The owner answered and fit me in same day. I really appreciated that she could accommodate me after 5:30, so I rushed from Norfolk to arrive as early as possible. She was able to work out most of the stubborn knots in my neck and shoulders, but suggested I visit at least twice a month. I was absolutely for it and receptive to her tips about loosening tightness when sitting at a computer all day. She gave me some samples of biofreeze and a bottle of water and I committed to calling for another appointment in a couple weeks. Now I know I should've made the appointment while I was there because I have since called about four times to no avail. It's a small business -- I get it. But at least have voicemail options. You can't even make appointments online either! In 2020, this is a crazy way to operate.

Not a big deal, but may be an issue for some people. The shop itself is kind of small and intimate and there's nothing fancy about it. Massages don't need fancy! My massage therapist is amazing. Really really love her. She's a tiny lady but has amazing strength! I feel like a total jerk I can't remember her name. My husbands therapist was also extremely good, or at least I think so from the snoring I was hearing! We both left very relaxed and with every intention of visiting again. Before she honored the gift card, she had my husband call me to provide proof of what I paid. She eventually agreed to honor the gift card. There's a difference between a massage and just rubbing gently. I did express this before the appointment that I prefer strong firm pressure. It started out well for like a good 10 minutes but then he just reverted to his usual soft massaging. By now I just wanted to finish 1 hour that paid for and leave. These money grabbing places don't care about giving good service. They just want to quickly waste your time, so they can get you out for the next person. Never again going to any of these locations.

The atmosphere was peaceful, with dim lighting and soft music. They have multiple beds separated by a curtain which is perfect for solo, group or couple outings. I opted for the 60-minute reflexology session ($45), which included a 15-minute neck and shoulder massage, followed by a 45-minute foot massage.  My appointment started with a basic foot soak. During the foot soak I received the neck and shoulder massage, which felt absolutely delightful.  After the foot soak, I moved to the chair that fully reclines into a bed. Once on the chair they continue with the shoulder and arm massage before moving to my feet. The foot massage was like Heaven or what I imagine heaven to be like. The pressure was perfect throughout the entire session. I left feeling relaxed and completely rejuvenated--it felt like having a new pair of legs. It was not a deep tissue whatsoever. Additionally, she barely focused on my shoulders (what I came for), maybe 5 minutes total. At checkout, they didn't mention a card fee ahead of time, then after paying and not leaving a large tip, they bring out a notepad that says to leave at least 20% tip. I declined and left. Overall, it felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. I wouldn't return. Update: I received a call requesting to take down the review for a refund. They also offered a free massage if I remove the review, I declined. Zero remorse or accountability from the spa. Only worried about the review.

I was specifically intrigued by their beer baths, and after researching the benefits, I decided to try one. I initially attempted to book online, but while the site mentioned a 50% deposit, it required 100% payment upfront, so I called to finalize the reservation. I used a 20% discount since it was my first-time booking. I decided to schedule the Brewing Calm Immersion, my session included 20 minutes in the sauna, a 60-minute massage, and a 60-minute soak. When I arrived, the owner greeted me and showed me my bath soak options: Hops Brew, Barley Blend, or Chai soak. I decided to try the hops brew which was a blend of hops, brewers yeast, malt, oats and Epsom salt. I also chose Eucalyptus, my favorite aromatherapy, for the diffuser used during my bath. After that I selected my drink from a selection of beer, wine and non-alcoholic options, which was also served during my bath. After making all my selections, I was escorted to a private room where, I changed into the robe and slippers they provided. They also provide access to Lockers with keys for you to secure your valuables.   My Experience  Sauna- Before entering they gave me a cup of ice water. I love the fact that I had the ability to adjust the temperature and lighting. However I wished there was some music in the background because sitting in silence for 20 minutes felt very long. Massage- I found the massage relaxing; however, the Pressure was hit or miss and I also feel like certain areas were neglected like my feet and head. Beer bath/soak - My favorite part of the day.  They pre-steeped the brew so the ingredients were already activated. I was originally concerned that the bath water wasn't going to be warm enough but I had 100% control of the temperature. When you enter the room they already have music playing and I had the ability to change the genre if I wanted. They also provide you with 2 large ice cube for you to massage your face and cool you down if you get too hot. After they get you all set up they dim the lights which was the final step in setting the relaxing mood. The Soaking tub was huge and I was just sinking into it. Loved, loved, loved it! Overall I truly enjoyed my time spent & experience at Pint and Peace. I would absolutely recommend stopping in for a day of pampering and I am looking forward to returning for another soak. This was a great kick off to my birthday month of self-care.
