Came here for a deep tissue massage and it was really great. This was my first massage so I was sure what to expect but the ladies were very nice and welcoming and provided an excellent service. We called the day of to make an appointment for a couple massage. You will be in the same room and you're only required to take off your top. They do give you the exact massage time of what you're paying for. I felt very comfortable and safe throughout the entire experience. I was feeling quite tired and sore after. They mostly focused on my middle to upper back but they do massage your legs and arms as well. I also received a dry scalp massage and experienced some swelling after but was told it's all normal after a deep tissue massage. They also offer to scrub your back for an extra $10 but I decided not to try it, will definitely keep it in mind for next time though. We also got free mini water bottles and some candy once the service was done. Only giving this a 4 star as one lady had to keep leaving the room to answer the phone. It was a bit disruptive to keep stopping the massage abruptly. But overall experience was really nice and I enjoyed most of it. Would definitely come back again. read more

I was looking for a massage place I could come to regularly to get some seriously needed work done with my muscles, The reviews on the yelp page was promising so I called to book and was scheduled for a 60 minute Swedish Massage. Here is my experience: -PRICE- The price is decent, my hour long massage was 60 dollars. Add-ons such as aroma therapy or body scrub is 10 extra. Decent price for service. -HYGIENE- Place was clean, nothing unpleasant. -SERVICE- This is where my review gets a bit critical. I wanted a place I can come to consistently that would provide me relief. After this first visit, i do not think i will return, The host/masseuse was a sweet lady however, my "massage" was really just her rubbing copious amounts of oil all over my body. There was hardly any pressure, making the experience feel like a grease down rathe than a proper massage. She was gentle but perhaps to a fault. Furthermore, i noticed that she was not giving each side of my body the same amount of time. Example - she would really rub the oil into my right arm, but then only work on the left arm for a short amount of time, or she rubbed my left foot really well and did "range -of motion" exercises with my right foot. For clarification, yes i did communicate my preferences. OK... My husband and I left Sky River casino in search of a massage place, where we could get a couples massage, and Solace was the spa that was open the latest. The people there are very friendly, prices are right, and the place is very clean. I had cosmetic surgery that prevents me from laying on my back, and my husband added the hot stones to the massage. Basically, I spent the whole time on my stomach while the masseuse jiggled my butt for the last 30 minutes of the massage. It's almost like she was mesmerized! I mean... Having my butt jiggled isn't the worst thing I could've had done and the rest of the massage was great. I suppose I could chalk it up to being lymphatic drainage, cause I had to pee so bad when we were done! My first time in to Solace, although I've had previous experiences ranging from Foot & Body Reflexology to Massage Heights. I got Coco and mom got Lily as her massage therapist. 60-minute session with hot stones included in a private room [couples massage] around 2pm on a Thursday; called ahead the day-of (a little bit of a language barrier). I admit I haven't had a massage since I last treated myself in June 2023, so it was time! Two massage beds (I think it had heating), dim lighting and quiet spa music. I personally prefer hard/firm pressure (male therapists if possible) and Coco exceeded my expectations. Start out face-down, then turn over midway through. My problem areas were very quickly identified (neck, shoulders, forearms, legs) and she went to work on those tight knots. It was thorough from head-to-toe, with massage oil, hot stones, and hot towels. Of course, 60 minutes won't completely resolve everything, but my muscles did benefit and felt looser. Tender for sure, but worth the pain to gain relief. When finished, you can pay/tip and get a complimentary bottled water and a guava candy. Both were very friendly/nice and the establishment was clean. Great place to get a massage! I showed up without an appointment and was so happy they accommodated me, I only waited about 15 minutes which isn't bad with no appointment. Summer was wonderful! She provided the perfect amount of pressure and relaxation techniques to help with my sore muscles and tired body. The atmosphere is very relaxing with soft meditation music and dimmed lights. I wanted to try a new place out, but the experience was a bit underwhelming. I went with their 70 min. Massage for $50. The lady on the phone was nice and got me in quickly. When I arrived, I paid before my service. I found this to be weird because I've never been charged before being helped. Not to mention, I was paying with a card so I wasn't sure what I would due regarding the tip situation. It was all a off putting. I asked to pay after and was told I had to pay now...I almost walked out but really wanted a massage. The massage itself was okay. With fibromyalgia, an old S.I. injury and unresolved whiplash, I see Lily at Solace in Elk Grove for therapy as a necessity, not as a luxury. I have been to world class, fancy spas at 3x the price but never had the level of relief from chronic pain that I've had every time I walk out of Solace. The place itself is nice enough...clean and simple, and no frou-frou