Husband and I went to Easter Brunch Buffet and it was outstanding. The ballroom was set up beautifully, the tables had linen table cloths and linen napkins, the seating was spaced well so you could move around and the entire atmosphere was pleasant. No photos, unfortunately, because of the nature of the event (funeral luncheon), but still deserving of comment! We were in a private space, fairly intimate, but the waitstaff maneuvered seamlessly. They were impeccable with service, and the buffet-style set up was lovely. The food, however, was the star! Our hosts chose salad, AMAZING roasted carrots/broccoli/brussels sprouts, Chicken Picatta and Baked Haddock. Rave reviews from all. Brownies and warm Chocolate Chip Cookies rounded out the event, and I noticed many ppl taking 'to go' boxes which is usually a very good indicator! To reply to your review of my comments, my mother owned a restaurant for 45 years. I know what prime rib looks like. I've eaten it 1000 times and ham which I make every Christmas Thanksgiving is not round sitting in a bath of water. I wish I took a picture and then I could prove it to you And your desserts should've not been on that table. You should be ashamed of yourselves for serving those desserts you probably would've been better if you went to the market and and got something from their bakery because you obviously do not care about the quality of of the food, you serve to your customers. And the guy at the carving station was only interested in the waitresses with his hat, turned backwards, his dirty jeans and his dirty T-shirt. We recently went to a Mercy Dinner at the Manor. Bar tender inexperienced, food average and when I asked the waitress for a small box for my aunt (86) to take the uneaten food home. The waitress said the CDC didn't allow it. I Checked wirh the CDC and they never posted or said anything about taking food home. Something is not correct. I've only come here for prearranged Banquet luncheons. Funeral luncheons to be exact. Probably 10 of them in the past 5 years. Not sure who is to blame - but it's always the same thing. Over cooked green beans drowning in tomato sauce. Over cooked fish with a distinct odor of fish and fluorescent orange bread crumbs. Rice pilaf that looks exactly like the Near East stuff. And cheap bottles of wine on the table. An extra star since the servers are fast and attentive. Plus they allow the family to bring in sweets - baklava and those powdered sugar crescent moon cookies. Since their apple pie is inedible. Based on these experiences I would never eat here by choice. read more

Didn't even know it was here! Came for a bridal shower brunch and was very impressed. Not bad for a buffet brunch, with fluffy eggs (SO HARD TO PULL OFF ON A BUFFET!) and super crispy and not burnt bacon. Penne pasta was not mushy - not all dente but not mushy, with a pleasant alfredo sauce and nice chunks of chicken. Very enjoyable. The room was tight, which made it very difficult to move around - but that was more how the family had arranged it. Staff was super nice and professional. Didn't know it was there! But I don't venture out that way at all, so there was no way of knowing. It did make me want to come down the street and explore West Boylston. Overall, good job and nice people. read more

I hosted my mother's birthday luncheon here. Everyone was wonderful. It was a small event compared to what they usually handle but I felt like the treated us just like anyone else! The coordinator explained all my options and was patient with me in talking through my choices. The waitress was attentive but not hovering which was exactly what we wanted. The food was perfect. Hot and cooked just right. The rolls were awesome!! I really appreciated being able to bring in my own cake from my moms favorite bakery. I will defiantly use The Manor again for an event. read more

I have eaten her about 20 times in the past 2 years. The food and service has always been consistent. The owner has always greeted us friendly and promptly. She always checked in on each table to make sure everything is fine. She almost always delivers us refills if we are low. The rare times I had an issue with a meal they always tried to correct it immediately and quick to apologize. The chicken gyro was very tasty. The pita was fresh and the chicken was juicy. The side fruit (watermelon) was sweet and a nice compliment to a healthy meal. The rolls are always hot and fresh and the meals plentiful. The chicken calabrio is oil based on the blander side but the cheese makes it all better. I tried the Tuscan chicken brucetta pasta today. Very nice. Always stuffed with left overs. We went to the Draught House located inside the Manor Banquet Facility in celebration of my father's birthday. Service was prompt and friendly, the building was clean though perhaps a bit old, and the food was decent. I ordered the Black & Bleu Avocado Steak Salad. They certainly did not skimp on the steak. The pieces were large and cooked the way I requested. I ended up only eating about half of it because the portion was so large. My husband ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and enjoyed it. It was a similarly large portion but also very tasty in general. My friends ordered the Chicken & Bacon Spinachi, Beef Tenderloin Tips, and French Onion Soup. They all enjoyed their orders. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience. I wouldn't call it fancy dining by any means but it was a very nice place to feed around 15 people at a reasonable price. read more

