She played the "hematoma" card with my wife, as well, and went so far as to send her multiple texts in ALL CAPS, which scared my wife into thinking something was very wrong with our dog. She was so rattled that she called me, nearly in tears, worried that he had a serious medical issue. After being subjected to Hope's ranting and raving, we took our puppy to the veterinarian as she suggested, and they basically laughed in my wife's face and told us it was no big deal and simply trimmed his fur to address the situation. End of story. When it was time for our next appointment, we considered whether to take him to her again or to you someone else. I encouraged my wife to try Hope again. Stupid decision on my part. Although we thought it was impossible, she again sent my wife texts complaining about his matting and sending multiple pics (not sure why this was necessary because we know what our own dog looks like). The nail in the coffin was when my wife went to pick up our puppy and HOPE ACTUALLY TRIED TO HAND MY WIFE A BAG OF HIS FUR to prove how much fur she had to cut off due to the matting issue that she took such pleasure in pointing out. We will not be returning. It is not worth the mental anguish.

I was in a tough spot--I wasn't in a position to bring my dog with me and had a two-week vacation planned. I had already booked somewhere else, but after speaking with Tara on the phone, I was blown away by how kind and genuine she was. Then I met both her and Jack in person, and that sealed it for me. I canceled my original reservation without hesitation because this felt so much more personal, comfortable, and right for my dog. What really stood out to me is their experience with "reactive" dogs. That's not something every place can confidently handle, and it gave me so much peace of mind knowing my dog would be understood and cared for properly. They also clearly explained exactly how to handle drop-off on the day, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. My furbaby also got groomed during his stay and looked absolutely fabulous at the end of the two weeks! On top of that, I checked in on him twice while I was away, and they were always responsive and happy to update me on how he was doing--total peace of mind. I've read that some people say Tara can come across as rude, but I completely disagree! She isn't rude or condescending--she's just firm and direct, which makes perfect sense given that she's running a business. This isn't a typical 9-5 job either; it's truly her and her husband's lifestyle, and that level of structure and seriousness is exactly what makes them so good at what they do. If you're looking for a place where your dog will be safe, understood, and genuinely cared for, this is it. I wouldn't trust anyone else. Thank you so very much!

First of all, they wouldn't even let me go in with her -- which was horrifying. My little girl has been by my side for 14 years; she's never been without me. To imagine her scared, not feeling well, and taken away from me like that just broke my heart. After giving her the medication she needed, they sat us down and presented an outrageous estimate -- over $10,000 just to keep her alive. Before we even went, I had spoken with my regular vet. He told me exactly what to ask for and what my dog needed. He also specifically advised me never to leave any of my dogs overnight at a hospital unless it was absolutely crucial. I trusted his judgment -- and I knew in my heart my girl would be okay with the right care. But the emergency clinic tried to guilt and scare us, saying that if we didn't leave her there, she would die. Shame on them. It's devastating to see what so many of these vet hospitals are becoming -- businesses more focused on money than compassion. They take advantage of pet owners when we're at our most vulnerable, knowing how deeply we love our animals, and then pressure us into debt with fear tactics. It's disgusting and heartbreaking to see. Our pets deserve genuine care -- not manipulation. And pet owners deserve honesty and compassion, not financial exploitation in our moments of panic and pain.
