THEY STEAL FROM YOU! I booked with mighty maids in February 2026 and 2 ladies cleaned my apartment - Luz and Maribel. They tried to STEAL my husband's WEDDING RING. He briefly sat it down when they walked in and it was gone immediately. Within the first few mins of them being here we knew the cleaners had it! I spent 2 hours basically begging them to give it back and telling them we are newly weds which was difficult because of the language barrier. I had to call the owner Victor and get him involved while the ladies were still here. They had no option but to give the ring back so they "pretended" they found the ring while cleaning. These people are shady and Victor enables this by not vetting his people properly. DO NOT LET THEM IN YOUR HOME. Oh and the cleaning was mediocre. They'd do a better job if they weren't busy being thieves. read more

Asked for a deep cleaning. They broke the stick off of my blinds, broke my shower head, scratched my stainless steel range top and a few other things. Asked the owner to help out with the damages. He refused and would only give me 25% off of my next cleaning. That's an insult. He runs a business and doesn't know how expensive Viking stove tops are. The housekeepers really were very good. Communication from the central office was not. I booked 12 days in advance for a deep clean. The day before they wanted to change the time (I'll add that we didn't change the time when I noted the difficulty with the new time). When the housekeepers showed up they didn't know it was a deep clean and called into hq, I was then texted that the cleaning would be 2.5 hours instead of two and I would need to pay more. In the original quote no time window was mentioned and my condo didn't suddenly get bigger than what I stated. I agreed to the new price because I needed the cleaning. Then, the actually cleaning time (minus the 10 min the housekeepers were calling into hq) was two hours and five minutes. I was told to still pay the revised higher price. After the cleaning I was texted multiple times to leave a good review. I finally told them to chill (the texting really got annoying). Then I explained maybe they didn't want me to leave a review due to the issues. I would have expected an apology, at the very least, after stating my concerns. Absolutely terrible job by this cleaning service. Multiple places around my house I requested cleaned were not cleaned, even after the maids had to come back for a second time. The areas that they did not clean were mostly not cleaned well. Feet extremely dirty after walking barefoot on hardwood floor directly after cleaning the first AND second time. I now have to get another cleaning from another service due to how poor of a job this was. Do not go with this cleaning service. read more

My husband and I had a baby recently so deep cleaning became a low priority. I reached out to a couple companies and the kind and prompt response lead me to choose the Mighty Maids. The two ladies came in looked around and estimated about 4 hours of work which was completely understandable. These two did an absolutely amazing job! Everything is clean and sparkly and the glass shower door is completely clear! They even got the stains out of the shower that were already there when we moved in 5 years ago. Every time I walk around I find something else that has been spotlessly cleaned. The cleaning was amazing and the ladies were kind and hardworking! This is my second home and we were coming back after a few months. So needed a service to quickly come and clean the house. I looked up a few options. Some of them had longer wait times or did not respond on a timely basis. The Mighty Maids was responsive and sent me a fab duo. Maria and Carmel were thorough and quick. They were pleasant and friendly not chatty because both my husband and I were working from home. They were really amazing and left even hard to get to places clean. Without prompting they thoroughly cleaned the kitchen hood etc. They are not cheap. For a 2000 sq ft deep cleaning cost around $400+ including a fairly generous tip. It could be lower for a repeat clean because it may take less time. Overall we are very happy with the quality of work and value for money this time. They left it so clean that my husband who is usually oblivious to his surroundings walked indoors with his shoes on, felt bad and brought a mop and cleaned his shoe print. If you are on the fence, go with them. They are great. I would totally hire them again. read more

