Ok so this is a new place and we couldn't wait to try it because there I literally no place good to eat in this area.. Sorry to say there still isn't! Service was horrible basically teenagers are running the upstairs seating area. We were instructed to head upstairs to the dining area where we sat in this small room just waiting and waiting not knowing we were in the wrong room... We made our way to the other dining area and we sat ourself because the sign stating "please wait to be seated" was not facing the door we came though. We sat again with the staff just starring at us. That's when I asked my youngest daughter to get us menus. Then the teenage hostess came over and asked us to move to yet another table! Seriously the place is small but we move 1 foot over so it could be convenient for our waitress. Now for the food the pizzas were bland no flavor at all! We ordered both the white and the margarita. I work across the street and I went over to eat here on my lunch break today. I had the Quinoa & Avocado Salad and it was fantastic. It was a great portion and I really appreciate the extensive menu that includes more vegetarian options. It's a cool place to eat and I really enjoyed the old rustic feel to the building. I went for lunch today. I ordered Caesar salad with chicken. It was very delicious. I also liked the service and reasonable pricing.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The clean, modern farmhouse decor is beautiful. The upstairs dining room was full both week nights I've recently been! The food is really good and everything tastes very fresh. The waitstaff is very pleasant, but both time I have been it seems there are only 2 waitress' and 1 hostess for entire upstairs so it sometimes takes them awhile to get to tables & I've heard complaints from tables next to us (and I would say it appeared the staff was quick & efficient and busy running from table to table, they just had too many tables). I think I would title this as "Needs a Bit of Experience." We tried food from The Mill at a food truck festival a week ago and enjoyed it, so we figured we'd check it out for a real meal, albeit takeout. Overall, the staff personality and friendliness is excellent. It was easy and clear to order over the phone. Or so I thought. We ordered 2 different adult entrees and 2 identical kids meals. They had prepared 3 adult entrees and 1 kid's meal. They had forgotten to swap the chips with fries in 1 adult entree. For those issues, they made everything right as quickly as possible and were very apologetic. It's fine, no one is perfect, humans make mistakes. It was nice of them to correct it with a positive attitude. Unfortunately, when I got home, I realized my sandwich was not what I ordered. It was rainy and cold outside and I wasn't going back. I did call to make them aware, not to make them feel bad, but to make sure their cooks know the menu. They were again very apologetic, offered to let me speak with the manager, which I declined because I was sure the girl who took my call was going to tell the other 4 people involved with correcting the first mistake that, as she said, "they let me down 3 times." The food: It was ok. Lansdale is pretty light on unique dining options, so it's exciting when something new opens. I was excited to try the Italiano with roasted veggie goodness, but instead they mistakenly gave me the Italian roast pork sandwich. I ate it anyway because, again, I wasn't going back. Kind of one-note. Good pork, good greens, good roll, but nothing special. My husband got the Buffalo Bomb which he said was good, but maybe even a bit too spicy. And this is from the guy who hasn't met a hot sauce he doesn't like. We also shared the wood-fired wings. They were ok, good size, cooked well with good wood flaver, but the garlic parmesan flavor wasn't there. I'm not sure where the garlic was, but I'm pretty sure the parmesan came out of a green canister marked with KRAFT. The chicken fingers and french fries were fine. I hesitate to review fries in take out orders because it's impossible to keep them hot and crisp, but I can definitely say the orders were a bit small. I'd give them another shot, but I will wait a while to see how the reviews trend. They seem to want to do something a little different but have fallen a bit short of their goal. The WORST MEAL EVER .. Well second WORST meal ... We have tried this place twice .. Each time MORE disappointed... ALL 4 of our group had to send meals back ! Two had freezing cold meals .. Yet when they came out to bar ( before taking to our table ) we watched the bar service TOUCH the Meal to rearrange the plate .. NO GLOVES ON !... Then my moms meal came out with Burning HOT fries and FREEZING. Cold Tuna melt ( cold toast is awful ) Mine was the WORST .. Ordered a CHEESE steak ... Came out with NO CHEESE ON ... Server agreed.... Manager came over and ARGUED with me .. That the cheese was on the steak .. But it MELTED are you KIDDING ME .. There was NONE ... Seriously ?!! Never offered to take it back .. Then when the check came ... Let us know ... No worries we took the " cheese" charge off your bill ..... NOT THE SANDWICH ... Just the $1.00 for cheese (mind you NO DISCOUNT FOR 3 COLD ... Sub PAR meals .. And one completely wrong meal .. I said ... Oh so you are finally admitting there was NO cheese ... I ORDERED A CHEESESTEAK .. I got NO CHEESE ! This is one of those diamonds in the rough restaurants. The outside of the building doesn't look like much and you can actually drive past it and miss it. However, don't be fooled, it is an amazing cozy place to have lunch or dinner. And the food is phenomenal! My favorite appetizers were the fried mac and cheese bites which were nestled in a tasty stewed tomato sauce. And the poutine was amazing! The marguerite pizza was a good size for two to share and is the best tasting pizza around Kulpsville. The service was good as well. This is a BYOB restaurant. Visited the Mill for lunch on 10/10/2016. Nancy was our server and took great care of us. We only had about an hour for lunch so Nancy made sure all of our appetizers and entrees came out fast. My coworkers and I had the following: Cheesesteak Egg Rolls - 2 large egg rolls filled with lots of cheesesteak meat and cheese. Delicious. Poutine Fries - large helping of fries covered in brown gravy and cheese curds. All at the table agreed the fries were delicious. Fish Tacos - coworker said the fish tacos were tasty with a good sized piece of fish on each tortilla Sausage sandwich - coworker said the sausage was cooked were well and had great flavor. Second time here. First time was GREAT. So great I invited two of my friends to dinner here with me last weekend. We ordered the cheese steak egg rolls which were very good. My one friend and I ordered pizza, my other friend ordered a club sandwich. The appetizers came out quickly, then the pizzas. And nothing else. We waited and waited.. Had the server came back to check on us she would have known an order was missing. I was embarrassed. The sever finally came over (about 10 minutes after pizza arrived) I said we were missing a sandwich and my friend said he didn't want it. She delivered it in a take out container and didn't charge him. That was a decent offer, but really... ridiculous since they weren't busy. I did take out tonight. I had to wait which I didn't mind due to the Covid 19 virus that is impacting businesses. The worst part was my sandwiches were burnt. I got two Frenchie steak sandwiches and poutine. All was burnt. They ended up in the trash after we tried to eat. Rolls and meat and onions were all burnt not salvageable. Our first visit since the change in ownership and renovation. We dined in the new upstairs area that has wait service. They have kept the original brick interior. Very nice and cozy. It is BYO. The staff was friendly and efficient. I had the Pork Italiano. It was delish and large enough to take half home. My hubby had the Chicken Italiano, also good and large. Downstairs was take out and counter service. I assume that means you can order and seat your self like the old Mill used to do. One word of caution. If going upstairs, there is a somewhat steep set of stairs to navigate. I did not see an elevator although there may have been one. We will be back. read more

