I met up with one of my childhood friends here. Such a lovely addition to Red Bank! In their outside patio area, she enjoyed a chai latte which she said was delicious and I greatly enjoyed a latte. We both had tasty apple scones too. They make all of their teas and baked goods in-house. The staff are so nice too. Once the heat went up, someone brought us iced waters. My boyfriend and myself wanted to try a new place for brunch; so we stumbled upon The Meeting House. However, I was disappointed with it not meeting my expectations. Very cute, spacious location, but it just didn't cut it for me. The barista was rude and not informative at all. She appeared to not like her job too much. We would ask her questions about the menu and she would answer them annoyed or with a little attitude that gave off the impression that we should already know this information. After looking at the menu for a few minutes, I decided that I wanted the house soup and the Fairy Godmother sandwich. They were out of the house soup, so I settled for the black bean pasta salad. It had NO SALT or FLAVORING to it at all!! I was so shocked at how bland it was; especially with it being a pasta salad. As for the Fairy Godmother Sandwich...It was...okay. I believe it would have tasted better if it was cooked like a panini, but instead the bread was toasted first and then the other ingredients were placed on it. Making it feel a little dry and not very flavorful. The sandwich was also over priced; especially knowing that I could easily make this sandwich at home. This could be a great place and maybe this one time it was just an off day; but I wasn't impressed with it unfortunately. read more

I am grateful for a local coffee shop to buy a cup of locally roasted coffee or a cup of tea and have informal meetings. They do have a small menu which is nice for those wanting a bite. The space is large and informal, service is nice. They received a 4-Star bc the hours still aren't conducive for weekday use after work. But atleast their open until 6 now and that's a plus. read more

Store itself: great location, really warm feeling inside with exposed brick and wood, great looking homemade coffee bar Coffee and tea: I've purchased the iced chai drink twice now and it is amazing and they serve them in mason jars, which the fiancé loves. Their tea selection is pretty vast as well. They will do their best to make your drink to order as close as humanly possible. Food: I haven't tried their breakfast meals yet, but the pastries here are great. Really liked the blueberry muffin and coffee cake I had last time I was here - not too dry and the sugar (crumbles and icing) on top wasn't too much. Tried the vegan pumpkin muffin and it was pretty good, but I'm more of a muffin man. Staff: Friendliest people you could meet even at 7:00 in the morning. They genuinely care about everyone who step through their doors and want to give back to the community. Truthfully, if a restaurant or coffee shop has a great staff I'll go there over the one across the street regardless of price or convenience. Price: 2 drinks and 2 pastries was about $12 so about what you'd expect to pay anywhere and probably cheaper than downtown. Other: the coffee shop is huge and quiet - great for a meeting! Underwhelming, slow and overpriced. My friend and I stopped by here for lunch at about 1:05 p.m. This restaurant is located in the small strip of businesses in downtown Red Bank which have been there since the 1930's. I ordered the Cowboy sandwich, with a side of pasta salad. They don't have soda machines. If you order a Coke, you get a bottle handed to you out of the cooler. I put my credit card in the machine. It would not let me hit "okay" for the total. Why? Well - according to the lady behind the counter - it is because I have to add a tip. Huh??!! I haven't tasted the food. I'm not being served anything. I'm ordering at a counter but I HAVE to put in a tip? I have never experienced this before. Part of me just wanted to hit cancel and pay cash but okay. Then it didn't just want to let me add 10% - the minimum was 15%. To add a manual tip in, I had to jump through some extra digital hoops. I am finally able to pay. We pick a table and sit and wait and wait and wait. After about 20 minutes the counter person tells us there is only enough pasta to give one of us pasta salad. Okay. I'm getting chips, I guess. After another 25 minutes we are served. My friend gets her hot dog and I get my tiny sandwich. As a plus, she only puts one set of silverware on the table. I ask, "Are we supposed to share?" Maybe it's a new dining trend, who knows? She meekly brought out another set but c'mon... For a bag of chips, a small sandwich and a bottle of Diet Coke, I paid - with obligatory tip, more than $12.00. I will not be back. There are too many choices in the Chattanooga area to be told I have to tip before I eat and then to have to wait 45 minutes for a sandwich. On the plus side, the restaurant is lovely. The space has been renovated in an airy and gracious way. You are eating in pleasant surroundings but you will leave poorer and still hungry. At least I did. read more

I was really excited to try this place out, however when we first entered the establishment, the worker at the counter wasn't the friendliest. Since then, my expectations became lower. I ordered a waffle and iced tea, and I wasn't too impressed. When I received my syrup for my waffle, the syrup bottle was stuck to the plate on which it came, that was kinda nasty to me. But that's my own opinion.The inside of the restaurant looks really nice, but the food and customer service made my experience not too great.. Very impressed. Usually I hit Starbucks or Dunkin on my way to work and try to stay away from most "mom and pop" coffee shops. Even though the coffee may be good at a lot of independent places I've never really tasted a major difference in what they offered compared to the easier drive through options. That and the service usually left me feeling more judged than appreciated depending on what I ordered and how long I wanted to use the wifi. I was pleasantly surprised though after trying the Meeting House for the first time. For once I wasn't in a hurry and wanted to try something different so I asked the young lady to surprise me. She seemed genuinely excited by the challenge and after asking me a couple basic questions suggested I try a dirty chai latte. It was new to me and didn't sound too appealing, but I couldn't say no after she stepped up like that and was making the order fun. To say the least, I was floored. I never liked chai before but this was awesome. Since then the coffee, food, and service has consistently been exceptional. I am quite the regular here, either coming with my boyfriend or family, it's the perfect place to just sit, relax, and chat for a while. The food is delicious and the coffee is fantastic, as well as the chai latte (so creamy!!)! The atmosphere is really chill, with several seating options (I always try and claim one of the leather couches) and good music. My only wish is that they were open later, I would love to come and relax after I get off work but they're always closed by then. Other than that, I definitely recommend! read more

A quaint little coffee shop in the heart of Red Bank. The drip coffee is quality, as well as the other drinks (and food) they offer on their medium-sized​ menu. The meeting house is slightly more expensive than other coffee shops around; however, pay an extra dollar for your drip coffee, and you can get free refills for the entirety​ of your stay. Internet connection is laudable as well - around 93 Mbps for both upload and download speeds. The atmosphere is very inviting, and with couches and tables comfortably spaced throughout, the setting is appropriate for work, leisure, or a little bit of both! This was my first visit to The Meeting House, and I was not disappointed. In fact, I spent almost all day there. They have delicious coffee from a local company, and the food is pretty good. It's quiet, but spacious with a comfortable atmosphere. It's a great place to study! They have plenty of tables with tons of outlets and free wifi. I had a mug of coffee for $2.75 with unlimited free refills, which is a must for a good study spot. I also tried one of the breakfast quesadillas and lunch sandwiches, and both were great. The menu is a little small, but it has some solid options for a nice breakfast or small lunch. My only criticism is that I wish it were open a little later through the week so that I could study there in the evenings. I will definitely be going back! read more

I had a great experience here. I went early on Christmas Eve, so I'm sure it was a little quieter than normal? The staff was great, and the food was delicious. I got the endless cup of coffee: recommended for the coffee lover/spendthrift. What the space lacks in coziness/warmth, it makes up for in openness and location. I'd go back.
