I opted for the gold ceramic pads for $480 all-together. Communication and service was quick and efficient, and the repair took about 50 minutes. The owner was kind and agreed to do the service at an open area which was preferred. At the end, they let me drive around the lot for a bit to test out the new brakes. Unfortunately, the other shop gave me very few answers. I paid $305 for the diagnosis, but the report I received from the other shop was extremely basic. They also didn't give me a list of the parts that needed to be replaced, a breakdown of the labor costs, or much of an explanation of how they came to the conclusion that I needed a $4,800 repair. When I asked for more information, they were irritated with me and very dismissive. When I went to CARS, the experience was completely different. Michelle, the Office Manager, has been wonderful. She is extremely knowledgeable about automotive repairs, but more importantly, she knows how to explain things in a way that makes sense to someone who isn't a mechanic. She genuinely wants her customers to understand what's going on with their vehicle and feel comfortable with their options. I never felt rushed, talked down to, or pressured. I can't say enough good things about Michelle, Hank, and the entire team at Cars LLC. From the beginning, they genuinely cared about helping us solve the problem instead of just trying to sell us unnecessary repairs. Their honesty, experience, and commitment to customer satisfaction really set them apart. Our check engine light kept coming on because of the mass airflow sensor. I had replaced it myself at least a dozen times using a sensor purchased from a local auto parts store, but the problem always came back. Michelle's years of experience led her to suggest that the issue might be that the replacement sensor wasn't an OEM part. We took her advice, installed an OEM sensor, and the problem has been completely resolved ever since. Sometimes it's not about replacing more parts, it's about having the knowledge and experience to diagnose the problem correctly. Each of them telling my brakes were fine. Alex and Jim listened to my concerns let me ride with them to explain the noise and did in fact find the problem. At the same time I had another car after getting brakes somewhere else, then told I needed told I needed axle and wheel bearings and also a new transmission. I went straight to them who let me know none of that was required. That was December 2024. I have now taken 4 different cars to them. They listen and are honest, the price is under dealer prices but the work is quality of the dealership. I've had major service from brakes, water pump, struts and shocks, serpentine belt done at A1 and I'm very happy. They give me a plan and let me know what to expect.
