Top: cheeseburger tots Bottom: Frenchie - I also asked for a side of ranch. The ranch is so good
    Lizabeth A.

First time dining in we usually order takeout but we decided to come in for lunch, and it was awesome! A friend recommended The Frenchie, and it definitely did not disappoint. It was delicious! I also ordered a side of ranch for my fries, and their ranch is thick and flavorful just how I like it. My friend got the Cheeseburger Tots, her go-to appetizer, and now I totally see why she loves them. The service was fantastic. Our server, Bri, was super attentive, quick with refills, and made sure everything came out just right. We arrived right at 11, so it was quiet at first, but by the time we were finishing up, the place was buzzing with people clearly a popular spot! Parking was easy to find, and getting in and out of the lot was a breeze. Overall, what a hidden gem! I'll definitely be back.

Disappointed in my service. It took over 25 mins for me to receive my food after I ordered. I was a solo diner. I ordered before the table of three next to me. Their meals were delivered before mine. I realize it could have been my order but honestly how long does it take to fry a crab cake and french fries. Server was mostly nonexistent. The crab cake platter was good considering this establishment was a pizza and sandwich type of a place. The crab cakes were decent size and filled with crab meat. I decided to order dessert because they had pumpkin cheesecake on the menu as a special. Was disappointed when I had to order another dessert since they were out of the special. I didn't really care for the deconstructed strawberry shortcake. I have mixed feelings about this review. Food was good. Rustic atmosphere was cool. Can't really get past the service needing improvement. Note: parking lot is very small for such a popular establishment. Dining room can only be accessed by a set of narrow stairs and may be a problem for some patrons.

Everything was wonderful! I had their dough stuffed bacon burger. Really good! I just wish they were open on Sundays. I will be back.

One of our go to locations when we are home voting family! We have been here atleast 5 times, and they have never disappointed. They do take reservations which is one of the biggest reasons why we come here to eat. Their food is also delicious and there is a variety. I've always loved the egg roll appetizer and their soups. Their pizzas really are fantastic. That wood fire taste is one of my favorites when it comes to flavor. Every time we have dined here the staff has been great including management. They all work well together from getting the food out, to clearing tables. Our food has always been made to perfection. Parking can be tight. Carpool if possible. The building inside is beautiful. It has some of the original bones and beautiful exposed brick. The bathroom is very cozy.

Truffle bacon pizza (mushrooms on the side) 10/10. We also grabbed some buffalo chicken eggrolls which were hand rolled and AMAZING!!

Used to have the best pizza in the area with no questions whatsoever. However the last two times it has been really disappointing... I am assuming they changed their pizzaiolo because the dough is not consistent and much of the flavor have been lost. I really hope they improve again because it was the best go to spot in the Harleysville area :(

It really needed a sweet spread not just raisins like honey or fig jam. The bad part: Not sure if we needed to explicitly tell a server to spread things out but all three dishes were delivered at the same time. With hot dishes like the flatbread and the tacos we had to push the cheeseboard aside so they did no get cold.

It is meant as a shareable starter but honestly who would want to share. I thought the fish tacos would be a good entree. I did not expect the size of the tacos. I admit to having a big mouth but there was no way I could easily bit into the tacos. I was a total mess. LOL. The tacos were filled with a large piece of fish then topped with a cabbage slaw. Yum! I highly recommend. This establishment never disappoints.

They have a solid happy hour menu (one of the few places around that still does half off apps without changing the portions) and weekly specials are great, too. My favorite is their taco Tuesday. $5.00 margs (they make their marg mix in house no pre-made surgery stuff!), $2 tacos, and $12 enchiladas which is a healthy portion and very fresh! My go to for appetizers are their honey way wing bites and the eggplant! As far as entrees go I always rotate between their salads and the short rib melt. Sometimes I wish the melt had just a bit more of the horseradish cheddar (I have asked for extra in the past) but overall it is very flavorful. Their menu does rotate every so often. I stopped by Lettie's with my mom yesterday for a late lunch before heading up to PA to visit…read moreLongwood Gardens. I'd had Lettie's bookmarked for at least six months, and recently saw that they won Best of DE Editor's Choice for fried chicken. In light of my not-so-secret love of Southern/soul food and fried chicken in particular, I knew that I needed to check Lettie's out, esp. after seeing the tantalizing photos on Yelp. Per other Yelpers' advice, I called in my order en route 20 min. ahead of time, which worked out perfectly for us. Upon arrival, I gave them my name for the chicken, and we ordered sides of potato salad and mac and cheese, as well as freshly brewed iced tea to drink (note: they only brew unsweet iced tea). After ordering, we took a seat on the wraparound porch, and they brought the food out to us in less than 5 min. From my first bite into a drumstick, it was clear that this was the best fried chicken I'd ever put in my mouth. The skin was perfectly crisp, with the perfect amount of breading to give it a satisfying crunch, and the meat was tender and oozing with moistness. My mom told me that this chicken was the closest she'd ever had to my great grandmother's fried chicken from Arkansas, and was "real Southern fried chicken." For my part, I can say that it's better than the fried chicken I had at several well-known Southern restaurants in Atlanta, as well as any fried chicken I've had to date in Pittsburgh. As difficult as it is for me to admit, it's even better than my own fried chicken! My only minor criticism is that the breading was a bit salty for my taste--but even so, its texture was so perfect that I can overlook it. As for the sides, both of them were clearly homemade, and were very good. The mac and cheese was made with a sauce that tasted like sharp white cheddar was used, and was on the creamier side of the spectrum. I don't even really like potato salad (I find it very bland), but I tried some and thought it was decent, which is high praise from me. It had small pieces of dill pickle, celery, and hard boiled egg mixed in, giving it some nice flavor and crunch. Needless to say, my mom and I were extremely impressed at the quality of the fried chicken from Lettie's. Although the chicken is technically broasted, since it's cooked in a pressure cooker instead of deep fried, it's difficult to tell that it's not fried--the only difference is that it's slightly less greasy on the outside. My only regret is that I forgot to order dessert, since I would have loved to try the key lime pie and my mom would have liked to try the chocolate cake, both of which I'm certain must be excellent based on the quality of everything else that we tried. If you appreciate good fried chicken and home cooking, Lettie's is a must-try--you certainly won't regret discovering this hidden gem in Hockessin!

But what we got was breakfast awesomeness. It's small, with a cozy, "country" feel, as you might expect. Cute. Coffee was strong and plentiful, served in those great diner-style mugs that keep things piping hot for a good long time. Servers were totally on top of their game (the place was jumpin' so they really had to be) and all had that combination of "I'm super nice and glad you're here, but don't you dare slow me down" goodness. And the food? The food was fantastic! Each of the five people in our group got something different, and everyone was super happy with what they got, from cinnamon-raisin French toast with apple butter to a garden vegetable skillet to corned beef hash eggs Benedict. I went simple with a breakfast sandwich with a fluffy scrambled egg, thick-cut pork roll, and Cooper sharp on the lightest, airiest Kaiser roll I've ever had. And do no sleep on their thick cut bacon, which is meaty and delicious and coated in a buttery mapley goodness that tasted like Heaven. Things to note: they only take cash, and on the weekends, there's an hour limit (meaning you can't dawdle) so they don't have lines piling up outside. Breakfast for five of us was just under $80, so reasonably priced. We had a great time. And the next time we go, it'll be because it's just a great spot.
