Madelyn is amazing and let tell you why. 2021 I had a Grand mal seizure and was in ICU for three weeks. I lost the majority of my hair due to EEGs and procedures trying to find the issues and why. I made an appointment with Madelyn who worked with me and has worked with me for now four years. Do not go to Heather!!!! OMG--Totally rude salon. I was treated very disrespectful! Heather just kept harrasing me. When I said just do my hair and be quiet. She said "NO" and in the middle of my hair being colored she quit so I had to leave the salon because she would not finish. I had to use my drinking water in the parking lot to get out the chemicals out of my hair. In all of my 74 years I have never been treated so bad. Be ware--If you go to Heather do not say anything that she does not like or she will stop in the middle of your color and just quit without finishing. Very disrespectful! BE WARE OF THIS SALON. It's been a while since I had someone take their time and actually explain to me the process of what she was doing .She also listened to what i wanted to achieve with my hair. And boy did she deliver!! As a mom of young children, my schedule is pretty busy. She took that into consideration and we went with something that was low maintenance. I have been coming to this location since 2022, and every single time I go, I have a great experience. I initially went to get a Deva Curl cut with Alexis, and she was super nice and awesome & explained the whole process to me and answered any and all of my questions. I have then gone back to get my hair dyed and styled. I did about 2 wedding hair updo trials as well with Alexis and Patty. They are both wonderful to work with, and each time, they would ask me what I envisioned it to look like, and they made it happen! My hair turned out beautiful for my wedding day, and I couldn't thank them enough! Whenever there was a scheduling conflict, they made aure to call and let me know. There was an issue when I arrived day of appmnt and unfortunately my hair stylist was a no-show, they offered to reschedule but I was about to have a melt down as it was the day of my bridal shower and they made it HAPPEN! 2 stylists did not hesitate to jump in and work on my hair. This is a great hair salon and very decent prices! Definitely recommend and will continue going here. They are located in a big shopping center so there are plenty of parking spaces to choose from. read more

I have been coming to Dolce Lusso for years and will continue to return because my stylist is freaking incredible (Hannah D). She is a color master and always makes me feel amazing when I leave. My husband sees Mitch and he also does a great job. My kids additionally come here. That being said, as much as we love the staff, the actual salon is not updated to the caliber of service the stylists offer. Between the barn doors and dropped ceiling, chipped paint and filthy baseboards, there is a huge disconnect. The chairs are cheap and uncomfortable (and wobbly) and it just feels outdated and cheap. The prices are appropriate for Charlotte but not for the way the salon feels. Please consider a light facelift and deep clean to help close this gap and elevate the experience for the customer. read more

I love my stylist and I would never complain to her ( as I am sure she is not in charge of facilities )- but the salon itself desperately needs a facelift and deep cleaning . Since Covid things have been slowly slipping. The floors and paint are peeling and terribly scuffed, the entire salon needs to be updated and fully cleaned- baseboards, lighting fixtures, bathrooms. Sometimes there is no water pressure to rinse. It does not feel like an elevated spa experience, but my stylist is amazing, so I will continue to go and hope management will consider this review as feedback. read more

Been here on several occasions and the experience has been great. Their staff and very courteous,polite and accommodating. I've had cuts from multiple stylists with mixed results. Overall, however, all been good. Great salon, updated and nice ambiance. Always feels clean and airy, and enjoying visiting. I'm sure this place is great if you have straight hair. Lots of people there who know how to properly cut for that type of hair. If you have curls and don't wanna look like you've got a mullet, look somewhere else. I'm normally a person who is very careful with picking a place to cut my hair since very few people know how to cut it. I called this place and they told me this girl had years of experience with curly hair (how could I dare to ask if their people had experience *sarcasm*). Low and behold, I see the girl cutting my hair and missing parts. I had to tell her myself what parts she had forgotten to cut to at least make my hair look even. I was so disappointed. Yet I wanted to think maybe it would look better when my hair dried. Benefit of the doubt. But it didn't. The parts that I had mentioned weren't cut short enough became 100 times more obvious. Ended up cutting it myself to make it look presentable. Next time, just tell me you only cut wavy hair :) read more

What a great salon! I've been looking for a salon like this for three years! They have great customer service (which has been hard to find) and I got a great haircut. Maria was fantastic! I was greeted warmly when I arrived. I brought my three kids with me; they were treated kindly too. We were all asked if we wanted something to drink. I sat on a cozy massage chair while I got my hair washed. I got a complimentary hand massage with great Aveda products...and after all of that, I got a great haircut! I didn't end up paying for my experience because I donated my hair to Locks of Love-- just left my stylist a tip. read more

I've always really liked this place, but today while my 9 year old was getting his hair cut, "S&M" by Rihanna came on and was completely unedited. You could see my son's face change completely when Rihanna repeatedly said "sex," and talked about chains and whips. Being reasonable, I know this wasn't something they had planned, so I walked up to the receptions and asked if they could possibly skip the song. They sort of giggled and playfully said, "we don't control the music." I understand they had no control but I wasn't amused with the amusement they obviously felt by my 9 year old hearing the song. Jasmine finally gave me the curly cut I've been wanting for the past 10 years. I have been asking stylist to give me a curly bangs cut but most are just too scared to or don't know how to. She fulfilled my request and beyond. It's by far the funnest curly cut and color I've ever had. The salon is very clean and nicely set up. Was very happy with my cut and color and couldn't beat the price. They were able to fit me in for an appointment with no problem. Color processing room (pic attached) was very cozy and my stylist didn't try to up-sell me any products which I was thankful for. They have super relaxing reclining shampoo chairs. I just wish the shampoo and rinse experience included a better scalp massage but overall was very impressed and will definitely be back! read more

Single process over 200 dollars. Shoulder length hair. Can get the same results from a 10 dollar box.

DO NOT GET A MANICURE or PEDICURE HERE! While my manicurist did a decent job, the facilities are terrible. The area is loud, cold, cave-like, there isn't even enough light to pick out the color of nail polish. Very uncomfortable area. Prices are high for what you get. I would never go here again for a spa service nor would I ever recommend to anyone going here. read more
