So many places in this price point try to break your back with their elbows, but Lucy mostly used her hands. I requested Yan based on the recommendation of my coworker and she was great! She is very soft spoken and the place was very quiet. She applied just the right amount of pressure. Again I was surprised because she is so petite but really knew the pressure points. This is my go to whenever I need a massage. The pricing is reasonable. The staff take their time and don't over book. Everyone is friendly from when you check in to when you check out. They have staff preference so you just need to let them know what you feel comfortable with you. I usually request for a female and there has never been a problem. The environment is very soothing. I am a sucker for a good foot message therefore I would try different massage parlor to find one that provides the best of the best. I figured that I'll try this place out based on the recent 4-5 star reviews. I called to ask if there was a wait, the staff said no and that I can come in right now. I was greeted upon entering and I decided to chose the foot + body massage 60 min combo for $35. I told her that I only wanted 60 mins calves and foot massage. She then walked me to the open station where other customers were getting their massage as well. The woman that did my massage was great. She hit the pressure points I wanted on my feet and slightly massaged my calves at the pressure level I desire without me correcting her. The other masseuse were talking loud for a setting that's supposed to be calming and relaxing. That was extremely distracting because I wasn't trying to hear loud conversations and banging noises while my eyes are closed and my state of mind was in a chill mode. Now this is where the 2 star rating comes along. I know masseuse/masseur earn most of their income through tips. Mind you, I ALWAYS tip for my services without asking. The moment my massage was completed, I got up to put my shoes on and straighten up my clothes. My masseuse handed me a cup of water, which I declined nicely and then she forcefully gave me a mini black folder (where you tip). She gave me the look like, you better tip me or else, type of appearance. Although I was already planning to give her the tip once I gather myself together and wanted to meet her at the front where I can see and dig into my purse for cash, I had to reach into my purse where I could barely see due to the dim lights and hand over her the tips. I didn't even take a step after giving her the tips and she proceeded to checked inside the black folder to see the amount I tipped her. Like come on, really? Don't be rude. I didn't even get a "thank you" for the tip. The funny thing is, two masseuses were actually gossiping about the customers they were massaging and I understand Mandarin as I am half Chinese. I may not look Chinese and me speaking Mandarin and Cantonese usually throws people off, but when I said "thank you" in Mandarin to my masseuse.. let's just say she was shocked. read more

After a stressful and busy month, I decided to treat myself to a massage. My friend wanted to come to, so I called them on the day of and was able to make an appointment within the hour. We arrived around 11:30am and were greeted by the worker at the door. She asked us what service we wanted (even though I told her on the phone) and had us pay right then and there. I thought that was a bit strange. We both went with the 60 min Foot & Body Massage ($30). There was a Yelp check-in offer which would make it $23. However, she said this offer was outdated. Since the price was just raised from $25 to $30, she would only be able to give me a $2 discount. But to be honest, I can't imagine it being difficult to update a check-in offer via Yelp. Anyway, the total ended up being $28. She asked if I wanted to add tip but I hadn't even received the service yet. So how exactly am I supposed to know how much to tip? Luckily, my friend had cash with her so we didn't need to blindly give a tip. My masseuse was Tom and honestly, he did a great job! Before heading in, I told the worker out front that I wanted a Level 2 Intensity which is Medium Level. However, based on how tense and tight I was, he was able to find and focus on this areas a lot more than other areas, which I appreciated. I go to this location at least once every month or so. Charles is the ABSOLUTE BEST. Over the years he has learned all my pressure points and I leave every single time feeling 1000% better then when I arrived. This location is very clean and quiet. I prefer the private room however they also have a common area that's a little cheaper. Either way Charles always gets the job done. When I can't make it to Massage Heights, this location will do. Definitely call ahead if you can to request certain therapists or at least male/female or strength preferences. I stick to the basic Foot and Body Massage for $25 ($23 with Yelp check-in) which is typically 60 minutes. Have been to reflexology places like this (other branches on Stockton Blvd, Elk Grove Blvd) and similar so not fazed by the open room setup, chairs/tables in a row. Relaxing music playing, dim lights. This is a fully clothed session, with towels, lotion/oils, foot soak, front and back. I frequented this spot after a car accident/soft tissue injury a few years ago and hadn't written a review! Most recent visit I got Charles. He was able to quickly determine my trouble spots, mostly tension in the neck and shoulders, which gets more focus during the last segment after the usual order of things. When I run, sometimes it's more of the legs and lower back that need the most work. They start with a face-up head/face massage, arms/hands, feet/legs, then face-down for the rest of the time. I recommend wearing something sleeveless or loose to allow access to the shoulders, and shorts or bottoms you can roll up to accommodate for the foot soak bucket. Hot tea or cold water at the end, cash tips can be given directly or at the front counter. The only bad thing I can think of at this location is the proximity to the railroad tracks so you do get the trains passing by. Sometimes the therapists are hit or miss but if you find a good one, book ahead. read more