TLDR: The maids are great...the owner of this business is unprofessional, rude and stingy. If you don't believe me... just look at his comments on other 1 star posts. You don't want to do business with this guy. I hired mighty maids to do a deep clean of the kitchen and bathrooms to an apartment we just rented. I explained in detail to the owner of the business what needed to be done. When the cleaning crew got here there must have been some miscommunication because I ended up getting a standard clean of my whole apartment. Unfortunately, I don't speak Spanish and was unable to clearly communicate this to the cleaning crew. After they left I attempted to contact the business and never heard back. Then received a text from the business owner two days later asking if I was satisfied with the service. I explained my issues to him and said that since my husband and I had already done the cleaning ourselves I asked for some money back. He said he would take it out of the cleaners pay which I was not ok with. The cleaners worked for 3 hours and deserve to be paid. He should be responsible as the business owner. We went back and forth in an extremely unprofessional and rude exchange in which I ultimately had to block the guys phone number and am not sure if I will be receiving any money back because I can't deal with him anymore. read more

I am reporting the unprofessional, unethical, aggressive, and threatening behavior exhibited by Victor Mijangos, the owner of The Mighty Maids, Chula Vista. After careful consideration, I decided to share my experience despite my concerns about potential further harassment or doxxing, as I believe it's important to warn others. (Yelp reviews state he has doxed other unsatisfied clients.) I was quoted a reasonable amount for a cleaning job, but the owner attempted to extort a significantly higher fee, almost doubling the original quote from $360-$420 to $700 without notice. When I questioned the increase, he responded with condescension and manipulation, then escalated to aggression and threats, sending over 40 text messages to intimidate me into paying the inflated fee. His excuses were unconvincing and inconsistent, and he tried to gaslight me by blaming me for the error. After I mentioned reporting his practices to the Better Business Bureau, he reverted to the original fee, which I paid promptly. I am sharing this not to recoup costs, but to warn others about this business and its owner's tactics, which align with other clients' negative reviews and experiences. From publicly available reviews, you can see that this is Mr Mijangos' modus operandi, he has used the same tactics to bully others. I have been in contact with several other people that have been victim to the same or similar issues as I faced. There are many reports of similar behaviors. If the business had communicated properly and adjusted the quote before starting the work, this situation could have been avoided. After speaking to owner Victor, I was told a set price on what the cost would be per hour, per maid that came to my home. Which is why I agreed for the services to be done. After the maids left. I received a call from Victor telling me the charge would be double what he had said before they arrived! The cleaning done was average and at the rate I was originally told I was fine with it. But when told I had to pay double the amount agreed I knew I was being taken advantage of. Also I had already tipped the maids in cash and had to pay way more than I ever should have. I will never use this company again and advice to anyone thinking of using this company get in writing your cost before they come or you too will be taken advantage of as well and over charged!!!! In response to Victor's...Do Not Use this company! I agreed before they came to my home to pay $25 PER MAID per hour, which is $50 per hour, not $20. which is what I paid and tipped the maids $40 on top of that. After the maids left, Victor called me and told me I owed more, double that in fact. No educated person has people show up without knowing the cost of service before hand! Mighty Maids ghosted me while I was waiting for the crew to show up to work. I called because I thought they were late and on the phone they told me " no the window is 11:30 to 1:30. They'll be there." Then they ignored my calls and they told me that there was no record of any job for us that day. Wow! I was so pissed. With the new way to get quotes on yelp where a customer is able to ask for many quotes at the click of a button.. it takes a very responsive company to win at getting business these days! I was lucky- late one Friday night last week, mighty maids and a few other cleaning companies responded to my inquiry for cleaning services. What stood out to me is that the mighty maids company is efficient! They provide two maids instead of 1 maid. With this, they do have a minimum spend of at least two hours pay, even if they finish the work beforehand which is good with me. I needed help with just two areas of my apartment: bathroom, kitchen and living room windows if they had the time. Surface clean (not deep clean..since I believe that I live very neatly). They blew me away with their cleaning skills and left the space a lot nicer. My cleaner's name was Gladys, and the admin's contacts were Victor and Andre. I told my friends they should use them if they needed help- worth every penny. read more

