Aaliyah took a long time to blow dry her hair, but thought all was ok. When I went to check out they added $21 to the $59 bill because she has long hair. I thought $80 was very steep for this casual salon and junior stylist, but I paid it and left. At home I noticed my daughter's hair was completely uneven. Went back next day and manager tried to fix the haircut, but because it was cut so unevenly she would have had to cut maybe 4 more inches off to fix it, which she said would grow back in a month. I don't know anyone whose hair grows that fast. When I said my daughter was upset with me because she just wanted to get an inexpensive haircut at Supercuts, she laughed. My response was they could not have done a worse job than what we received at Hue. No refund or anything was offered and it seemed like we were laughed at. If they were able to fix it, a refund is not necessary, however if the haircut is unfixable a refund should be offered. Aaliyah was nice, but I don't feel like you can charge $80 for an obviously brand new stylist who can't trim straight hair.

I loved their new client form where it asked what I was looking for, what my budget was and to attach some pictures of my hair currently and what I wanted to accomplish. Based off my answers, they paired me with Layla. Layla was so sweet and really cared about what I wanted. She walked me through her thought process and answered any questions I had. They made me a latte, brought over a desk so I could work while I was there, and gave me a welcome gift. I absolutely loved how my hair color and cut turned out! I will definitely be back and am so happy I decided to try them out :)

I've been to many excellent stylist but at some point they always to seem give me the haircut that they want for me, NOT the haircut that I want. My hair is very tricky - it's thick and gets really puffy if layers and thinning aren't done properly. Carrie has mastered thinning my hair so that it's has a really smooth look. She has also introduced products that I could NEVER live without now. The hair oil (can't spell the brand) smells amazing and works amazing. My whole family, husband, son, and daughter are all hooked on it. She's also introduced dry hair shampoos that allow me to go several days between washings. It saves me a ton of time not blow drying and straightening every day. She's also got a very flexible schedule and I find it so much easier to schedule directly with her rather than a receptionist at a big salon. I could not imagine going back to a big salon now. Her salon at Sola is warm and personal.

My hair was getting out of control, so I searched high and low for someone who had good reviews that had done tape-ins before. That's where Jennifer came in. I emailed her in desperation telling her my situation and she got me in THE SAME WEEK, and she works late hours so you can actually schedule with her after work which I feel like never happens. So, scheduling with her was an enormous win - but the experience was even better. I left work and got there a little early, she got me right in and offered me champagne - which I guess I shouldn't have been surprised by given the name, but OH MY GOSH was it a nice surprise after a horrendously long day at work. Yes, please! She then worked on my hair and we chatted, she gave me some pointers on how to keep my hair extensions soft and healthy and she listened to exactly what I wanted.