but more cozy than chic. The therapists are very skilled and worth it at any price, but, in this economic pinch, when frugality rules, I find the rates exceptionally affordable. Everyone is very sweet and accomodating; they're practically always open (10a-10p). I have a new membership at another putfit but I'm only in town a couple days per week at random, and when i am, i can't get an appt for days, and usually don't. But Solace has always gotten me in immediately, except once when i happily eaited an hour. Solace has fantastic package pricing, so im dumping the "membership"at the itger place where ive o ly been seen once. I don't really want you to go to Solace because I want them all to myself, on demand, but do ignore me and go. Even if you don't suffer from chronic pain like I do, get yourself into Solace and do it for the luxury. And get a gift card to give to a friend! read more

Jessica was amazing from the start to end. She was friendly, greeted me and brought me straight to the room. I called in around 2:30pm on a Wednesday and asked about their $50 for 70 minutes deal. A lady over the phone said they could squeeze me in but could I please get there at 2:50pm since they had another appointment at 4pm. I said I'd probably get there at 3pm but would try. They told me it was actually 40 minutes body massage, 30 minutes foot massage, but when I got there that wasn't the case. Upon entering, the lady at the front desk had me pay up front (they prefer cash), then they put me in a room. I felt they were rushing me abut since they knocked in several times while I was undressing. During the massage experience, the masseuse-Lulu-made some small talk with me and I let her know my troubled areas. She was intentional about targeting those areas for me in addition to the full body massage and letting me what pressure points I could press when I'm getting headaches. She even included hot stones in my experience. She left kind of abruptly at the end (she just said I'm finished then walked out). I was confused and laid there for a solid 5 minutes before I realized that I could dress and leave. I also realized that they really only gave me 60-65 minutes, not 70; it felt thorough for what it was so not too put off by it. Since this was something my doctor said I should do and I heard that you could submit receipts to your employer for FSA, I tried to ask for a receipt when I left a tip but they didn't have any; they just told me to write the amount myself and I could stamp it. Overall, these ladies mean well, the massage techniques seem good, but professionalism could use work. I think I might try other places in EG before coming back here again. read more

I've been neglecting my need for a massage for a few weeks now. Out here on a pleasure trip and of course I bust out the trusty Yelp app to find one and up comes Solace Body Therapy. A lot of the reviews rave about Coco, so when I called to make an appointment I asked for her. They are currently still offering the $50 special for 70 minutes so that's what I got. I walked in 1 hour later and Coco greeted me and immediately took me to the treatment room. My appointment was at 1130am, but I arrived around 1120. She left me to undress and I got on the table face down. She returned promptly and wasted no time. I told her where my trouble spots were and she started kneading away. The process started out with her pressing down on my body, on top of the thin flat sheet that was draped over me. After she got my blood flowing, she folded the sheet halfway down and did the whole oil rubdown show complete with different techniques: rubbing, stroking, pressure with her forearms and elbows, even her knuckles! She really did get into my knots and once she found them, she was relentless in her pursuit to make them disappear! The place is super clean and offers a separate room/common area for foot reflexology. The reason for the 4 stars: Coco left the room 3 times...the first time to tend to a customer who came in, so she walked him to his treatment room and came right back. There was no receptionist at the front, so I guess she was doing double duty. The next 2 times she left to grab the hot towels which elevated my experience. They felt soooo good!! However, be warned the towels are not the fufu fluffy ones you're used to at high end resort style spas, they're kind of rough so if you have sensitive skin, I'd opt out. Coco was great, but there were times she was a little rough, especially by my neck and during the scalp massage. Normally I let them know to go easier, but I let her go at it because I wanted the knots to go awayyyyy lol. Also note, if you go commando, your cheeks WILL get rubbed. Not the ones on your face, either. Be prepared for it. Whenever I get a massage, I don't care so much about the environment, but the actual massage. The walls here are thin, so you may hear voices from the next room, even with the soft music playing in your room. This is a quick get in and get out massage place so yes, you get what you pay for. I want to say they've opened recently under new management so they're probably still working things out. I'd come back again when I'm in the area, but I'll also explore other options too. The bonus here is...it's located in the Sheldon Crossing strip mall so it's literally right across the Dutch Bros.!! Lol Ample parking but the double drive thru for DB crowds it sometimes. Warning please read if you don't want to be bald... First and foremost, if they offer you the head massage, unless you are already bald, please skip it. My sister and I both got a foot massage but they included a head massage in which they scratch and pull on