The letters and food pictures how far away will try to give you a little hint. The staff here I must say are very very friendly and accommodating. Three quarters towards the back you will find a buffet and salad bar. There aren't your usual salad friends and then on the buffet there was some betta fish, kind of chicken fried looking steaks, pot pie in a square pan, mashed potatoes and gravy, shrimp and a few other Comfort foods that you'll see in their picture. The taste of everything was okay I will leave it at that. The price of the buffet comes shy of $15 if you have tax without a drink. The interior is a definitely no frills type of establishment with the old wooden floors, Mel's Diner type tables and such. It's worth a try but do not expect high expectations.

French fries were good once salted. The mashed taters had an oddly firm texture. Flavor was fine, just seemed unnaturally firm. The outside of the building has seen better days, and the interior decor was a chaotic collection of clearance aisle decals and school sports jerseys. The service was friendly and helpful, but with the place being packed, our salads were forgotten until we asked. However, that's the only negative comment for service. Don't sleep on the pork chops! The chicken fried steak was good, but the best food on the table was the pork chop.

It was around 9:30 am and the place was somewhat busy and still had available seating including bar seats. The first thing I noticed was how dirty some things were, like the mini split system that heats and cools the place, absolutely filthy! As I watched the swinging door leading to the back food prep area swing open it was just as filthy behind the scenes. The dining area was pretty clean as far as the eye could see, however, under a UV black light flashlight with a 365nm the flat surfaces might show different. Anyway, I must say our breakfast choices were very good, well prepared and served hot and the staff were all very friendly. It reminds me of the diners back in the 50's even tho I wasn't around back then. Would I go back, hmm, probably would because at least I can see the uncleanliness here is all fully on display unlike other restaurants that you can see the back rooms.