Came here for a couple's massage. I got a male masseuse who was massaging while he was clearly sick. by the time he came in to the room my face was already in the bed so I assume he had a mask on. He continued to massage me, periodically stopping to step out of the room and sneeze or hock up Snot he was also coughing while he was rubbing my back and sniffling his nose the entire time. About 45 minutes into the massage I turned around for him to do the front part of my body and this man was not wearing mask. I was disgusted. Another thing I do not like about these reflexology locations is they force a tip. they ask if you want to take money out for tip before service and tell you what they are going to charge your card making it awkward to not say yes and once you're done with the service they rush to put the tip into their clipboard and the masseuses follow you out to the front lobby to make sure you put place to Tip. they feel very obligated for tip. read more

False advertisement! We told her to call her manager and while the receptionist was on the phone she started to get loud and laugh (in her language). Hung up and said the manager said NO, can't honor it! Wow! false advertisement! Horrible service! Manager didn't seem to care or wanted our money! We've been going to all the Foot & Body Reflexology's #1 and #3 (same owners)in Elk Grove since they opened many, many years ago since their prices were $19.99 then $25.00! Now that they raised their prices to $30.00, it takes away from the massage therapists tip and thats honestly sad! I always leave a good tip, never skimp the worker. I have found sitting in the front is easier to hear the phone, conversations and the phone ring. The back is too close to the break room and the light that leads to the hall and the gulping water dispenser. The middle on the far wall is just right. And at 7pm there's very few people. That means less noise overall. At 8 it's almost a full house. Use yelp check in for a discount! $22 with check in discount, thats a few dollars off. I requested for a male to do my massage because they are not soft at all. I purchased the $20 foot and body massage which is pretty affordable! During my session, the place was very quiet and relaxing. The chairs were a little bigger than most. I had a great massage from my massage therapist (I think his name was peter or sam?) My husband and I went in for couples massage and decided to check this place out since it was close to home. The receptionist was sweet on the phone and said we can just walk in. Got there to be greeted by that receptionist but then I was turned off that she asked for a tip upfront (WTF)... we hadn't even gotten our massages yet. I got Lily and she did a good job but only focused on my upper body, however for an hour massage it would've been nice to gotten some work on my legs and feet (like other places). My husband got Tom. My husband said he was ok. He massaged more around the ribs than the muscles in his back - that explains why my husband was laughing during his massage. The icing on the cake was when we gave them a tip... we gave them a 20% tip and Tom had the audacity to complain about it and ask for more! This was my second experience with this kind of massage place. I used the Yelp check-in deal with no issues. I did upgrade to a 30/30 massage (30 minutes feet/30minutes back), and I'm glad I did. The music was relaxing. The bed could have been a little softer, but was ok. Lily worked on me and was very pleasant. I would recommend you choose the lowest pressure you desire (1-4) and ask to increase it if it's not enough. I asked for a 2, but it hurt at times. All in all, I'd go back. read more
