I got the same sandwich as last time, and while I can't remember if it was served cold the first time, it was served cold this time. Which was a let down. They also used a Kraft Single American cheese slice as their pick of cheese... which was a MAJOR disappointment and took away from the sandwich completely. We were able to get a large reservation last minute here thankfully! Ordered the notorious P.I.G skillet which was yummy although we ordered it with potatoes and got grits instead. I was too hungry to send it back and the grits were delicious! I do think potatoes would've given a better texture for the dish though. Also got some of the cold brew coffee cake and it was SO good!!! Their lattes aren't bad, just a little on the sweeter side. Will probably go back next time I visit! I've come here for brunch only to be met with an hour wait time for a table. This happened twice before, but third time's the charm! I've heard great things about this place so I was happy that it worked out this time. Inside was full so we were seated outside under the shaded area. It was nice outside. The Neighbor Burger was incredible. The wagyu patties were thicker than I imagined, hearty, and great. The caramelized onions were amazing and that secret sauce? Amazing. It was a light sauce that complemented the burger so well. And that side of sweet potato fries were great too. I loved everything I ate. Service was excellent, the waitresses were helpful and swung by our table a couple of times. I felt like the wait time for our food wasn't so bad. Prices are reasonable too. I have no complaints. Wine Down Neighborhood Bistro is are new favorite breakfast place! My bf and I live in Chattanooga and the 1/2 hr drive is well worth it! The food is outstanding and the blueberry pancakes (my go to, and my new favorite) was so fresh and so good you can taste the good products used in their homemade recipe! I like the link sausage also. I had both turkey and regular. In fact, I can imagine that all their menu selection is good and mostly homemade. Both Shelba and Aralynn are great hostesses, they are super nice and have great personalities! Both Erica and Molly are naturally upbeat and had great smiles (they all do). And they always ask if we need anything more a few times. I had Apple Pie French Toast. It was also delicious and unique! I've never had French Toast like this before. My bf had French Toast. He really likes it. That's his go2 with link sausage! Their coffee menu offers a diverse selection! So many choices! I had white chocolate peppermint latte but added extra cream and took out coffee. I went here with my wife and daughter. They said they would give it a strong four. I would give it a strong three so we are compromising :-) The service was fine. The amount of food was plentiful. I got the grits spinach peppers skillet. It has a different name but I can't recall it. They got the chicken and waffles as well as the Reuben. I enjoyed my meal, but it was slightly salty and tasted like it had a good amount of butter in it. Again, tasty enough, but a little too much salt and butter. My daughter really really enjoyed the chicken and it was so much she didn't really dig much into the waffles. That looked really good. We will definitely be back next time. We are here. read more

Marcus and Georgia created a truly unique atmosphere and menu options for the entire Chattanooga area. This one of a kind bistro is fantastic. I am reluctant in making such a great review because it is so special I still want to be able to walk into this great cozy but open atmosphere and not have to wait. The only reason the restaurant is getting a two star is because of the food. Very good. However, based on the service I will never return and will share my experience with others for them to judge for themselves. One of the issues I've seen with many reviews is the service. Our experience wasn't much different. Our hostess sat us, we received our menu and then we were eventually approached by our waitress. She brings over water, but because we weren't quite ready she goes elsewhere and tends to another table. After a while, we are ready to flag her down, and she finally makes her appearance for us to place our order. My sandwich was hot and excellent, the fries perhaps a tad cool, but still tasty. We flag down the hostess for napkins, who was a sweetheart and brought us over several. After eating, the waiting game began for our check. Numerous people walked past our table, no one asking if we needed anything. We actually did, to-go boxes for our uneaten food. Someone from our table takes the initiative and grabs the to-go boxes for our food, but no one still approaches. Quite some time passes and eventually I go up to the counter to request the check from our server. This entire time she has either been taking out trash, cleaning coffee urns, taking checks to other tables, and basically ignoring our table. Sometimes I'm not really sure what is going on in someone's head, especially since we haven't been overly picky or making requests. Anyway, I go to the counter and ask for the check. She tells me that someone who has the the time will get us our check. Quite rude, honestly. We are a paying guest and if you choose to do your work chores and ignore the customer, then please don't take a table you don't want. Eventually, she comes over and puts the check on the table and just stands there with her arms crossed, waiting for my credit card. I look at her and tell her we are paying cash and I don't need her standing there. So she walks away. I'm typically more than willing to pay above and beyond for great service, but our service was so bad that a tip was unnecessary. I realize that the owner of the restaurant is unlikely to read our reviews and perhaps doesn't even care, but allow this to be a warning to future potential guests. Don't. Order your food online and eat at home and not pay a belligerent waitress for service. read more

