I purchased a saree and some ethnic jewelry for a Bollywood party in Central Jersey last weekend, and did not know how to put it on. So, my husband and I contacted the Mall at Oak Tree, and Sheela, who works there and is an angel, was more than happy to help. My husband and I are not of the culture, but we weren't judged, and were treated with respect and patience while there. I also noticed plenty of other beautiful sarees and ethnic jewelry that I will purchase upon my return. I did not have everything that I needed to complete my look that night, but Sheela made all of the proper alterations/adjustments and treated me with as much care as a paying customer, despite the fact that she did not charge us one cent. Due to her expertise and generosity, I won first prize for best Bollywood look that night. Top-tier garments and top-tier service at a premium store. What more can you ask for? Be sure to stop by the Mall at oak Tree, and ask for Sheela, who will accommodate you, and send you to your event looking fierce.

I visited the Mall at Oak Tree in February of 2020 to shop for my wedding gown and mehndi attire. I had only worn Indian attire once before, so I was a little anxious about finding something fashionable, well fitting and that fit my own vision for the wedding. I visited a few stores prior to the Mall at Oak Tree and didn't find anything that was quite right. However, I knew when I started looking through the many dresses and designers here that I would find something perfect! Even better, I was able to get both dresses at a price much lower than my overall budget! The staff did a great job taking my measurements and guiding me about fit and style since I had never worn a lehenga previously. Both dresses arrived early for my delayed wedding in June of 2021, along with a custom dupatta for my bridal lehenga. Each piece fit really well and required very little adjustment (had to remove cups and add elastic to one skirt's waistline). All of our friends and family loved both pieces and I truly felt like a princess at each event! I would highly recommend working with Ritu, Priya or Sheela as they all contributed to creating the perfect looks for my mehdni party and wedding day! Many thanks to you all!

Buyer beware - if you're not local to Edison and/or immediately planning to spend thousands of dollars, I don't recommend shopping here. I made a trip from DC to the Mall at Oak Tree for potential bridal wear and ended up buying an outfit I liked for a pre-wedding event. So many things went wrong: 1) No promised alterations were done on my outfit. Chirag, the owner or someone with authority there, seems to believe alterations were done "incorrectly," as though I somehow grew 4 inches in height and lost 40 lbs in 2 weeks... 2) This item was "less than $1000," so when a family member went to pick it up after it was supposed to be altered to my size, Rekha told her the item was not expensive enough to iron or send in a garment bag (things that were promised to us when we bought the outfit). 3) Rekha forgot to send the dupatta that belonged with the outfit. This had to be mailed to me. The Mall tried to fix the alterations on my outfit twice, but they lost my measurements so the outfit they sent back 1) cutoff my circulation and 2) then reverted back to being too big. This was even after I FaceTimed them to give them my measurements. In the end, this whole saga took over a month and I never got a properly tailored outfit. Check the pictures for the quality of their workmanship.

I got my lehenga for my sangeet from here and it was the easiest, most fun, and most convenient experience ever. I had a general idea of what I wanted, and when my parents and I went to the Mall at Oak Tree, I tried on some outfits and found the lehenga that I ended up choosing! Sheela, Ritu ji, and Niharika were helpful and overall fun to work with. They had great suggestions, and we were able to place the order quickly! I wanted a different color than the lehenga that I had found in the store, so they took my measurements and the color I wanted, and sent it to India. Once the clothing came from India, I had to go back to try it on. The color, the measurements...everything was perfect! There was no issue with the stitching, either - everything was sewn together with extreme care, and you could tell! Thank you so much for all of your help! Definitely go here for any of your wedding attire - you will not be disappointed.