Bella's Ball charity event for Why Me, Sherry's House 2016. Such a great cause and always a beautiful evening. The function room is looking fabulous! They are redoing it and so far they have painted, gotten all new chairs and did some new wonderful decorations for this event. They will be working in updating the rug and flooring as well. This is a wonderful place to have any function. Inside the ball room they have two bars on either side, a nice sized dance floor in the middle, big bathrooms downstairs and also a men's and ladies single stall upstairs. There are also two other bars outside of the function room. The Draught House. Pool tables. Fire place. More bathrooms. Plenty of parking as well. read more

Apparently the restaurant part of this place is now called the Drought House. I posted the below review for the drought house but am posting here as well since I believe the sign outside is for the Manor. I recently tried to eat at this establishment with my wife and 3 children. I say tried because we left before they bothered seating us. We walked in and there was no one at the hostess station. We waited a good 5 minutes before someone from another party poked their head into the dining area and the hostess came out. We were then informed that the wait would be half an hour, we were torn due to the wait but decided to stay. We then waited patiently and the kids were pretty well behaved for waiting so long. After about 45 minutes the hostess pulled out a high chair for us and asked us if a booth would be ok or would we be ok with a high top. Since both were clearing up. My kids are small and the high top chairs are fairly high so we asked for the booth. This was it, we were going to be seated and finally get some food into those kids. A woman from another party then started complaining and the hostess proceeded to seat them in the booth they were getting ready for us. We assumed it wouldn't be much longer and decided to stay. They then sat everyone else in the waiting area. A very nice, I'm assuming Greek, gentleman asked if he could give the kids lollipops and agreed to make a deal with them to eat their dinner before they had the lollipops. After a wait of 1 hr and 10 minutes we decided to leave as the youngest of our group had had enough. We then put on our coats and the Greek gentleman along with the hostess came running over to tell us it would only be a few minutes. I told the hostess that she had informed us the wait was 30 minutes and we had been there over an hour. She then told me that she can't tell how long it will take. Well I have news for you, that is part of your job. Part of your job is to estimate how long it will take and then inform the patron. Being off a little is fine but being off over 40 minutes is not. The Greek Gentleman had offered a private room but after the attitude of the hostess we were all set. Another note, there was a room off to the side that they were not using. The hostess was telling people they only seat people there on the weekends. Hmmm...well we were there on a Sunday night. I'm assuming she considers Friday and Saturday the weekend, but most of us mere mortals consider Sunday the weekend. Our Sunday ended on a very aggravating note and with a review being posted to yelp. read more

The restaurant is what I'm reviewing. The rolls are almost always served hot and fresh, and it's all downhill after that. I've been to the manor a dozen times or so, as I almost always go, have a terrible meal, resolve to never go back, have memory loss, and go back anyway. The food is very standard 80's grill fare. The appetizers universally taste nitratey. I would be amazed if any of them are freshly prepared. The dinner stuff is probably freshly assembled from preserved ingredients. The food isn't bad per se, but it just tastes from a different time. A time of preservatives, nitrates, and fried lots of stuff everywhere. I live in West Boylston, have for many, many years, and this is the last restaurant on the list of places to go for me. read more

The rolls are hot and fresh. Very delicious. We have been here many times, and had only a few issues. This is definitely a gem. The service is always good, and the kitchen normally very responsive. On Sunday afternoons the dining rom is open, but on Saturday's you eat in the bar. This is definitely one of the best restaurants we frequent. read more

