    Shrimp scampi
    Ashley R.

I came here on a saturday night and the ambiance and decor are very pretty. There is a DJ as well which makes for a fun night out. The service was good and I had an overall good experience. I enjoyed the drinks, there was a lemon drop special, I had a strawberry one and it was delicious! My friends got the mayflower spritz and it wasn't bad but wasn't something they wanted to reorder. Food wise, like most DC places that have a nice aesthetic, didn't necessarily hit the mark for me personally. The biggest downfall was that me and one of my friends both got shrimp scampi and the portion was small and the noodles were HARD. However, we had crab cake appetizers which were really good and another friend has the steak frites and liked it as well. This place also turns into a nightclub at night and it's really centrally located in Dupont. I think I would return for drinks/apps before hitting the bars/clubs nearby!

The Mayflower Club was so neon chic fabulous!! The decor, the lighting, and artwork is trendy with pops of royal colors...and the service was kind and accommodating. We initially had 2 tables for 4 ppl each table..because we could not secure an 8 person reservation, but I called (technically texted) ahead of time and asked if the 2 tables could be in proximity to one another. I was told the obligatory "we can not guarantee but we'll try our best", response. And the Mayflower sure did their absolute best and seated us at an 8 person table...thank you!! It also helped that the restaurant was not too busy when we arrived and we only stayed for an hour and some change. Also, Our servers and waitresses were kind and efficient, and kept our table clear, our orders correct, and our water glasses full. The 2 bathrooms (upstairs) were each clean and single stall...and overall the upstairs area is spacious and cute. We only ordered appetizers since we had dinner plans already, but everything was tasty! but they're not huge portion sizes, so just a heads up. Overall, we highly recommend Mayflower Club!! Ps..there's plenty of garage parking nearby.

Came here for my niece birthday. It's a beautiful restaurant/club. You see the decor literally a block away. The staff were respectful and helpful. Our dinner party was on the upper level. I arrived a little late as traffic getting here was a nightmare. The server was able to get my food order in just in time before the kitchen closed at 10:45pm. I ordered a Cherry blossom Margarita and the TROFIE AL PESTO 22. The cocktail was delicious... that deserves 5 stars. My pasta was ok. I wish it had sautéed spinach or tomatoes or something lol. It was the only non meat dish on the menu besides salad so it was only option. The restaurant transitions to a full nightclub around 12am so be prepared for that if you're dining with a large group. All in all I had a good time with my family, the restaurant just didn't meet the hype to me. The ambiance and cocktails did but not the food. And I'm a good lover. I would go again for a girls night out to party but not for dinner service.

I really enjoyed dinner at the Mediterranean inspired restaurant at the Mayflower Club. It's really a superb dining experience... And you are met with grandeurs decor and vibes from the entrance. The service was great throughout my meal. I appreciate recommendations from servers, especially when there seem to be so many great options on the menu. The cocktails were also really impressive. Both the Mayflower Spritz and ZEBBIE's Treasure could easily bring me back on another day.

Warning ...don't be late for this place because you'll lose your reservation. The Mayfair club has a 15 minute grace period, if you're late. In addition, me and my friends were forced to sit at the bar for my birthday dinner because we missed our reservation by 20 minutes because we couldn't find parking. We tried calling this place, but know one answers the phone . The number that's provided on the website will send you to a voicemail/ text messaging system.

Definitely understand this is a club type restaurant but the music was too loud. It's cute but just note that when you trying to have a conversation. The calamari was amazing. Nice crunchy and the sauce was good. The mocktail amazing i appreciated the waitress looking out. The shrimp scampi was good noddles could have been cooked a lil longer and it would have been nice if they took the time to take the tail off. The desert sampler was nothing to write home about either would give the food overall 6/10 only thing making it at least that is the calamari. I personally wouldn't return but it was a nice experience