I did all of my wedding outfit shopping at the mall! If you want to find designer outfits this is the only place I found in the New York New Jersey area that had as much of a selection of designer outfits. Now this may make you think it is automatically more pricey but truth be told if you go looking for a knock off of a designer outfit, you will be spending about the same and at time even more. Chirag and Niharika were the best as was the rest of their staff. To add to it, my husband and I met Tarun Tahiliani himself in person and he personally helped me pick out my wedding outfit! This was truthfully one of the best parts of the whole wedding experience. Both of our wedding outfits were Tarun and my reception outfit was tarun as well. Thanks again everyone at Mall at Oak Tree. My experience with Simran at the mall at oak tree was absolutely wonderful!!! Me, my mom and masi came in the beginning of May to shop for a lehenga for my Sangeet that was going to be at the end of June. We knew we were shopping last minute but while we were there we fell completely in love with a lehenga that was already bought my some one else. Rather than just saying tough luck Simran went out of her way to see if she could get another version of the lehenga we fell in love with.... and she found a way! She contacted the designer in India, ordered it and got it sent to the store all with more than a week to spare before my Sangeet! Throughout the entire she sent us updates and kept us in the loop on when we can expect the lehenga. I will never forget the important role Simran played in making our weekend special :) thank you Simran!!

I read the good reviews here and visited this mall. The stores had gorgeous lehengas, really really nice ones. Super duper expensive, probably due to designer wear. I wanted to buy a kurt or salwar set. Their selection was not good at all. I was surprised at how amazing the lehengas were while salwar sets were just not good. And the prices were crazy. So I left. They also didn't have a very extensive selection. I recommend them for lehengas though, if you are willing to pay an arm and a leg. Very friendly staff. read more

After seeing almost all the stores in the area I was about to give up and plan a trip to India. But I was very fortunate to have found " the mall" just then. I had something in mind for my wedding day and Ritu Aunty made my wishes come true. Very well priced, the outfit was designed per my wishes and custom made from India. Ritu Aunty also designed my stunning reception outfit. This place is by far the best in the US. Great customer service, very affordable and great flexibility to suit your taste. My friend and her daughter came to NJ for bridal shopping. They went around 3 other shops and finally last Saturday went to the mall at Oak tree. Boy were they happy. They bought all the bridal and bride's mom shopping at this one store. The key was Rekha. She spent almost 5 hours - very polite, very knowledgeable and more importantly very patient. She clearly understood the bride's taste and her needs, color options and pulled out one winner after another. They were willing to do the alterations and provided reasonable discounts. Even provided a matching underskirt for a saree. After having visited three other shops the previous day where don't touch this, you can't try this on; this outfit has already been bought (beats the heck out of me as to why they display it and outrageous prices) were common occurrences, the mall at oak tree had really tasteful designer pieces. It also helped they had a beautiful Ritu Kumar piece on 50% off. With Rekha's service, the bride and the mom ditched their idea of buying a piece from another shop. The other Indian shops should take a lesson from this wonderful lady. I would highly recommend THE MALL AT OAK TREE. read more

Mall at Oak Tree is absolutely terrible; they sell outdated stuff at outrageous prices and are not capable of handling any custom orders in your size. You have to try to like something they have in your size. I would not recommend this shop to anyone since they are not able to deliver any orders on time and provide terrible customer service!!! Also this place has like 5-10 and most of them are reserved for the owners so customers have to try to find parking elsewhere!! read more

When we came to our appt, they didn't have it in the system and they weren't very welcoming at that point but we showed that we did pay so they helped us and we ended up buying 4 pieces. I think their selection is one of the best in Edison but they could have overall been more warmer and more friendly is my only feedback. I think they were more friendly once they knew we were buying but it would have been nice to be received that way from the start.