Just had lunch there. Hostess was a doll. Fried calamari was frozen, and bland. The cherry peppers made the dish have some taste. I have to say that the burgers were cooked perfectly. So l will give it another shot. The menu is too big for everything to be fresh. Shorten the menu and buy better quality. You will have a successful bar and grill. read more

You know a review is either going to be amazing, or an epic failure, when the experience motivated an account creation. We walked in the door on a Tuesday night for dinner, and started off with an 8 minute wait at the desk for ANYONE to appear. When a waitress finally appeared, she said: 'Seat yourself in the dining room.' That would have been great... If there was a clean table. Off to the bar instead. I sit at corner of the bar, and bartender comes over. She looks at bar in front of me and says: 'That's weird, no one sat there, there shouldn't be any crumbs... ' Proceeds to wipe bar in front of me with her bare hands. Awesome. I'm pretty shocked at this point, but with 4 kids, you don't get nights out very often, no chance to bail now. I go all in, and order a Shocktop on draft. She pours a beer in what looked like an orange juice glass. I watched her pour it from Shocktop tap... Not Shocktop. Sam Adams. I let it go, because there is no stopping this ride at this point. We order Buffalo wings, which were cooked well, seasoned weird, and came with dressing that tasted more like Gorgonzola. Wife got Lobster Ravioli that was swimming in a SEA of pesto sauce. My tenderloin tips were average. Upon refill time, bartender says: 'This beer is kind of dark for a Belgian White.' No kidding I say, its Sam Adams. She continued pouring, never offered another choice, and just dropped it in front of me. KNOWING it wasn't even close to what I wanted? Actually laughing out loud at this point. We finished all our food, and she tossed the bill in a shot glass, at least 6 feet away from me. She points to it and says: there is your bill. Thanks. Hadn't been here in quite a while. The dining room has been updated and reconfigured to include a huge bar with many tv's. Seems they're catering to the drinking crowd versus the dinner crowd. I am a frequent visitor to West Boylston and have dined at the manor several times. The service has been very good and the food is well prepared. I do have a problem with the dirty upholstered benches in the waiting area. They should be thrown out. The bathrooms could be cleaner and my shoes have stuck to the floor at times when walking back to my seat from the restroom. I think a redo of the waiting area would make it more inviting. the business seems to be doing very well so maybe they don't think it matters. I do hope the kitchen is cleaner than the lobby. read more

We've been to the Manor a number of times for dinner, trivia, special occasions, ect. It's always a solid meal, lots of variety on their menu. Their Greek specialties are the BEST. Love the spanikopita, and the Greek salad has so much feta. Definitely a really good value, too. Their trivia jockey wasn't my favorite, though, so we've gone elsewhere for that since. We had the reception following my aunt's funeral in their function room space. The service was great, very attentive and the coordinators were awesome. The only weird thing was that the dessert that was served (strawberry mousse?) wasn't what the menu said it would be, it was supposed to be cookies. And the mousse wasn't good, from what I was told (I couldn't eat it). And the bathrooms are on another level and the floor is very uneven, I almost fell down. Other than those minor issues, I would definitely recommend them for a mercy meal, their warmth on the phone booking was enough to make it worth it. read more

I had my wedding at the Manor recently and I have mixed feelings about the place. Every meeting I had with them up until the big day went very well, but they ended up screwing up a lot of things on the day itself. Prices were very reasonable, but their rates have gone up for 2009 and I paid the 2008 rates from when I booked. I don't think I would choose the Manor with their current rates. The food was excellent, definitely a 5 out of 5. Unfortunately, the service to get the courses out was incredibly slow and their understaffing issue was very obvious. A bridal party attendant was nonexistent. My husband and I had to remind the staff that we needed to cut the cake, because they had totally forgotten about it. We gave the Manor a clearly laid out seating chart with where we wanted tables placed in the hall and the names of the tables (we had a tea-themed wedding, so the table names were types of tea). However, they completely mixed up six of the nine tables, which was fairly disastrous as my husband's parents are divorced and the mix-up had their tables right next to each other instead of on opposite sides of the hall as we had planned. Also, despite us clearly stating that the head table was also to have a name card, they became confused when there was an "extra" table name card. Their solution to this was to THROW OUT the place cards for an entire table - like we wouldn't notice! Thankfully this was able to be resolved minutes before the ceremony, but I was appalled that they would do something like this for someone's WEDDING. It boggles me, I can't even wrap my head around why they would do something like that. We also clearly labeled our teapot centerpieces to show which tables they should be placed on, but this was completely ignored. I know there had been a function in our room until 3pm, but our wedding did not start until 6pm. I thought being so specific in how we wanted things laid out would be helpful to the staff and make things easier for them, but instead our carefully made plans were simply ignored and errors covered up. I would recommend the Manor for dinner or a function, but not for a wedding. It's one of the most special days of a person's life, but they had no compunction with cutting corners and not listening to our wishes despite many reassuring promises. I did enjoy the night, but it's impossible to forget all the screw-ups of the evening. read more

