My friends and I got here when it opened today at 10am -- no reservation and we were sat immediately. Cute place and decor. They have the main floor with a separate section that must be for large groups. Their restrooms are downstairs which also has space for what must be private dining or perhaps open on nights where it's busier. I got the huevos rancheros - a bit not traditional because they use cannellini beans and tortilla strips. I prefer the dish with guacamole, black beans and a tortilla so I'd order something different next time but still tasty! A very uneven experience with excellent service being hamstrung by poor execution. An excellent mushroom soup was followed by a rather bland broiled chicken. Wars have been fought over salt making it regrettable that little to no seasoning was evident. I could also do without an upcharge for a bread basket that featured two slices of rye bread quartered. This is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever been to. It is so pretty inside very spacious. There's even a downstairs area for private parties and events. Inside there is a good amount of space even for bigger parties. Parking unfortunately is street parking so I did have to walk a bit. We were a party of two and I made a reservation for lunch at 12:30pm. It was super easy to make a reservation through Resy and we were seated immediately. For our food we got the house salad, the ricotta gnocchi with chicken, and the grilled chicken paillard. The house salad was AMAZING. It was so refreshing and bright I could have eaten that all by myself. The ricotta gnocchi was very fresh and seasonal. We were surprised to find out we could get chicken with it. The grilled chicken paillard was larger than expected. The chicken itself was a bit on the dry side and not as flavorful as I would've liked. I knew the chicken came with lettuce but I didn't realize it was a full salad on the chicken rather than just some greens on the side. We decided against a drink or dessert since we wanted to walk around Princeton and go to some other shops. Overall I really enjoyed this restaurant. I would 100% come back. This would be a great location for an engagement party or a baby shower. It's beautiful, big enough to host a party, and very elegant and classy. Will definitely be back! I went on a Saturday at 11am. I got the spot right out front but most spots were taken. There is a parking garage directly behind the building if needed. The staff here were friendly and service was excellent. The temperature inside was perfect. The ambience is casual but cute inside. They have large windows which bring the sun in nicely. There is a large outdoor patio which I can't wait to see open with warmer weather. The brunch menu has many great options. I got the brioche French toast with applewood bacon and everything was phenomenal! The French toast wasn't dry at all and very moist. It was topped with slightly cinnamon spiced apple chunks. The bacon was crispy and thick and tasty. The other person in my party got the meeting house plate and said it was delicious. The eggs were cooked to perfection. Our water glasses were filled promptly when they got even slightly low. The bathrooms are located downstairs along with a private party room. I would say by the time we left closer to 12:30 it was very busy in there. I have no complaints about today's visit and will surely be back! read more

