Came here to see knock2 at his blockparty and it was just pretty unorganized. First of all, they didn't even check our bags when we went through security. That gave me an unsettling feeling walking in, because anyone could sneak anything. Also felt like there were no set lines to get in, we just barged in through the gates when they checked our ID's. Only then after, there were gates to form proper lines. At least the porta potties didn't stink, surprisingly. They probably had strong lemon air fresheners to keep the stench masked. I still tried enjoyed my time here, even with the overcrowding and the crowd not being very plur. I just felt a bit scared because our bags weren't checked, and we were a large group, and we all had that same experience.

Cold, cold and freezing cold! It is Saturday May 9th. My first time to the Midway and it was the last. I was so much looking for an outdoor event space and was totally disappointed. It is simply freezing cold and extremely uncomfortable. I would not go there even if it is free.

    Porta Potty Line

I went to a sold-out concert (Botas Y Rave Block Party on June 6th 2026), and they only had 12 porta potties outside for the 3,500-4,000 people in attendance.. My friends and i spent half the concert in line, waiting for the restroom. Horrible planning by the organizers and venue...

Been to several EDM events here, one at The Ride and another at 888 Garage. The production, sound quality, and lighting are great. I'm always amazed at the quality of artists performing and the tickets are very affordable. The whole place just has a positive vibe, staff are friendly and professional, and in general the people attending are positive. The bartenders are fun! Restroom situation is ok, but could be better, especially at 888 Garage. The parking situation could be challenging for some--street parking, and there's not a lot of it. My recommendation is to park elsewhere and take Muni (stop at Marin St. is across the street from the venue) or use a rideshare service or taxi. Easily one of my favorite EDM venues in the entire Bay Area!

    Great lighting and space

Not a bad event space at all. I was worried with all the negative reviews. Sure, the security was pretty rude, but everything else about the venue was excellent. I didn't expect the floor to be so huge. Plenty of space to navigate and dance at the "Elephante" show. And impressed with the lighting. They also have a kitchen that makes some pretty crispy fries that closes at 1am. Their salsas are also delicious. Just wished that the "War Fries" had more peanut butter satay because all I could taste was the ketchup.

Great venue, love the mirror in the hallway to take pics. Multiple rooms and outdoor stage. bathrooms relatively clean and love that they provide water and cups. For parking it usually sucks, but if you go to the lot on the end of the Cesar Chavez street right before Maryland street (just search NTK construction) it's free to park at night. There's a bogus scam guy that charges for parking just ignore him and drive inside, might need to move the cones. He doesn't work there he's just out there trying to scam people to pay for parking. If he says anything ask him to show his creds

Clearly has my name on the ticket. (Hid last name for security reasons) just for my name to not be on the list?

VIP strangely doesn't get honored here. I bought a ticket for VIP directly from the Midway who leverages Tixr, so I know what I bought wasn't resale. It legitimately has my name on the ticket. After bag check/ID check, I was led to a small table with two women asking to see my ID just to tell me my name wasn't on the VIP list to begin with. I told them forget about it because I had friends in GA and didn't plan on truly leveraging VIP to begin with. It's nonetheless sort of embarrassing/weird having spend close to $100 for something that wasn't honored. Do better, Midway.

Do they accept passports as id? by the time my event comes up my id will be 3 days old lol i have no idea if it will come in on time.

Yes, you can use a passport for entry.

I bought a ticket for a meet and greet for a show that starts at 8 pm. What time should I arrive for the meet and greet? Also, will I receive an email a few days before the show with instructions on what to do? WIll I get a email how does it work?

Hi Kabir, Please reach out to us at ticketing@themidwaysf.com and include the event name in your email. We will be able to give you more details from there.…

Where can you park for the block parties. It seems the normal "parking" they have is where the stages are set up?

Hi Jaime, We highly recommend using rideshare apps to get to and from the venue at our Block Parties. Parking around the venue is extremely limited.

    Is the main stage indoor?

It depends on what you're seeing. There is a large stage inside and at times they'll also have a large stage outside - in addition to smaller stages both in and outside.

Can we smoke and bring j's?

