to only use half an injection to fix the Spock brow I had been left with. Despite these efforts, the results were far from satisfactory. My appearance resembled what can only be described as a "serial killer" smile. (See below pictures) They also convinced me to choose a "lip flip" instead of lip fillers, claiming it would help "quiet my facial muscles" before injections. It's unclear whether the resulting smile was caused by the lip flip or the unauthorized gummy line injections, but the outcome has been devastating. Even three months later, my smile is still not back to normal, despite being told that the effects would wear off quickly. The dismissive attitude that mistakes don't matter because "Botox wears off" is unacceptable. If a procedure's effects last for months, the least they can do is get it right the first time. Another alarming issue is their lack of transparency. While consent and waiver forms are uploaded to the online portal, they fail to include any documentation of the injection sites. This omission feels deliberate, and it makes me question what they might be trying to hide. On a personal level, this experience ruined what should have been a joyful time. I had just returned from a 10-month military deployment and was looking forward to reuniting with my loved ones. I wanted to look refreshed and less stressed, but instead, I ended up feeling self-conscious and unattractive. I even asked my boyfriend to delay proposing because I didn't want to look this way in engagement photos. It's heartbreaking that such a special moment had to be put on hold because of their carelessness. The staff assured me that what happened to me was rare and that the effects would subside quickly. However, after extensive research, I found only one similar case online, which confirms that my experience is far from normal.

The time came where the groupon had nearly expired -- given that I am a terrible procrastinator -- and Kristin worked VERY hard with me to find a time where I could come in. All of the services that I received were exceptional, and although I haven't had my hair done by Kristin yet, she is a kind and welcoming individual who always seems glad to see me. Since that first time, I have been in every couple of months for one person in particular: Amy, the aesthetician of my dreams. Amy is my guru, my hero, my Yoda. When I first came in, I had (with all of the best of intentions) completely destroyed my skin. I had been using various products I knew very little about in an attempt to treat my acne which had actually happened as a result of the astringent products I was using making my face extremely sensitive! To hide this from others I was piling foundation and concealer onto my face, which prevented any kind of healing. Amy knew instantly what was wrong and had all sorts of recommendations to make. Every day my skin looks better, and each time I go to Kristin's her smile shows me how drastic the change has been. In fact, with the exception of a tinted SPF I have been using, I have almost completely ceased to use make-up. I don't need it! My skin is incredible! Although everyone at Kristin's will make your day and make you feel fabulous, I cannot recommend Amy's services highly enough. My sister (also an aesthetician) had been telling me for months to find a professional and get real advice about my skin, and her advice led me to this person who made a HUGE difference in my self-image and confidence. Go to Kristin's! As soon and as often as possible!!! You will not regret this decision!

I had a really disappointing experience at Skin Forensics…read more I came in during early pregnancy after having already experienced back to back miscarriages, and my skin was in terrible shape. I explained that I believed I was dealing with hormonal acne, but the owner repeatedly assured me I was wrong. Instead, she diagnosed me with dermatitis and insisted that I was likely having an allergic reaction to my laundry detergent. She recommended an oil-based cleanser that she had formulated herself, which I personally believe made my skin significantly worse, and I also spent money replacing all of my laundry detergent based on her advice. Throughout the appointment, I felt unheard and dismissed. After my skin continued to worsen, I later saw a dermatologist, who confirmed my suspicion that I was, in fact, experiencing hormonal acne. What concerned me most, however, was that despite knowing I was pregnant, she encouraged me to take cod liver oil supplements, saying the high vitamin A content would be beneficial. I later learned that excessive preformed vitamin A during pregnancy can increase the risk of birth defects, and I was incredibly relieved that I chose not to follow that recommendation. I understand that everyone's experience may be different, but based on mine, I would encourage anyone--especially if you're pregnant--to be cautious and to discuss any skincare or supplement recommendations with your OB or healthcare provider before taking them.