You really just come here for the ambiance. The food was a hot or miss. Ambiance 4/5: The whole point of coming here! The vibes were gorgeous, but I've been to nicer spots in DC/DMV. The music was okay, I don't even remember it despite it being loud lol. It didn't feel like "lit" music if you know what I mean. Outside of picture pops and a quick video it wasn't wow factor. Zebbies next door is way more aesthetically pleasing, but it's not a restaurant. Drinks 5/5: Were really good!!! They were garnished beautifully and decent amount of alcohol and nice glassware. I would recommend the Cherry Blossom (which isn't on the menu , the ward 2, or the French Rivera. They make mocktails for all my non-alcoholics! They taste really gooood!!! Food 3/5: The food came out a bit sporadic and not all at once. Appetizers are really good, but you don't get a decent portion for the price. The sides you have to purchase, but some entrees come with sides. Lamb chops - This comes out with the chef and a smoker. Really coool for pics and videos! came out on the salty side, but was very tender. The sauce makes the chops salty. Suggestion, get the sauce on the side or ask for light sauce. White truffle sauce Pasta with lobster tail and chicken. This was the best entree on the table! Surprisingly really good!! Decent amount of truffle on it, but wasn't over powering. Peri peri chicken Was not tasty, I would not recommend it. The chicken was bland and the two sauces that came with it were only okay. Nandos has better sauce and chicken and is across the street the chicken came with fries, but it wasn't salted and tasted extremely bland. They were even crispy lol. Truffle fries side: Were good though! Decent amount of truffle on it. The fries come with three sauces. Chicken souvlaki appetizer: Had more flavor than the chicken entree. It was delicious and came with a yummy sauce!! Mezze dip: Came with pita, hummus, tzatziki, and another sauce. Really good, but small portion for the price. Calamari: Wasn't bad, but wasn't the best. I would go with the other two appetizer options mentioned. The calamari portion was fairly decent. Mashed potatoes 2/5: They were very very bland and dry. Wish it came with butter on the side or a gravy. Dessert 4/5: Mayflower bomb Pretty good and loved the experience that the chef provided. It's a chocolate ball they light on fire and melts. Only feeds two max. There's vanilla ice cream at the bottom and more chocolate inside. Service 4/5: She came by and checked often. There was food confusion. We had to ask for spoons for dessert, other than that she was a good waitress. She did give us an additional option of mashed potatoes for the mishap. FYI: Book a reservation, but your party can't be seated unless EVERYONE arrives You can sit at the bar or the reception area which is small The event/birthday prefix menu is a little different than their regular menu. I heard that's better food. My aunt celebrated a birthday in July and saw a rat in the chandelier lmfao just an FYI. She said it was a fatttt rat

We visited The Mayflower Club on an early weeknight and it hadn't quite transitioned into club hours so it wasn't crowded at all. Although it wasn't quite a club scene yet, they still had music playing to enjoy. We had a really good server and tried more than a few menu items - lamb, chicken, fries, mashed potatoes, and ice cream. For the most part, the food was good but I would have liked a bit more flavor. The overall interior looked nice.

Pros: -Great atmosphere -Extremely accommodating staff/ mgmt -Tasty Mediterranean dishes -Unbelievable cocktails -Breathtaking ambience -2 levels & a rooftop -Cons: This place can get packed! (Not sure if this is a con to most) You want to hang out with a swanky DC crowd? Add this establishment to your list. The food was tasty and must I add the staff was extremely accommodating! The manager was very patient after I explained the bday girl was running late and was on her way. I really wish I remember her name but shout out to the manager with the brunette bob. After dinner we decided to stay for the club. We decided to do a last minute bottle service. I can't leave out how diverse the crowd was, a great DJ & just a ball of fun! I highly recommend & I myself will definitely return. Please note: After 11pm the restaurant staff start the preparation to turn the restaurant into a club. Just a suggestion try to get there much earlier for dinner.

The mayflower club is a multi-level restaurant, bar and lounge located in DuPont Circle. I enjoyed my time here from the specialty cocktails, beautiful floral decor, and amazing presentation of the food. I highly suggest making a reservation, seating is limited due to the demand. Make sure you are on time because parking is a mess and the restaurant only gives you a 15 minute grace period. They will not seat you until your entire party arrives. There is a QR code on the table that opens to the menu, I was underwhelmed with the entree options. I started with the Cherry Blossom margarita, sweet and strong. Took me a while to take this one down. Followed with the canapé tower, you have to order at least 6 items. The phyllo crab cakes, lamb sliders, and caviar are a must. For my entree, I ordered the fire lamb shank. The presentation was beautiful but the lamb needed more seasoning or some sauce, especially for the price tag. I finished off the night with Mayflower flambé, a very rich and Flavorful dessert, and again amazing presentation. I recommend this spot if you want to go out for a sexy birthday dinner or date night. I loved the vibes of this restaurant, but next time I will stick with the drinks, appetizers, and desserts. Also, automatic gratuity is added to all checks.

