I am a California customer because I hunt deer in their area. Russel Sr. and Russel Jr. have always been very accommodating concerning my need for a quick turnaround. This place was recommended by a local and I am pleased with their packaging and clean facility. They are a family operation that employs a small staff. They have expanded their operation and the business is good because of a loyal following. I take my deer there every year because I know they will take care of me. Girls giggling behind counter was very annoying since it seemed they may have been making fun of a customer. No one knew for sure so it was like being waited on by immature 3rd graders. Very unprofessional! Train your help to be grown up when serving the public. Liked the protein sticks but sometimes they look moldy on the ends. Loved the bacon! This is a smalltown (5546 people) butcher. They have a smoker, that puts out some of the best smoked goodies I have ever had. Must try the jerky. I'm, hooked on their bacon, cherry wood smoked ham, Filets, Strip steaks, Ribeyes, country style ribs, ground chuck, chicken breasts, and the in house made Italian sausage! This is the only place I buy meat from in the area. They are local owned, family owned, friendly people. They will custom cut your steaks for you. And if you hunt, they will process your deer! read more

Best addition to the Milton community in a very long time. Meats are pure quality. Brats were some of the best our family has ever had. This year we also tried out the deer processing here. Fantastic! Processing was fast, and they were open early on Sunday morning after opening day. We got our cut very fast and we have enjoyed it. Service is family friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. The smell of smoked meat from outside is enough of a reason to go in! If I lived here, I'm sure this would be my go-to place for a steak - the meat all looked amazing. As it was, we just had a meat stick and it was delicious. I was eyeing up the bacon too but didn't get any, and now I feel a bit dumb as I bet it's good! read more

Everything is clean and the staff is very friendly. However, I avoided going in for a long time and would have gone in sooner had the outside looked a little more inviting. Laura S. apparently feels that a small town butcher shop should have access to grass-fed beef vendors. FFS girl you got some of the best steaks of your life and free beef jerky, but he doesn't carry grass-fed (which I would wager $100 you've never actually eaten) so you knock him from 5 stars? Stop yelping, for everyone's sake. Went there for the first time last Saturday. Best damn sirloin I've ever had, and I only gave it a brief salt rub while it was warming to room temp. Fat melted right into the meat on the grill or flowed right off. Ground chuck was on point as well; with most butchers getting more and more ligament happy every year I was pleased to see only a singular tubal in five pounds, and couldn't even taste a hint of it in the burgers (I usually can, easily) or bolognese sauce. read more

Min 15 lbs of venison for snack sticks. Plus the pork at market rate and 5 bucks a pound for everything= $152 for 24 lbs of snack sticks.

We just moved and were looking for a decent butcher to get some steaks for grilling. This guy is in a tiny little doo in Milton, but once you step inside, all the wonderful aromas of slices and smoked meats begins to assail your senses. We got some of the most tender, juicy and flavorful steaks that we have had in a long time. We also just had to buy a log of summer sausage and some of the beef jerky after the owner offered us a taste test. W will be back. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I prefer to buy organic or grass feed beef but this place was not even certain where his beef came from. read more

Small WI town meat market...excellent meats--best Italian beef we have ever had! Friendly staff and quality product!

I brought some venison trimmings here to be ground and made into sausages and burger. I was told I needed ten pounds minimum to make sausage and only had eight. Fine, burger it is. Then I was told 20 dollars was the minimum charge. Fine. The kid behind the counter asked if I wanted beef or pork fat mixed in, I chose beef. Then to both of our surprise the owner told us they couldn't use beef fat, they needed it for other things. Okay. I was told I could wait for it as it would only take five minutes. I chose to run a quick errand and come back, and on my way out of the parking lot I looked at their front door to make sure they took a credit card for payment. Sure enough, they do, it's displayed right on the front door. When I came back they were finishing up so I asked the owner how much they usually charge for grinding, he said 1.50 a pound. I get out my credit card to pay and he says cash only for venison. I tell him I don't have twenty in cash on me and as I'm about to leave to get it he says credit will be fine because he forgot to tell me. Bless his heart, a Christmas miracle. I guess the fact that I was paying twenty dollars for a five minute job that should only cost 12 dollars, combined with the spirit of the season won him over. If I ever do go back I'll be sure to bring plenty of cash to repay this great kindness (and help him cheat on his taxes). God bless us all, Tiny Tim!!! read more