The show is outdoors and you can smoke outdoors.

    Is Suicideboys outdoors?

    Yes

A question the event of solomun, is it in the open part or is it indoors,? I ask about the cold if it is outside to go warm, inside is it cold?

Solomun will be indoors and our coat check will be open.

Do they scan proof of Vaccination?

They don't check for vaccination cards altogether. Been at this place twice -- in November and NYE -- none checked. Absolutely horrendous behavior.

    Is the entire venue outside?

No, two indoor stage areas, indoor restrooms, indoor bars, other indoor spaces all in addition to a lot of outdoor space

Is there seating during the Bock party events?

    Limited

What are the vaccine restrictions or are negative tests ok?

Hi Angie - Any event on sale before August 12 and occurring before September 15 requires proof of full vaccination or a negative test within the last 72 hours (PCR or antigen administered by a licensed/bonded profession - no at home tests). All…

    Is there a dress code?

Hi, there is no dress code!

Hello- is tonight's Kaskade Redux tour indoors or outdoors? Also what time does the venue close tonight if that information is available?

    It'll be indoors. He's doing a 6 hour set from 12-6 am

    Best place to park?

Hi Isabella, if you arrive early we have a limited number of parking spaces outside the venue. We recommend taking a car service, though.…

What is the VIP section like for upcoming Duke Dumont show?

Hello Michelle, thanks for your question. For the Duke Dumont show on 11/23 VIP will include expedited entry & access to private lounge…

Can I bring my vape inside?

Vapes are allowed, but they can only be used in designated smoking areas.

    Are water bottles allowed?

Yes, both water bottles and hydration packs are allowed and can be refilled inside. They just need to be empty when you arrival, otherwise security will ask that you empty it before going inside.

Can I bring in an empty reusable plastic water bottle for water? Thanks!

Yes, both water bottles and hydration packs are allowed and can be refilled inside. They just need to be empty when you arrival, otherwise security will ask that you empty it before going inside.

Are there in/out privileges during croptober fest?

Hi Czarina - I'm sorry we missed this. There were no ins and outs at the event, and we don't usually allow it.

Is the croptoberfest indoor or outdoor?

There are two indoor stages and one outdoor stage. Have fun today!

The building was a printing press back in the day, so it's a bit of a maze but that's part of the charm. I've discovered some amazing local businesses. I recently went to their February artisan food fairs, and bought some delicious food products. They had a variety of food vendors: hot sauces, honey, dips, cookies, teas, and more. As for the craft fairs, respect jewelry, candles, cutting boards, and even a few food vendors. That's where I discovered Apisol, a woman-owned company based in the Peninsula that makes delicious sparkling honey beverages. Don't miss the vintage store on the first floor, which has really unique vintage products like postcards, buttons, posters, and more. There are so many fairs in the city, but the vendors here are ones that I haven't seen anywhere else. So check out their insta or their website for dates to their upcoming fairs.

I never heard of this place until a fellow Yelper brought this up to me and I said SFBox? I never heard or been in this location before and I am sure most of you never heard of this place either unless you search for history of the William Randolph Hearst printing press building so many years ago. The building was built in 1926 as a printing plant for the San Francisco Examiner. It is a nice mixed use building like a nice cozy maze to explore the nice layout and architecture of the old print shop. So upstairs about 2 floors and vendors are scattered so it's like a hunt for them, almost like a needle in haystack. Lol Well it's not that hard as you won't miss anyone. Too floor that where you will satisfy your sweet tooth . Yummy. The vendors that were there were a nice mix from tea, cheese, spices, India coffee , Turkish spreads, ice cream, giant cookies, healthy drinks, spreads, and I am sure you will find something you will enjoy. I don't normally buy stuff, but the honey , red beet, 2004 sweet land Bingdao $95 brick tea that is aged 21 years that can make 175 tea servings for $95, Il Fiorello basalmic vinegar was thick and smooth great texture and syrupy taste very captivating and Taste of Levant tahini and their chocolate jar of molasses was excellent and I had to buy them. Yummy in my tummy! Not sure if same vendors will be there again, so catch them the at your farmers market, festivals or next Eats event!
