Thoroughly enjoyed an impromptu breakfast here this past Sunday morning. Arriving at 930 I saw a pretty full parking lot and was prepared for a small wait. Not necessary as three two tops were available. My wife and I took one, then each ordered one of their specialty coffee drinks. The presentation was excellent and taste was great. Such a nice start. Brunch foodies will love the menu choices. Sweet or savory, meat or veggie, cold or hot. Many dishes with a tasty side salad. Everything was fresh and expertly prepared. We got shut out (again) at Willow & Whisk ... 35 min wait at 11AM ... so a quick search brought us here. Ample parking, a few seats by the window, attentive wait staff, and an impressive menu. We arrived between breakfast and lunch. I was tempted by their pancakes and French toast offerings but the burger spoke to be. My friend had their short rib grill cheese. My burger was perfection on a bun. Yum. It was almost too big to grab and bite into but I managed it. The Short rib sandwich was too big for my friend to finish. It came home for a later meal. One quibble was the fried. They are shoestring ... not my favorite. I think steak fries would elevate the experience but many may differ. My wife didn't come with us so I got a take home muffin. Needing breakfast and not wanting to get a bagel or stop it any fast food type places looked for breakfast/ brunch places on Yelp and saw this place was not too far from me. I headed over around 10:30, when I got there I thought the place was full but there is additional parking in the back. I sat down at the bar since I was by myself and was helped the promptly. The people who work there were all very friendly and I had ordered the braised beef hash. The food came out fairly quickly and it was perfectly cooked. The egg had the yolk runny but the white was fully cooked which is a perfect egg for me. The beef was tender and tasty. Overall a pretty good breakfast. The prices are a little high for breakfast, but when you consider their farm to table style I think it's actually reasonable. If you were looking for a good place to stop for breakfast or lunch, I don't think you would be disappointed. The food was pretty high quality. The service was good and fast. He was friendly. Fabián brought our plates and cleared items off the table and was polite. Our orders were: Beautiful large cups of Coffee and Tea Blueberry Pancakes - so fluffy and airy with plenty of blueberries. Blueberries were mixed into the batter and there was a blueberry syrup on tip. It was just sweet enough that we didnt need syrup. Mama's Steak and Eggs - this was delicious! We were zipping along from Newport to DC and picked this spot for brunch based upon "where the blue dot was" on the map. New favorite brunch spot!! Went in with a party of 4 at 1:00 on a Saturday and was given a 35 minute wait time (was seated in 37 minutes, so great estimate on their end!). Parking lot is small, but we were able to find a spot. Friendly wait staff and quick turnaround time for drinks and food. This place was the cutest little breakfast spot. Went here around 11AM on a Saturday and it was packed but luckily we snagged a seat within 10 minutes (and before an even bigger breakfast rush). The wait staff was lovely and accommodating and did not rush us at all and the whole vibe of the place was cozy. They even had a cute little breakfast bar. The coffee was great and served in beautiful mugs. For my entree I got Papa's purgatory which was 3 poached eggs over tomato saucy goodness, served with bread of your choice (I got the seed bread). The eggs were perfect and the dish was so incredibly flavorful with the tomato sauce mixture having eggplant and olives throughout and it was beautifully seasoned. The seed bread that came with it for dipping was incredible and I may need to find out if they make it in house or get from somewhere because I need it In my life daily. This breakfast dish was potentially one of the top 10 breakfasts I ever had. I will definitely be coming back to this new spot in and telling everyone about it because it deserves all the praise. I'm actually pretty surprised to see this place have 4.7 stars I would think 3 1/2 to 4 would be more appropriate.. The decor is very cute. But we walked in and four staff were standing at the counter and looking like deer in headlights. They took a bit to attend and seat us. As for the food, the vegetables were fresh, but I'm torn if the scrambled eggs were actual eggs or powdered eggs. The pancakes were very fluffy. I'd have to say that I wasn't overwhelmed by any of the flavors of the food even as a breakfast option. The coffee was tasty though. The staff was kind and attentive, but I can't get over the deer in headlight look that all of them had.
