Ice cream seemed to be made in house and the hardest part was deciding which kind to get. Burger was a good short order diner one. Also a little greenhouse and tchotchke shop if you're into that sort of thing. I almost forgot--the waffle cone was sensational!

I overheard her say, we'll, ill just put bacon bits on it! I said. no thanx, not on a sub! then they were out of turkey, as she said nobody had thawed it. so we ordered a cheeseburger sub to share and 3 shakes. wanted roll toasted, nope. and hamburger had a weird taste so the rest went to their local house cat. the cat ate the meat, so I guess it wasn't turning all that bad yet. dad's shake came, and the girl said. o, im sorry. the cover dont fit right, I had to go back in to get another shake cup and cover to dump it into. seriously? the greenhouse is another story. what a shame. hundreds of neglected plants, broken containers tipped over, dead leaves and plants everywhere. what an embarrassment. the owner and the staff just don't care, its obvious. I would be ashamed ti let any customer into that greenhouse. I fou d one healthy plant I would of purchased. but was told, that's not for sale. really???? they wont be open long unless somebody steps up o. one more thing, they no longer take your :punch: cards. even if full for a free small ice cream. several people have told me they've complained about this

We stopped in for our first visit on a Friday evening at six; there was an art festival in part of…read morethe parking lot, so it was a little congested. The building is an old one on Main Street, decorated in the Roycroft style and font: Minimalist and decorative. The line for ice cream moved quickly: The women behind the counter worked hard to fill orders, and most people knew what they wanted. We chose scoops of chocolate "Bada bing Bada bourbon" in a cup, and two scoops of gelato in a waffle cone. The portions were enormous! I've never seen an ice cream so large! The total was about $15 for four scoops, and a small upcharge for the waffle cone. This is great value! The flavors were so good we were already making plans to return by the time we left. A word about the layout: There are chair on the front lawn; the front porch and inside have tables and chairs. A single unisex bathroom serves everyone; in summer there can be a line. Most of the people there at that hour were young families; the strollers and prams parked near the stairs. Is there anything cuter than seeing a toddler enjoying an ice cream?

Unique flavors for reasonable prices. However, the flavors are constantly rotating and there isn't…read morea way (or an accessible way) to know what flavors they currently have. We made the trip out to try it for the first time and weren't really interested in any of the flavors. Secondly, they don't sell plain chocolate or vanilla or any soft serve, so if you don't like any of the unique flavors, there's nothing plain to choose instead. A nice place, but probably won't be coming back unless I happen to pass by since it's not worth making the trip and risking not liking the flavors.

The Pink Cow: Where my dessert dreams come true and my medium is actually a large…read more This charming little ice cream stand in Alden is what I imagine heaven looks like if heaven were shaped like an oversized Fotomat and served twist cones. The Pink Cow is my happy place. It's small, yes, but mighty--and filled with frozen joy and sugar-fueled chaos in the best way possible. There's plenty of outdoor seating (umbrellaed, because sunburns are rude), and ample parking for all your impulse sundae needs. For the efficient ice cream warriors among us, there's even a drive-thru. I've never used it, mostly because I live in fear of dripping soft serve into my cup holders and explaining that to my mechanic. Also? I'm a people-watcher. Give me a bench, a waffle cone, and a toddler in pajamas and cowboy boots blowing bubbles, and I'll be emotionally wrecked thinking about my grandkid on another continent. Worth every tear. Also, let's talk about my ordering process: I get a large. Then I go home and casually tell my husband it was a medium. Don't judge me, Janice, we all have our coping mechanisms and mine is portion-size denial. When my husband joins me? It's date night, baby. First, The Pink Cow. Then a romantic stroll (read: shuffle) through the Tractor Supply at the back of the parking lot, where we look at baby chicks and he buys me a sundress (See my Tractor Supply review for those details). You can keep your rooftop martinis and overpriced tapas--I'm living my best small town romance novel life, and it includes fudge swirl and farm supply fashion. So yeah, get the ice cream. Live your life. Stretch the truth about the size if you must. The Pink Cow is worth it.

They graciously swapped chocolate soft serve for vanilla, added the peanut butter sauce core, dunked it in chocolate dip then coated the outside in crushed peanut butter cups. What's not to like? Perhaps I misunderstood and what they were talking about was the wall with the incredible number and variety of sundaes available. We shared a "small" bowl of mint ting-a-ling ice cream, not a sundae. When I ordered, I was asked "what size?". I asked what size servings the people at the corner table were eating. I was told "small". Even though I had been told the servings were very large, I was not prepared for the very large "small". It was clearly large enough to share, so ordered a small with two spoons. It was only $5.50! The attached photo was taken after we started eating our ice cream. We'd eaten about 1/3 of it.

Living out west we are always seeing froyo everywhere so i was excited to have my favorite soft serve and then Perry's ice cream. This place has it all. So many choices, it was a little overwhelming! I stuck to my twist with rainbow sprinkles. The sizes are big! A small was huge! But I guess it matched the prices. Everyone loved their ice cream choices, even the hubby who opted for a shake. Plenty of seating, mainly outdoors. I'll be back for sure next time we visit WNY!
