I went to see, Me n U and Forester here last night. It was general admission. Got a stamp for being 21+ on my right wrist and a stamp for verifying my ticket on the left wrist. Then went through the metal detector. It was fast and efficient. They closed off the top level and only opened the floor area. There's a bar on the right side as you enter the floor. They offered complimentary cold water and cups. Next to it was the bathroom. If you go over to the left side appears to be the VIP area but only half of it was roped off. So we mostly hung out on the other half which had a great view over everyone's heads and there was room to dance. There was also a small seating area here too. The only issue we had was once in a while we can smell the bathroom which wasn't pleasant. When we left the venue, the staffs said, "good night" which was nice.

I love this venue! I've gone to a good number of shows here (Sinead Harnett, Jenevieve to name a few) and thought it was a very spacious venue, however can get p crowded so get there early! ADA Seating: Be sure to email in advance and provide the number of people in your party. Note that there is limited bench seating + foldable chairs towards the front corners of the stage. The line to get in can be long, so dress warm and get there early enough to wait in line!

My family and I just saw a show at August Hall, and honestly, this venue really blew us away. My good experience with August Hall actually kicked off several weeks before the show. I was so excited to see my son's favorite singer was coming somewhat close to us, but when I saw the ticket page said "GA, standing room," I was worried we'd have to skip it. But I reached out to their box office about needing some accessibility accommodations for seating, and the staff answering emails (big shout-out to Melissa!) were super helpful in getting it all sorted. When we finally got there and checked in at the box office, the kind service I'd gotten via email just kept going. There was a tiny mix-up with how many folks were in our group for the special seating, but they quickly and happily helped us get it straight. Then, they walked us to our seats and gave us a quick rundown of the space. Throughout the night, staff even checked in on us a few times to make sure we were having a good time. As someone who's pretty new to having mobility issues and still learning to be comfortable asking for help, experiencing that kind of kindness and care was not just really appreciated, it actually meant a lot to me. The venue itself is just a great spot for a show! The band sounded awesome, and the line of sight was surprisingly great - even seated on the side in our designated area, I had no trouble seeing the stage, even with the floor totally packed with standing people. I also took my son up to the balcony for a bit, and the views up there were really good too. Service at the bar was quick and friendly, and I thought the prices were pretty reasonable for what you usually pay at places like this. And get this: the bathrooms were even quite clean (at a music club, no less!). I'd happily go back to August Hall anytime for another show. I'm truly so grateful to everyone there for making it possible for my family and I to have such a great evening together.

Formerly, Ruby Skye for all the OGs. Great venue, great staff, awesome for intimate concerts. My only gripe was that "VIP" access to the booth seating wasn't enforced very well. We could've just gotten GA tickets but VIP DID include the Meet n Greet and early access to the venue, which was totally worth it .

Went here in mid January for an Amber Liu concert, previous member of legendary KPOP group f(x), Asian-American singer that is very popular in China and the Far East, current soloist who performs in Korean, Mandarin, and English. Her SF show was entirely English. August Hall, previously known as Ruby Sky, is a smaller intimate music and dance hall with two public areas viewing the stage. First floor is primarily the dance floor and second is more like a quieter viewing area of the action or concert below. The second floor was closed for Amber's concert. Patrons go thru security to enter the facility and are checked and wrist-banded for alcoholic drinks if desired. The venue has good acoustics and the elevated stage is visible from the entire dance floor. There's a small seating area on the left side of the first floor. Bar is opposite of the stage. We had a very good time at the concert and felt safe and secure for the entire performance. Street parking can be a challenge but doable, just don't leave any valuables in the car. The Union Square parking lot is also a few blocks away.

IDK HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME - 4/2024
    Jessica T.

Went to August Hall for the first time last week to see IDK HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME in a sold out concert. Had a blast! The venue is a 5-10 minute walk from the Union Square Parking Garage. They stamped our wrists and checked our bags as we went in. There's a bar located on the first floor and another on the second floor. This particular concert was all GA, so first come, first served on both floors. I found a spot on the balcony near the stage and had a great view for the whole concert. There were also free water stations! (Stay hydrated!) The venue is pretty intimate compared to other concert venues I've been to, but I think it makes for a more fun experience since you're closer to the performers. It was my first time seeing IDKHOW live and they were amazing! Ended up buying merch too. Will definitely be seeing them again next time they tour!

