    The view is beautiful

This is a beautiful location with cozy wooden cottages right on the ocean. The view is lovely. Very comfortable with a friendly, helpful, and skilled staff. Don't miss the restaurant! The food is outstanding and so is the service. If they have halibut be sure to try it --delicious! We will be back for certain.

    Lobster dinner

We eat here two nights in a row it was so good. The staff are incredibly welcoming and the chef is remarkable. On the first night we had the mussels to start and the halibut to follow. The server said we must have done more of the free dinner roles with the mussels to dip in the sauce and she was so right. The halibut was so expertly prepared with a delicate white sauce I'll be dreaming about it for weeks. The second night we had the lobster dinner and chowder also amazing! Plus being inexperienced lobster eater the server was kind and walked us through how and what parts to eat, her instructions were perfect we would of missed so many good parts without her help. We also had the pleasure of staying on site at those cabins. Great place to stay along the trail! Ask the staff for tips on where to hike in the area. If you have time you need to check out white point.

Canada's signature 150th birthday cake, warm apple spice cake with maple ice cream

This is a very nice restaurant in a lovely, peaceful location overlooking the ocean near the northern tip of Nova Scotia. The food was delicious. We had the mussels and scallops as starters, shared the crab cakes for an entree, and had the warm apple cake with maple ice cream for dessert. Yum! The service was friendly and all the food was great. Considering what a nice, white tablecloth type restaurant this is, they are very welcoming of kids. When our toddler mentioned he wanted an apple, our server came back with a peeled and sliced apple (not on the menu) and at no charge. We stayed at the bed and breakfast on this property, so we had breakfast here as well. The breakfast was also lovely. They offered a continental buffet with an assortment of fresh fruit, yummy muffins, scones, cereals, bread, yogurt, and quiche.

We chose this restaurant based on the location of our hotel, keep in mind there aren't many options around. I think this was also the reason this restaurant was busy! The grilled scallop burger was the best dish of the night! The seafood platter was mediocre, nothing special. It had calamari, fries, shrimp, oysters, and haddock... maybe more? I can't recall. The clam chowder was not it. It wasn't creamy like the clam chowder I'm used to and was the worst dish of the night. The biscuit was okay, not buttery enough in my opinion. The lobster roll was mediocre. It was my first time trying lobster rolls and my expectations were way higher as many people love them! I'm not sure if it's because there wasn't enough sauce or the sauce just wasn't that tasty. We also subbed the fries for a caesar salad and were charged the price of an extra caesar salad ($9) rather than just an added substitute price. The milkshakes were great! The vanilla milkshake tasted like french vanilla ice cream and the strawberry milkshake was also really good. A bit small for the price. Overall, wouldn't visit again. The view is great though!

Great find! Beautiful views and good food at good prices. Nice service and family-owned an't be…read morebeat.
