After reading many of the positive reviews, I stopped by the Frederick Mattress Connection store. Karen promptly greeted me and I told her that I needed to replace my damaged box spring (foundation). She showed me the quality item that she generally recommends for inner spring mattresses and worked within my budget to get me a satisfactory price which included delivery and takeaway of my old box spring. Karen was polite, low pressure, and very knowledgeable. We spent a few minutes also discussing mattresses and it was obvious that she knew her product lines. I Highly recommend the business. 2/28/25 Update to my previous review. Our mattress and box spring were delivered today. The delivery came a few minutes early which we appreciated. The two gentlemen making the delivery were responsive to our questions and very good at what they do! They removed the old mattress and box spring to recycle. We went in for a guest room mattress , having gotten our main bedroom mattress a few years ago there. We got a great mattress then with a great price and came back to check again. Joe remembered us from a few years ago and directed us to the appropriate set of mattresses for a guest room. There was a great range of options and we settled on a mid range one. Never really noticed this place before. It seems tucked away on the opposite side of Lowe's on BUCKEYSTOWN pike. Well it is packed full of Mattress knowledge because Joe works there. I walked in with my dog in tow (with permission). I dumped all my issues on Joe and helped me find the best mattress and adjustable bed. He was so patient and even held the dogs leash. My daughter and I visited Mattress Connection today in Frederick. Our salesman was Joe, super personable and just a nice guy to work with. I dreaded going mattress shopping and definitely had my guard up walking in. My plan was to Just look and get an idea for pricing and then visit other places. Joe was very informative and knew how to direct us to the right kind of mattresses to try out. He was a strait shooter and did not try to upsell us on anything. Without haggling he gave us the best possible price. After researching my purchase, there was not a sale in miles to even come close to the great deal we got for a top of the line mattress. I highly recommend going here before going any where else. The business is small and they depend on word of mouth for advertising. Joe helped me - above and beyond! We bought a hybrid bed in September. I had never slept on a hybrid bed, so I called him a few weeks after it was delivered and told him I wasn't happy and my back was hurting. He told me to wait a little bit and give it time just to be sure. I was surprised - I thought we would have to do a return in less than 30 days. I waited and tried convincing myself I liked it. My husband complained too. I came in 5 months later telling him I just couldn't get comfortable. Joe made some phone calls and got me another bed much more soft and to my liking at a substantially lower cost than the original price. The 5 stars took me to this store. I met Joe. He was wonderful! Discounts were GREAT! He helped me in every way possible to select the right mattresses for 3 bedrooms. One in particular was nearly impossible to replace, but HAD TO HE REPLACED it was in awful condition, it was for my daughter with Autism who becomes so attached to things it's hard to let go. Joe did everything in his power to make it work for her, she wouldn't sleep on it at all, he allowed us to do an exchange twice hoping for a solution, and then after that didn't work, he sent us yet another mattress,in hopes it would work.I've never had such exceptional customer service in my life. We were pleased from the beginning to the end of our transaction. We were greeted by Joe and he let us try different mattresses. It was a good thing we came into the Mattress Connection, because we've been into several stores looking for twin mattresses for our children and we were getting exhausted. Joe was very helpful, knowledgeable and wasn't pushy like the other salespersons. He listened to us and was able to find for us exactly what we needed. We actually ended up getting the mattresses, the kids' beds and our new king mattress and box springs as well. We're so happy to find everything that we needed in one place and stay in our budget. I will never buy another mattress from them again, I bought a mattress from them in 2016, I've only had it now for 3 years, the one I bought they guaranteed it would not get that hump in the middle. Now only 3 years and it has a Hugh hump in the middle and is hard as a rock. I called the warranty that they always claim they offer for 10 years, well that's a lie. They made every excuse not to cover my mattress and then told me to go back to the store so they can sale me another one. And now will not answer my e-mails or call me back. Horrible customer service with the warranty, they do not hold up to their word. I only gave one star because you have to. read more