One of my favorite venues to visit in the city! Closeby to a BART station, good air ventilation, and the venue is small - which calls for intimate and good views from anywhere! I have been here several times now and every experience is smooth. Thorough security, good sound quality, and friendly bartenders. Love the vibes! Can't wait to come back.

So much light in the audience and on the house decor.

Hi Jenn, There is limited seating along the side walls on a first come first serve basis.

Is there still expedited entry through Fifth Arrow? Is there a VIP option for 11/10?

Hi Jordan, Do I still need a booster to get into a show tonight?…

    Yes

The building was a printing press back in the day, so it's a bit of a maze but that's part of the charm. I've discovered some amazing local businesses. I recently went to their February artisan food fairs, and bought some delicious food products. They had a variety of food vendors: hot sauces, honey, dips, cookies, teas, and more. As for the craft fairs, respect jewelry, candles, cutting boards, and even a few food vendors. That's where I discovered Apisol, a woman-owned company based in the Peninsula that makes delicious sparkling honey beverages. Don't miss the vintage store on the first floor, which has really unique vintage products like postcards, buttons, posters, and more. I never heard of this place until a fellow Yelper brought this up to me and I said SFBox? I never heard or been in this location before and I am sure most of you never heard of this place either unless you search for history of the William Randolph Hearst printing press building so many years ago. The building was built in 1926 as a printing plant for the San Francisco Examiner. It is a nice mixed use building like a nice cozy maze to explore the nice layout and architecture of the old print shop. So upstairs about 2 floors and vendors are scattered so it's like a hunt for them, almost like a needle in haystack. Lol Well it's not that hard as you won't miss anyone. Too floor that where you will satisfy your sweet tooth . Yummy. The vendors that were there were a nice mix from tea, cheese, spices, India coffee , Turkish spreads, ice cream, giant cookies, healthy drinks, spreads, and I am sure you will find something you will enjoy. I don't normally buy stuff, but the honey , red beet, 2004 sweet land Bingdao $95 brick tea that is aged 21 years that can make 175 tea servings for $95, Il Fiorello basalmic vinegar was thick and smooth great texture and syrupy taste very captivating and Taste of Levant tahini and their chocolate jar of molasses was excellent and I had to buy them. Yummy in my tummy! Not sure if same vendors will be there again, so catch them the at your farmers market, festivals or next Eats event!

Every experience has been outstanding. The food is consistently delicious. I've enjoyed everything from simple buffet-style meals to elegant prime rib dinners complete with sorbet palate cleansers between courses. They truly offer options for every budget, and you definitely get what you pay for. One of my favorite memories was a New Year's Eve party. After an incredible prime rib dinner and a night of dancing, they surprised everyone just after midnight with a complimentary sandwich-making station to help soak up the alcohol before guests headed home. It was such a thoughtful touch that everyone appreciated. Their Mother's Day and Father's Day brunches are also fantastic. The food is always excellent, and they have plenty of seating for large groups. Even when we've made last-minute plans, they've been incredibly accommodating. The venue itself is another huge plus. The space can be transformed to fit almost any theme. I've attended everything from elegant quinceañeras to fun jungle-themed celebrations, and each event felt completely unique. Their room rental fees are also much more reasonable than many other venues, allowing you to spend more of your budget on decorations--or simply save the money. Parking is free and plentiful, which is a huge convenience for guests. Most importantly, the staff is amazing. Everyone is friendly, professional, and attentive, making every event feel special. I will absolutely continue hosting my family's celebrations at Dominic's Catering and highly recommend them to anyone looking for great food, exceptional service, and an affordable, versatile event venue. We were scheduled to have a small outdoor wedding ceremony at Mission Dolores Park, but when the San Francisco weather forecast turned "rough" just days before our April 1st date, we were in a total panic. I reached out to Carlos at the last minute, and the level of service we received was nothing short of extraordinary. Here is why you should book your next event here: Incredible Responsiveness: Carlos responded to my inquiry almost immediately and hopped on a call with me the same day to iron out the details. He made a high-stress situation feel completely manageable. Accommodating & Flexible: Even with our last-minute request, he was so generous with the timing. He allowed us to come in early at 2:00 PM to set up flowers and told us there was "no rush" to leave, letting our group stay and enjoy a drink before our dinner reservation. The Space is Stunning: We held our ceremony upstairs in a beautiful, dry, and welcoming space featuring a gorgeous mural. It was the perfect backdrop for our 10-person group--intimate, stylish, and full of character. Personal Touch: Carlos even provided his personal cell number for day-of coordination to ensure everything went smoothly. That level of care is rare.