the scalp with heavy force, leaving us with major hair loss. I know because I went to the bathroom afterwards and ruffled my hair a bit and was shocked at how much hair fell off my head and into the sink... In terms of the massage, Coco did a decent job with the foot massage because she has strong hands and the pressure was good. However for my sister, Lily gave her the massage and it was very weak, with poor technique, and a lot of finger nail in the skin. Backstory: I was experiencing some neck pain and was hoping I could use a massage to help release any tension/ stiffness I had. I called in the AM to book a deep tissue massage and Solace was able to book me a 60 min deep tissue massage for a 6pm appointment. I had high hopes for this location based on other reviews and also really wanted to like this place as I am only 9 mins away. As I walked in, I was helped by this lady which took me straight to one of their rooms. Once settled, the lady came back inside and started working on me. The only thing she asked me is if I wanted to do 90 mins instead and if I wanted her to walk on me. I agreed on the 90 mins but not the walking part. Another thing, I've had many massages before and thought how odd it was for her not to ask me any questions related to my liking when it comes to massages and if I was experiencing any pain. Especially because I was experiencing some neck stiffness and was really hoping she could focus on that area. She only found out afterwards when she put pressure on that area. Long story short, after 20 minutes I left. These are the things that stood out: - as she was working on my back, I could feel her squatting over me - when working on my legs, she also jumped on the table - when massaging my head, she was scratching it more than massaging it - the massage: unfortunately, really disappointing. I called to book a couples massage for 2pm and they immediately took us in. It wasn't busy at all. The two Asian ladies greeted us at the front door. They were really nice but didn't speak any English. It was difficult to get any answers so they had to phone a friend from a different location. Couples massage is $120 for 1hr. It includes medium deep tissue and she said they were going to throw in hot stones for free. If you are going to use your card to pay. They charge you 2% fee. They took us to a room and left for a few minutes for us to undress. The rooms were nothing special. Just a small plain room with two massage beds and very low spa music. So don't have high expectations for aesthetics. The ladies were tiny but mighty. In the beginning they ask you if you want medium or hard pressure. I felt my lady's whole entire body on my back at one point. Just rocking her body back and forth. I felt her hands, her elbows, and her knees. She was digging into the knots on my shoulder blades. I feel a bit looser! I just wish she spent more time on my feet since that was my main focus, but I can't complain. She got my back pretty good. I was paired up with Coco and she is amazzzing! I literally walked in and asked for the full hour to be focused on my neck and shoulders. It's hard to come across someone who can provide the consistent pressure I want, but Coco sure delivered and pushed out ALL my knots! She is naturally strong and it was honestly a bit painful (that's how bad my knots were) but I braced myself through it and felt so rejuvenated after! The massage was so good that I ended up buying the deep tissue package on my way out! $300 for five 1-hour deep tissue massages. Woke up with a lot of pain in my lower right back so I called for a same day appointment, which they were able to accommodate. I opted for a 60 minute Swedish massage and a pain relieving balm (which was a $10 add on). The masseuse went above and beyond based on my experiences at other massage places. She walked on my my back at one point and used hot stones to rub my back included in my 60 minute session. The pain relieving balm really helped my back. She also stretched my legs in different directions which also really helped. As we were nearing the end, she offered additional time to complete a longer foot massage, which I believe would have been extra, which I declined. But it was nice to know that was an option and I wouldn't be rushed out the door. She still gave me a quick foot and leg rub with the time we had remaining anyway. Went in and got the $60 for 60 minutes regular massage for my boyfriend and the $50 special for 70 minutes for myself. This was because he wanted to focus more on his back and I wanted more time for a foot massage. They gave him another 10 minutes so both of our massages would be completed at the same time. The place was nice and clean. We got a private room and the massage itself was amazing. The only thing I didn't like was the head hole being a little uncomfortable, so I had to readjust my face every now and then. Other than that the service was great and the staff was friendly. I came to this place for a reflexology foot massage. They were able to get me in right away, which was nice. And the staff is very friendly. However, the price list has it at $45 for 60 minutes. My massage was only 50 minutes. The massage itself was decent. But in the beginning when you put your feet in the hot water, they have you sitting in a separate chair which isn't the most relaxing. This review is truly long overdue. This is the place I head to whenever I need to relax or get some relief on my aching muscles. I injured my shoulders muscles from doing yard work. I wasn't able to raise my arms much or remove tshirts. Fortunately after a few visits, I recovered and am able to resume doing my normal chores.