Wish I could give a MINUS rating! I had been to the Manor previously, and had enjoyed my meal. Fine service, excellent menu, and great draft beer selection ... so I made reservations for Easter dinner and looked foreward to enjoying myself.. How could I have been so stupid! Uggghhhh ... Upon entering the establishment, I was asked to pay up front before I ever saw the dining area . Three of us ... over $110. I had been told it was buffet only, no menu options, so I trusted, based upon my past (non-buffet) experiences. I paid. I was led around a corner and herded into a vast hall crammed with several hundreds of loud louts. We were seated near the center of traffic, and introduced to a mediocre buffet. The raw bar consisted of ... over COOKED shrimp. oysters that seemingly had been opened three days ago, and were DRY, and something that looked like raw mussels ... not very appetizing. I asked what beers were on tap, and was told there was NO draft ... only bottles and cans. The only Sam Adams they has was the lager. I fixed a plate, and the mashed potatoes were good, as was the gravy. The desert table was well picked over and messy. No thanks! We exited there with the resolve to avoid the Manor in the future. Life is way too short, and this area has way too many good restaurants to make us ever want to risk another visit. read more

My fiancee & I ate here Saturday night. The food was really good, but the service was lacking. When we asked what beers were on tap, she rattled off the usual domestics and other common beers before saying, "I don't remember them all; there's 16 or 17 of them. Was there one you were looking for?" Yeah, the ones you have on tap that we don't know about! She didn't put in our appetizer order either. For Sunday, we chose fish and chips. Thin and crispy coating and extremely fresh. Spanakopita plate was tasty, could use another slice or two of feta. Winter tomatoes do not cut it. 34 beers on tap says the sign but our selections were not available. While the new Draught house / bar is new and the beer selection is better than some places, The food is inconsistent. I had a Chicken BLT Panini and the chicken was so tough that almost pulled out with each bite and was chewy. Both halves of the sandwich were exactly the same. I mentioned it to the bar tender and all she said was that the Sirloin BLT Panini is her favorite. No apology or offer to take care of it. read more

I had never been to The Manor before attending a wedding there earlier this year. To start, they had 2 weddings going on at the same time and they were not clearly marked so there was a lot of chaos/confusion on the hallway area with 2 weddings worth of people milling about and trying to figure out where they belonged (the facility in general did not seem large enough to handle 2 weddings). Our wedding was served buffet style and the food was some of the worst wedding food I have ever had. One of the options was steak tips and they looked good but were so rubbery and chewy and lacked any kind of taste. The potatoes and vegetables were blah and lacking any sort of taste as well....thank god for salt. And one of my biggest pet peeves ever......the waitress that was taking care of our table reeked of cigarette smoke. So disgusting. read more

We've been to the Manor several times and usually it is pretty good. However, the last couple of times we've been there we've found them to be so disorganized. They seated us at a table in the corner near the popcorn machine where the table is faced looking out the window to the paved parking lot. You can't see ayone else unless you actually turn around and look at the people behind you sitting at the bar. Looking back -- I would not sit there. I could have stayed home and had a better view. Our waitress came over and asked us if we wanted a beverage, we ordered one and waited 15 minutes for her to come back. After she delivered our drinks we placed our dinner order. I ordered the lamb burger -- medium cooked. When it arrived it was beyond well done and the bun was charred both on the top of the bun and the middle of the bun. We asked for ketchup and tazeki to go with it and waited another 7 or 8 minutes. So, all in all, although the waitress was pleasant she did a lousy job. I think that this place could do a much better job got if they organized and the cooks didn't overcook everything! read more