This review is revenge as he has never been to my business, I hired the Mighty Maids personally and not on the behalf of my business. See image below This is my first yelp review, I normally never give reviews because I do think small businesses deserve a fair shot to improve on personal feedback that is not necessary for it to be public. However my experience with Victor and the mighty maids is completely unethical and I write this to warn others. I scheduled a move out/deep cleaning on my 700 square foot 2 bedroom one bath apartment. My wife and I keep a pretty clean house and before the cleaners came we did a brief cleaning, in hopes that it would help the cleaners focus on the important areas. We were quoted 2-2 1/2 hours at an hourly rate of $135. Booking went pretty well, some confusion but overall pleasant. The cleaners arrived on time and I showed them the space. They looked through the apartment and gave me a quote of now 3-4 hours..I was shocked and I knew it wasn't their business so I left the apartment and contacted the number provided. The owner got back to me and said it would most likely be 3 hours or less. I agreed to it and went about my day. The cleaners contacted me and said the job was complete and I let them know my wife or myself will do an inspection when we got home. My wife inspected and saw that the counter tops were not done 100% of the way but overall it was a decent job. The shocking part was the total amount came to 4 1/2 hours! I immediately contacted the owner (Victor), we got on a phone call and he was very dismissive. He agreed that with me that a 700 square foot apartment should not take 4 1/2 hours but that in this case it might have and once I look at the pictures his cleaners took I would understand. Puzzled I ended the conversation and was curious as to what took that long. He said he would reach out to me. At this point we agreed to not pay the service until he spoke his cleaners and I saw the images. After two days I hear back from Victor, asking me why I have not paid and that it is unfair to his employees. I remind him of our conversation and we got on a phone call. This is the shocking part.. 1. The pictures that he mentioned in our first phone call were never taken. Victor clearly said to me that these pictures would justify why 4 hours were spent instead of 2 1/2. 2. Victor admitted to me that the cleaners lied to him and they spent 3 1/2 hours and not 4 1/2 hours cleaning the apartment. Which still does not line up correctly. Victor has been manipulating, gaslighting and deceptive. I normally never want to be confrontational and most importantly affect anyone that is an employee. However this situation is mind blowing to me. If I did not confront Victor I would have been overcharged. We settled for 3 hours of work, at this point I just wanted to be done, share my experience here and move on. Several times I had to remind Victor of prior conversations, only to be gaslit about how it was all justified. If you are looking for a cleaning company, I would recommend to look elsewhere. The deep clean of our apartment was disappointing. There were two people and they took 3 total hours. I came back and saw many many things they missed. Lights not dusted, baseboards not clean, limescale still on bath fixtures. In our 2 bed, 2.5 bath apartment there were plenty of areas we said NOT to do and yet they took 3 hours to do a less than stellar job. Don't recommend. One of the issues with Yelp nowadays is there are artificially inflated reviews as is clear in this case (see the owners response below). While my feedback is direct it's truthful and my experience nonetheless. I depend on honest reviews from real people to help me choose the services I seek. In this case it did not accurately reflect the service received. I hope this will help the discerning consumer make a better choice for them. 7 out of 10. The maids do an incredible job cleaning, and would give them a 5/5. But 2/5 for customer service. My first appointment was a 2-hour minimum and they finished in 1 hr and 15 mins. Rather than try to do more stuff, they started packing and we're ready to leave. Felt awkward asking them to stay longer as they were already out the door. Also had issues with scheduling the first time, but Victor tried to make it right. My second appointment was for one hour. They finished about 25 mins early and we're ready to leave again. I wanted them to stay longer, and had asked them to wipe the ceiling fan, and they said it wasn't part of a regular cleaning. Again they were very ready to leave, so just decided this would be my last time using them. Not a great experience overall, and feel slighted that a company charging $120 per hour (which I think was suppose to be some sort of discount) keeps leaving well before the time rather than staying to clean. My place is only 600 sq.ft, maybe they are only a better option for houses, but will look elsewhere. Not worth it for me. But they do a great job cleaning, so keep that in mind. This was an amazing experience for me! Its been so hard to clean and be a fulltime mom outside of my Military working hours. The service I requested was a full house cleaning only 2 days before I wanted it done and the Mighty Maids came through for me! They even organized my pantry!! I love the way they quickly and efficiently worked their way from upstairs to downstairs in only 2 hours!! I feel that the service I received was amazing! I think next I will request the deep cleaning service and organization for a little help getting things the way I imagine my home should be!