We approached Aisha at Resham Creations in Fall 2024. Initially, she was charismatic, warm, and…read morefriendly, giving positive feedback on design elements. We made a deposit for several outfits over the next few months, including nikkah, mehndi, and Shaadi outfits for my husband and me. However, her behavior changed drastically after the deposit, with numerous instances of inappropriate, unprofessional, and manipulative conduct. At first, her communication was good. After the deposit, calls went unanswered, messages ignored, and voicemails disregarded. Promised deadlines were repeatedly missed. My husband had to call multiple times daily, sometimes waiting days for a response, only to be told the outfits wouldn't be ready on time. On multiple occasions, she suggested we reschedule our wedding or change travel plans to fit her delays -- utterly unacceptable. Documentation was chaotic from the start. We discussed specific fabrics, colors, and upgrades which she confirmed (and charged extra for), but there was no organized record. Notes were handwritten, receipts cryptic, and she lost documentation multiple times, complicating the process. Details we explicitly rejected were included, and some paid upgrades never happened. She lost my husbands measurements weeks before the deadline and asked me to measure myself. The quality was inconsistent and disappointing. For example, my nikkah veil had a seam down the center, which she claimed was necessary for support and barely noticeable. Yet, I found the identical veil on her company's social media with no seam--suggesting a quick repair rather than a remake. The mehndi outfit's fabric came apart within hours of wearing it (photos attached), and the wedding dress had sequins glued on instead of sewn, falling off within hours despite the premium price. Poor timeliness and communication made this experience a nightmare. We were first promised delivery by April 25th, then April 20th after paying for upgrades, then reverted back to April 25th when she lost the documentation. She missed the deadline and said it would be done during our wedding week, then blamed Ramadan and her staff's vacation. We received the dress 36 hours before the wedding. When we requested an urgent trial and adjustments, she insisted on unreasonable demands, like waiting until 5 pm to iron the outfits (which she never did). The wedding dress had wrong fabrics, trims, and quality issues. It was too late for major fixes; we just wanted the dresses. Shockingly, Aisha expressed frustration that adjustments were needed because I lost weight, ignoring that normal alterations happen weeks in advance. Her business operations were also bizarre -- frequent offline credit card terminals, no business Zelle or Venmo, requiring online payments to random family members. Our final interaction was explosive. Aisha screamed at my mother, threatened to call the cops, and snatched my dress, saying she'd "rather go to jail" than give us what we paid for. This reaction stemmed from complaints about her delays. She was derogatory and dismissive toward my mother, even telling me not to let her mom speak to her about the dress -- a completely unreasonable boundary. My husband and I will never return to Resham Creations nor recommend it to family or friends. Despite a beautiful wedding filled with joyful memories, Resham Creations contributed nothing positive. We felt unsafe, threatened, and emotionally drained dealing with Aisha. Her business is disorderly, client interactions manipulative, and conflict management unprofessional. She is a pathological liar, creating confusion and overwhelming stress. What should have been a magical experience turned into a nightmare--not just because of the dresses, but due to the cruelty, chaos, and deceit we endured.