We stopped here while visiting family for brunch and WOW! I ordered the Brisket Skillet and it will definitely be a repeat order when we are back in town. It was about $15 but will easily be two meals for me, so worth the price in my opinion. The service was alright. She was friendly but didn't check on us too often, but not bad by any means. We did notice the "reservations recommended" sign and it does seem to be a smaller space, but we did not have wait (11:00 am on a Friday). We've eaten at Wine Down several times for brunch, and while it's not spectacular, they've recently moved brunch to a different building and they've become worse for it. The menu, and food, had actually improved, but that's the highlight of the experience. It was my wife's birthday recently, so we made reservations for our family and called a few days later to add two more, the woman's response was ".. that's NINE now..." as if it was an inconvenience. My first thought was to cancel and take our business elsewhere, but we kept our reservation because we only live 2 minutes away and it was the easy button. When we got there, it was abhorrently loud; to many people in to small a space; everyone competing to talk over each other. Next, we had to wait for our table 10 minutes beyond our reservation time only to be squeezed into a table best suited for 7 at the very most; I sat on the corner to allow space for others. In the end, we preserved, and when calculating the tip for the less than enthusiastic waitress, I accidentally noticed she had already charged us a 20% gratuity but never mentioned it; unfortunate. As long as they maintain brunch in that space, I'll never visit again, not at all enjoyable when you have to shout at the person next to you for conversation. read more

Everyone knows and loves Wine Down, but did you know they've opened a new sister restaurant?! Located where Wine Down's lounge used to be, right next to Wine Down restaurant, is now Neighbor of Wine Down. Neighbor specializes in brunch dishes and I'm so excited there's finally somewhere you can get brunch every day of the week! They've done a lot to the restaurant to give it a homier feel and I think that really adds to the brunch atmosphere. We ordered 3 different dishes, and not one of them disappointed! From the breakfast tacos, to the eggs Benedict, to the country fried chicken, everything was absolutely delicious! I will say while the staff was very friendly it was a little slow, but we tired to overlook this as we know everyone is having staffing shortages at the moment. Overall, a great experience and I highly recommend this spot for brunch any day of the week! read more

Delicious flavors, generous portions, and a great selection. I had the El Jeffe skillet and the eggs were cooked perfectly to order. The chorizo gravy added just the right amount of kick. My wife had a BLT made with fried green tomatoes. Their massive biscuits were delicious and served with clarified butter, strawberry jam, and apple butter. And their equally giant blueberry pancake was chock full of real blueberries and garnished with a whipped cream smile, clarified butter, and real maple syrup. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The noise level is quite high and acerbated by all the hard surfaces, but they do have a lot of outdoor seating (some of which has cover from sun/rain). This place is so freaking good, guys. PHEWWWW. We are big fans of Wine Down next door, so I'd expect nothing less from Neighbor! We've been a couple of times now and have sampled several things on the menu - everything has been really, truly fantastic, but I had...some kind of out of body experience, eating that breakfast burrito. The different textures, flavors, and each element being cooked & prepared to perfection - I don't know how to explain it, but each bite was a new burst of flavor, I just kept being continually shocked by how incredibly delicious it was. Now I'm struggling because despite wanting to sample the entire menu, how will I ever order anything other than that burrito?? Haha! Great service, great coffee, and truly fantastic food. It's a sibling of Wine Down Bistro in Ooltewah's Cambridge Square. My friend and I just enjoyed a delicious outdoor brunch. This is the best breakfast/brunch in town (sort of, it's in Ooltewah)! I had the flap jacks (which were the best I've had, sorry honey) and my wife had the wonderful French toast (wow!). We also had drinks, she had a mimosa and I had a Bloody Mary, both were great! We also splurged on some special coffees, she had the Fall Spiced Chai Latte and I had a cappuccino, which were just as great as the other drinks! My gf and I strolled in today about 1pm, things were not too bad initially even though it have nice to be asked quickly "what would you like to drink?" It was 5 minutes or so before we were greeted. Things got worse from there.. When we decided what to order we waited for the "waitress" and waited.. she was nowhere to be seen, then when she did come out from the back, she did not even look over towards our table. She's hanging out at the bar with her friends, socializing apparently. She finally came over to the table, and when we put our order in, she was making suggestions for us instead of letting us choose what we wanted, ex. " Will vinaigrette be OK for your salad?" It was the same with everything else on the order, we did not want things her way, we wanted things our way we were the paying customers! Choices? I ordered a coffee mocha hot, I received it. It was in a very small cup for six dollars, I would love to have been offered a refill of house coffee, but another girl walked up and grabbed the coffee cup and left the table without asking me, or saying a word.. thanks! After another 10 minutes or so, the food came out. The girl set it down, turned around and walked off before I could say or request anything.. My girlfriend ordered a burger we were hoping to be offered catchup or mustard or maybe something like, "is there anything else I can get you with your food?" The so called waitress again was nowhere to be seen, I finally saw her come back in, plant herself at the bar and started socializing with her friends without so much as a look over towards our table to ask, is the food OK is there anything I can get you? So I walked over to the bar and asked if I could have a cup of coffee please. She brings the coffee out with a small urn and asked me if I would like to have that with the coffee started to walk off and I stopped her and asked her if I could have some creamer with the coffee?? REALLY? I don't think I was expecting too much.. when I checked the urn to see how much coffee there, it may have been four or 5 teaspoons barely anything in it!! So finally some other girl stops by and I asked her if I can have some more coffee and she said they had already turned off the coffee machine, Because they were going to close at 2 PM so the fact that we were paying customers in the restaurant didn't seem to matter I suppose? At this point our so-called waitress never did come back by the table, some other girl dropped off the check. I have waited tables in the past, so I understand how important tipping is, not one time in my life have I ever completely stiffed the wait staff.. well this was the first time and on top of that I wrote poor service on the check! The food wasn't to die for, but it was better than average, the service was possibly some of the worst I have ever received in my life.