This is a follow up to my previous review. The owner has since contacted me through Yelp, and apologized for the service we received. She looked for specific dates and times, which leads me to believe she is going to follow up. She was nice enough to send us a gift certificate for our trouble, which I in turn, passed on to the newlyweds. Kudos to the ownership for following up on their critics. Hopefully, the service will improve to benefit us all. We were there for an employee's wedding, and several of us deduced the bartenders were giving us the wrong change. This happened to several tables several times. After approaching them, they apologized and gave us a free round. I approached the MANAGER, and he said he would look into it. It happened 2 more times after that. Upon further inspection, 3 more friends had similar experiences at other functions. Oh, the bread was good. read more

We had my daughter's Quinceañero this past weekend and it was perfect. Andrea and staff were phenomenal! They made sure everything went as planned. Food and drinks were awesome. My husband and I went last night - huge disappointment. We have gone to the manor many times but recently since they have created the draught house we have gotten several less than good meals and last night was the final straw. I understand it was busy but the place did not seem well organized. We waited for a table and it seemed we were rushed the whole time once we were seated. I tried to order the prime rib - out so I ordered fish and chips. It was the saddest piece of fish you have ever seen. It looked like it was microwaved to heat it and pathetic on the plate. My husband ordered the meat lasagna - again bad. It had been frozen and microwaved to heat up. They did try to "perk" it up with extra sauce and processed cheese that didn't melt. Again, we barely had time with our salads before our pathetic entrees arrived. Perhaps if you drink enough beer the poor quality food doesn't matter. Never going back. read more

My wife and I had our wedding there. The venue wasn't bad, the wait staff was incredible, the food wasn't bad, and the assistant wedding coordinator was awesome. Our biggest complaint was the wedding coordinator. She rushed our ceremony. She didn't give my wife what she asked for, which was a very simple request for a double door entrance during our ceramony. The decorations she told us to bring so her and her staff could set them up, never got set up. Our groomsmen, bridesmaids, friends, and family ended up having to scramble around to set everything up last minute. Other than the ceremony she rushed us through, the only time we saw her was when she told us we had to blow out our candles that the wait staff lit... like it was our fault that they were lit. I certainly don't recommend using this place as a wedding venue. If you must use it for a wedding please find your own wedding coordinator, or your experience will be a poor one. read more

A most sincere thank you to Katerina and her staff for turning a difficult and emotional time, into a celebration of life, which was so appropriate for my Mother's luncheon after her passing. My family and I have enjoyed dining at the Manor and Draught House for years. When my mom's health began to decline, I put Katerina on notice for a luncheon as I knew the enviable. Two years later, I called up Katerina to advise of our situation and desired plans. I barely needed to say a word - her compassion, sensitivity, and expert catering skills were ever present, and she lifted the weight off my shoulders. A few quick questions and suggestions, a very reasonable budget, and her guidance made for a beautiful afternoon. The food and wine, coffee and desserts, and the attention to our guests were all that I could have hoped for to celebrate my mother's life - memories and laughter filled the room as family and friends were brought together and shared stories. Many of us had not seen each other in years, and the staff was so accommodating to our needs and personalized the day. I'm not sure how many other restaurants would offer arrangements with the same heart as The Manor. The Fotiadis family truly feel for their patrons and always make you feel welcome. I went to the Manor for Easter brunch my family. This restaurant deserves no stars. Nothing on the buffet table was worth eating. The shrimp was soggy, shellfish wwre old, the meat was tough, the ham was too salty, and most of the buffet dishes were not appetizing. It was probably one of the worst buffets I have ever been to. I wish there was something good I could say about this experience but I can't. There is one good thing though, I didn't have to pay someone else did! read more