I also secure some travel-sized bottles perfect for my travels. They also had neck pillows for the plane ride. Lest I forget to mention, they have a vast array of snacks, which my partner in crime is always finding when I'm meandering around. The Mall at Oak Tree is truly one of a kind! You absolutely get the perks of shopping as if your in India...from getting to meet exclusive designers to refreshments being served to you as you shop. Their tailoring work is amazing and your outfits fit like a glove to your body type. It's a one stop shop at The Mall at Oak Tree. My brother's wedding shopping was done all here. There was no need to get a ticket and to fly to India. All the way from the groom's outfits to the groomsmen custom made pieces to the my sister in law's wedding lengha. Their attire added to their dream wedding. All my outfits for each event were made and bought from The Mall. I just recently attended a wedding in Toronto and I stopped over at The Mall at Oak Tree to buy all my outfits for each event. Ritu auntie and Chirag have such an incredible vision of how to put together pieces to look trendy for a Sangeet,Mendhi and Reception. Not to forget to mention all the wonderful help of Simran and Rekha who are always styling me for any occasion I go to. My daughter, sister and I came to NJ to find Sangeet Ceremony outfit for my daughter. We went around Oak Tree Road Edison to find perfect outfit it was total waste of time. Finally we ended up at Oak tree mall. They were having Tarun Thialani trunk show that weekend so the place was packed. We were so lucky that we met Simran as we entered. She greeted us with her beautiful smile and helped us to find Gorgeous Payal Singhal Lehangha for my daughter as well as Tarun Thiliani saree for my sister. Simran was very nice and patient in helping us to find the perfect outfit for sangeet within our budget without pushing or overwhelming us. Amazing service and dresses! I was so impressed with her service that I took my family next weekend for more shopping for the wedding. We bought beautiful TarunThilani and Payal singhal outfit. We were amazed by the collection of this store. This store has a good collection of clothes for all occasions. Customer service was excellent. We were helped by Simran. She is amazing, energetic and full of ideas. In no time she became our family member. My daughter found her wedding outfits. Not only did she find her outfits they helped her with different suggestions and jewelry. Simran arranged for alterations. She constantly followed up with updates regarding alterations and new ideas to go with these dresses. We all were very happy with clothes and services. After reading previous Yelp reviews, my fiancee, mother and I headed straight to The Mall at Oak Tree for our reception shopping. We left less than 90 minutes later completely set for the party. Rekha and the rest of the staff did an amazing job of assisting us in finding pieces that suited our taste, body types, and were within our budget. Rekha is extremely patient, competent and knowledgeable. She offered us discounts wherever possible, made us feel confident about alterations, and was very communicative and easy to work throughout the entire process. If you like Pernia's Pop-Up Shop or Exclusively.com but are reluctant to order online like I was, working with Rekha at The Mall at Oak Tree is your next best bet! The Mall at Oak Tree ended up having everything we needed for our wedding planning. I worked specifically with Rekha to find both a ceremony and a reception outfit and I would highly recommend her to anyone. She listened to my thoughts on colors, styles and fit and made great suggestions on what to try on and what to modify to meet my needs. Rekha worked patiently with us for a few hours as we moved through different outfits and even called me at home to confirm some additional items with a blouse order - I really appreciated that she did that instead of just going ahead with a design. I absolutely love this mall. They carry most amazing clothes (Sarees, Lehngas, Salwaars, Gowns etc.) in designer & non-designer wear. You are sure to find something in your range in this mall. The staff over here is wonderful & not pushy at all (to put you under pressure to buy) This is the best place to shop for Wedding, Sangeet, Mehndi, Cocktail party or any other event you need outfit for. You don't need to go to India to shop any more as they have wonderful range right here in USA. The owner (Ritu) is amazing person & very understanding & accommodative. This mall has more choices from all the rest of the stores I have seen nearby. I had a pleasant experience with buying an outfit for my engagement. The woman who helped me throughout was Rekha, you must ask for her when you go in! She understands your needs as a bride-to-be and she is patient and is willing to help you every step of the way. Someone like that is what you need when you go bridal shopping, as it can become very stressful to find the perfect outfit. This place is great. I was so glad my friend recommended The Mall. Thankfully I didn't have to try to fight for a parking spot as it is for the rest of the stores on Oak Tree. The Mall has its own parking lot, which saves a lot of time and energy. The employee who helped me really took care of me. She understood what I was looking for and since I was on a budget she didn't waste my time and showed me outfits wells within my budget. I had an amazing experience at the mall In Oak Tree when I was shopping for my niece's Lehnga. We ran into a very nice sales representative in that store that went out of her way several times to show us the best stuff. She was very affectionate and truly loved doing her job. I recently went to The Mall at Oak Tree to look for a suit for my sister's baby shower and I could not believe at the price tag. I got a nice, trendy anarkali (suit) for only $159. It was gorgeous. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. The fit was perfect and the employee that helped me was very polite. This has to be the best place on Oaktree if not the whole North East..because of the selection here I have stopped going to India. All my fashion and accessories needs are fully satisfied here..
