I had a good experience here! I desperately needed a haircut the weekend before Christmas, and Morgan was available on Saturday. I was able to make the appointment the day before which was super convenient. It was a bit of a drive from Gainesville, but well worth it for the quality and affordability. Morgan was friendly and asked lots of clarifying questions to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. I paid $26 for a wash, cut, and blow dry (usually $36, but I got a referral discount), which is amazing!! No place in Gainesville will give you a decent haircut for less than $60. I tryed the mane hair loft for the first time and will never go back! Don't get me wrong. It's beautiful inside and they have great customer service. I went inside to get a wash and a trim. My hair was down to my back when I walked in there. I literally asked for a trim. I told the lady I would like to keep my length and I wanted just under an inch of my haircut off because I have a long, beautiful hair, she cut my hair all the way to about just my shoulders. I am so upset because I have been growing my hair out for so long. read more

I had a consultation & felt comfortable with the girl, I do believe her name was Brittany or Brenda...it was a few months ago. I was told the stylist would call me back on the price & any concerns I had within a few days once she ordered my extensions! Well, very dissatisfied that no one called back & when I (the customer) called I couldn't speak to Brittany...the receptionist was very pleasant, but did not know how to answer my questions. She stated stylist would call me back & never had the time! I spoke every time to receptionist. TACKY! They told me my bill would be about 500 dollars & couldn't even get my stylist to tell talk to me OR call me back. This would've been my 1st time going there too. Not good! I was back & forth & was getting no where! So, I decided not to go. About 2-3 weeks later I got a call from the owner/manager & left a msg that she was on vacation & would get to the bottom of the matter & then NEVER heard back from her either? Dang, so unprofessional & very expensive to say the least....without any resolution. Nope, won't ever return NOR recommend this salon to anyone!!! RUDE! read more

After going here for a year and being a consistent client (and sending multiple referrals to them), I am leaving due to one of their stylists having an immature meltdown over me being late for my appointment by 15 minutes when she was late by 20 minutes the last two times I was there. Just a month ago, she told me I was one of her most consistent clients and that she can always count on me to be there. She acted like it was no big deal when she has someone with wet hair sitting in her chair at my appointment time but when I got stuck at a doctors appointment and I tried to call, but my phone was having issues and it won't go through, she makes a big fuss about it, and tells me how much she's done for me, and how much she has gone above and beyond for me. That is not true. Everything she has done for me was agreed-upon ahead of time and was paid for and tipped well for. I don't appreciate the way she dealt with this issue. When she decided to leave me with a part of my extension hanging out, and me looking like a fool, saying she was so busy, she walked away and closed the door behind her, and never returned. It needs to go both ways in my opinion. (DON'T GET HAIR EXTENSIONS HERE-if something happens and you look like a fool, they don't have have your back.). If you can be late for my appointment, I don't expect to get a lot of blowback when I'm late on a rare occasion for one of yours. Also, this issue occurred after she told me 3 days ago it was no problem and she could fit me in anywhere today. Just come on in. Very disappointing and I look forward to speaking with the owner of the establishment soon. read more

I had a male (can't remember his name). He was very nice, BUT desperately needs to go back to beauty school. Made a mess of my hair, top too long, one back side much shorter than the other, hi-lighting took in one small section of top, front. The place was like a zoo! Several women walking around, talking to him, asking him questions, showing him pictures on their phones etc., they were not customers. Also, he had to answer the phones, make appts., & deal with the walk-ins all while doing my hair!!!! Will NEVER go there again! read more

After having a horrible experience at another hair salon, I decided to try Mane hair Loft. My first visit was OK and Tina seemed to care about my bad experience. My second visit, I decided to add a few highlights to my hair and told Tina my hair lifts extremely fast. She told me she was using a low volume processor so no need to worry. After 30 minutes and my hair tuning white, she proceeded to tell me she was going to tone it. I explained, I don't tone my hair because it tones everything not just the highlights, so they pulled the toner off and I was left with extremely bright highlights. After a couple days I called and shared I wasn't happy with my hair. I went back in only to be greeted with an attitude and then Tina proceeded to put numerous low lights in even though I asked for a few to break up the white. To top it all off, she changed me $100 to fix my hair. I do not recommend this salon to anyone who wants a professional experience! read more