We recently hosted my mom's 60th birthday brunch at The Meeting House in Princeton, and it was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Jeremy, the event coordinator, was fantastic to work with. He was organized, responsive, flexible, and genuinely invested in making sure every detail was just right. He made the planning process seamless and stress-free, which means everything when you're hosting a special family celebration. We held the event in the Jackson Room, which was beautiful. The large windows brought in so much natural light, and the space felt intimate without feeling closed off from the rest of the restaurant. It struck the perfect balance: private enough for a celebration yet still connected to the space's energy. The noise level was not an issue at all, making it easy for guests to mingle and enjoy brunch comfortably. The day of the event was equally impressive. Cesar, our server, was exceptional. We went here on a Wednesday evening for a moms night out, seated outside immediately (we made a reservation) the outdoor area is nice, the bar and inside looked really spacious and clean. They had a private party room downstairs too. Street parking with a possible fee or there's a garage near by. We shared appetizers and each got our own plates as well. Everything was delicious! Went here for date night last week as we were in the Princeton area. We had the house burger, Margherita flatbread, and a kale caesar salad. The flatbread was a bit dry, but the salad was fine. I'll try some other items on the menu. Good and quick service. I liked the decor; it felt homey with a touch of Joanna Gaines. There's a parking lot and tons of seating available. I've been here a few times now and at different times. First time was lunch at the bar. Burgers and cocktails were great we were really pleased with our meal, the services and the ambience. The next time we came for dinner and ate downstairs. The portions were a bit small for the price and just felt like it wasn't as good as lunch. Recently we came to a private party of about 50 people. The cheese board looked like they just dumped cubbed cheese out of bags onto the table. Presentation was surely lacking. Then they came out with pizzas. One at a time for 50 people. The chicken skewers looked like they cut a breast into 15 pieces and the burgers were so rare it was inedible. Only positive were the tasty cocktails and again good service. Most recently we came for happy hour. They have a really nice bar and a great menu. We got there right at 4 only to find out the kitchen didn't open until 4;30. When we asked the bar tender was annoyed and rudely answered. I'm sure he gets that question all of the time but why not just open it all at 4:30? Came here for brunch on a Saturday early afternoon and it was really lively! Our table of 4 were seated very quickly. Luis was our server and he was very friendly and attentive. Food and drinks came out quickly... I loved my Spiced Pear Bellini! So much so that I would like to try to recreate at home. Very seasonal and well balanced flavors. Their version of the huevos rancheros was definitely a different take on what anyone is used to, but it worked! Made with cannellini beans... it was a very light vegan version of the dish. Not much tortilla... but the amount that was there was enough with this sauce that the beans and the avocado puree created. I had to add some hot sauce for a little more seasoning and flavor, but it was a great dish. I tried some of the fries that were at the table... they were nothing to write home about, but were decent enough. Could've been crispier with a little more seasoning action. I've been to Meeting House for dinner, brunch, and lunch and I enjoyed all of my meals except for lunch. The ambiance is slightly upscale while still casual and there was a more private room I assume for larger parties. The restaurant was relatively busy but there's both indoor and outdoor seating and I haven't seen anyone having to wait to be seated. For dinner, I ordered the mushroom lasagna and I had the paisley palace as my drink. Both were tasty and I enjoyed them! When I went for brunch, I had the avocado toast which wasn't bad and the biscuits which I actually really enjoyed. I wouldn't get the avocado toast again but I would recommend the biscuits. For lunch, I got the grilled chicken paillard which i would NOT recommend. The chicken was dry and very bland and essentially there was just salad on top of a large flat slab of chicken. My friend's pasta was also quite bland and disappointing. Overall, I would come back for dinner or brunch but would be hesitant to come back for lunch unless I was trying something different. read more

The food was unbelievably bland. My steak came out blue rare after I clearly asked for medium-well -- absolutely unacceptable. The steak and ribs were both terrible. The ONLY decent things on the entire menu were the mashed potatoes and broccolini. We wasted $304 on a meal for five that tasted like nothing. Honestly, we would've been better off spending $40 at McDonald's -- at least that would've actually tasted good. Occasion: Date night for myself and girlfriend Atmosphere: dim lighting made for an intimate environment though it didn't feel as if it was "romance/dates only". It was quite loud (or maybe just the table next to ours was overly boisterous) Service: quick, efficient and pleasant. We were told about their special menu promptly (which was ordered), we were checked on regularly but not micromanaged. Perfect. What we Ordered: Buttermilk biscuits, Steamed Mussels, Ricotta Gnocci, Ribeye (with broccolini and Brussels sprouts), Miller light, and 2 Paisley Paradise Thoughts: Buttermilk biscuits were decent, though I'm used to a more southern style that isn't as crumbly. Right amount of salt to it so the bread is tasty. The Mussels were fantastic and the broth was very flavorful. They weren't over salted nor was the broth to prominent overtaking the mussels flavor. All of them were cooked perfect and opened. My Ricotta Gnocci with sun dried tomatoes and spinach was an 8/10. The only problem I had was that some of the spinach tasted bitter (beyond normal expectations for sautéed spinach). My partner's Ribeye was ordered medium-rare and she said it was done right (and she showed me and I thought it looked great). The taste was fantastic as well. The Paisley Palace were exceptionally done. Not too strong and balanced nicely. Delicious and refreshing enough I ordered a second. Overall: The meeting house is an excellent place for a date night, get to gather, or just a simple dinner with wonderful food, impressive drinks, and an intimate yet lively environment. 9/10 read more

I loved everything about the decor and just the all around vibe. They have a really nice downstairs area where you can host different events (this is on my list!) The food was delicious. We ordered the buttermilk biscuits and they literally melted in your mouth. So warm and buttery and it was paired with their tasty jam. We both ordered the meeting house plate because who doesn't want something sweet and salty for brunch! The fact that they even have one option that satisfies both cravings is impressive in itself.