Short Version/TL;DR: Pros - Excellent, high-quality food; great atmosphere; great service Cons - Pricey, but comparable to similar restaurants in the area; old building, so can be a bit cramped and may be a problem if you have issues with stairs/confined spaces Longer Version: I've lived in the area for a decade; I pass this place every Saturday while running errands and we decided this weekend to stop in for the first time. We'd been craving pizza, but we don't really like any of pizzerias around. We had the the Drunken Crab Poutine, wood-fired wings, and traditional pizza. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about the food. You can tell they use real, whole, quality ingredients in all of their dishes, and everything was hot and fresh. The amount of crab in the poutine was generous and the fries weren't soggy, the wings were juicy and crisp with a lot of fresh garlic and parmesan, and the pizza had flavorful sauce with real mozzarella and a garlic-brushed crush - best of all, it was wood-fired and NOT greasy at all. I'd seen some people find the wait time for their food to be excessive, but we didn't feel that was the case. The staff were very courteous and helpful, and our server came around just enough to check on how we were doing without being intrusive. Initially, I was surprised by how much staffing there was, but as the night wore on the place really filled up. The layout is a bit confusing and it can feel cramped and very vertical, but the restaurant is literally an old mill and makes good use of the space available. I feel they've done a great job of making it modern while retaining the charm of the original building. The prices can seem high, but they really are reasonable when compared with other places in the area - the greater Philly area tends to run higher in general. Overall, a fantastic, satisfying experience. We would highly recommend The Mill and will definitely being returning in the future - it's now one of our favorites in the area. read more

Ordered here last Friday. Had a great experience. Ordered here this Friday and had a horrible experience. I asked for a kids burger, a raspberry turkey sandwich and a BLTA. I asked for no pickles to come with any of the sandwiches. 2 orders of fries, one of which was sweet potato (Note: it's $2.99 extra for sweet potato fries). I get home and there are pickles with all of the orders and no sweet potato fries. My BLTA was basically a bacon sandwich with roughly one slice of avocado on it. The kids burger was charred to a crisp. So I call, which I usually never do, but the pricing here is so high anyway that it seemed worth it. The manager gets on the phone and she was not very pleasant. She said "You paid with cash. What do you expect me to do?" Oh I don't know Angry Manager Lady, maybe apologize for the horrible take out experience and tell me there will be a $20 gift card waiting for me if I'd like to come pick it up. $20 mind you is still less than the $30 we just paid you for this piece of crap lunch. I will not be returning to this place again if the food is going to be inconsistent and they will take no accountability for screwing up an order. read more

Went for dinner on a Friday night and it was amazing!!! Their pizza is by far the best around!! My husband had the BBQ Mac & Cheese Burger and I had the Chipotle Turkey Burger both were great!! The service was great as well, everyone was extremely friendly! Definitely will be back soon! They give you the option of eating in the beautiful upstairs dinning area or getting take out and enjoying it in the lower level. I was not at all happy, except for a delicious cup of coffee. Waited 40 minutes for our food after placing the order. My wife ordered a simple "skinny burger" (no bun) with no tomato and I ordered a "greek" salad. Her medium-well burger was very medium rare. My salad had about enough lettuce to hide a burger, no more. 80 percent of the salad was large 3 inch sections of bell peppers and cucumbers cut into large spears, like pickles. About 2 oz of onion and a dozen kalamatra olives and oil dressing finished the mix. I really felt like I was just eating a bowl of green peppers, not a Greek Salad. Color me disappointed in the food and delivery time. The waitress apologized for the delay in getting our order and did give us an order of fries free of charge...but we don't eat fries, so that didn't work out for her. read more