I ventured into the city on an early Friday evening for a birthday dinner. The restaurant/club is located on Connecticut Ave (DuPont Circle), right across the street from Shake Shack. I was able to find street parking, but it probaly gets more crowded later in the evening. The restaurant is super cute and there is a huge, beautiful chandelier upstairs. Because I was there with a big group, we did a family style dinner with several different courses. This was cool because I was able to try several dishes. The stand out dishes were the Mediterranean dip trio (pita bread with delicious sauces), the lamb chops, and the grilled prawns. The cheese and meat board was also pretty tasty. The lamb chops came out in a dish with smoke so I have to give an A for presentation in addition to the taste. My only complaint is that that they took entirely too long between courses to serve the food. Dinner started at 6 and it was almost 10:30 p.m. when they brought out dessert. Servers were friendly and helpful. Drinks were strong! The food was not enough to make me return (outside of a specific event), but it's worth trying out!

Needless to say, there were more kids in here, with X's on their hand, than in Chuck E. Cheese. That must have had secruity issues in teh past because they wand everyone and then they also pat them down prior to them being allowed in. I would think that energy should be directed towards getting a ID machine that most bars have to detect fake IDs. The place has 4 levels of bars/dancing, 3 of which were open during my visit. The drinks are small and way over priced. And be aware that the tip is already included on your tab. The place is decorated with a bunch of neon lights and the music that they had playing was on point. The DJs were hot fire. The main level bar has televisions to watch. They had Thursday night football playing when I was there. I will warn you there are a lot of steps to get to the top level/patio. Be prepared to get your workout in. I fell sorry for an intoxicated person trying to make it down the stairs. The top level is enclosed with a partially covered roof. It is open air, so I am not sure it is open in cold or inclement weather. Each level has VIP areas that you can get with bottle service. I highly recommend getting on the VIP list prior to coming here. That gets you free admission and a watered down drink of your choice. Don't get me wrong this is a decent bar with lots of potential. all the young kids just was not my scene. The prices of the drinks could also be a little more reasonable as well. I would try this place again on a 21+ night.

The rooftop and open-air area is so nice and gives you the perfect place to hang out, catch a little air, and still feel part of the energy, which feels like a very strong social advantage. The drinks here are seriously so good. I always go for a crush, usually grapefruit, while my husband reliably orders the porn star martini, and both are excellent. The orange crush is also great, but the grapefruit is probably my favorite. The fact that they fresh squeeze the juice right at the bar is kind of crazy and honestly feels pretty unique in the District. As for the porn star martini, it is insanely good, and the alcoholic passion fruit foam takes it completely over the top in the best way. The bartenders are incredible and so kind, which always makes a place stand out more, and the music is always great. They also have frequent live DJs in house, which keeps the vibe fun and does a great job of highlighting local talent. Every time I have been, it has been a really great time from start to finish. There were two bartenders working at that time. The bartender in question was not the Asian woman, but rather a woman who appeared to be mixed with Black and White. Her behavior toward me and my husband was extremely unprofessional, inappropriate, and disrespectful. From the moment I approached the bar, she was unfriendly, dismissive, and gave me dirty looks. She then made a highly inappropriate comment toward my husband, stating that she was "out of strawberry Hennessy but sweet enough for him," and later propositioned him for sex in exchange for money. I ordered two drinks -- a Jolly Rancher and a Long Island. My drink had no alcohol in it, despite costing nearly $50 for both drinks. When my husband returned the drink to the bar and mentioned that it lacked alcohol, the bartender laughed and called me a "bitch." This experience left me deeply uncomfortable and disrespected, especially as a married woman.
