Right on third street promenade, the Moo BBQ has premium AYCE KBBQ! My husband noticed the quality of meat really stood out. It was not overly saturated with marinade and had a great balance after cooked on the grill! I personally really liked that there isn't a large portion of meat per plate because that way I can try more dishes or don't have to finish cooking it all when I am not ready! My pet leave at some kbbq restaurants is that they put so much of one meat that you can't really try a variety. The banchan was great but we focused in on the meat because we don't come to play! The kimchi fried rice was also so good! It was buttery and had great flavor. Also fun that they have corn tortillas to make tacos! Service was attentive and top notch! AYCE for 90 min with no limited rounds. They also change out the grill plates often. Parking was easy with the lot next door. And a bonus is not smelling like KBBQ after! It was well ventilated. A great option in the westside of LA if you don't want to drive all the way to Ktown. And a perfect date spot to enjoy Santa Monica and third street promenade! Only thing is I would love a rice paper option. Definitely check them out!

I visited this restaurant today for Korean BBQ, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. The biggest issue was the grill. The heat was very uneven. Some areas were extremely hot and burned the meat almost immediately, while other areas barely had any heat at all, making it impossible to cook the meat properly. It was very frustrating and seemed like there was something wrong with the grill. I informed one of the servers about the problem, and he told me to wait. While waiting, I briefly looked at the empty table next to us to see if their grill was working better. Instead of helping me, he spoke to me very rudely and said, "What are you doing? You need to wait for me." However, he didn't come back for quite a while. What bothered me even more was his attitude. He looked annoyed the entire time, spoke in an unfriendly tone, and never used basic polite expressions. His facial expression made me feel very uncomfortable. After that interaction, I completely lost my appetite. He was a Korean male staff member working near the front counter. After that, I honestly didn't even feel comfortable talking to him anymore because he always seemed upset and gave me unpleasant looks. Whenever I had a question, I preferred asking another male server, who appeared to be Mexican. He was friendly, polite, and willing to help. The difference in their attitudes was huge. Dining out is supposed to be an enjoyable experience, but instead I felt nervous every time I had to speak to this server, almost like I had to worry about his mood before asking for help. I hope the restaurant can improve both the condition of the grills and the customer service, because good food alone cannot make up for poor service.

It's not a bad option if you don't want to drive to K-town. This newly opened AYCE Korean BBQ is located at 3rd street promenade. Minuses: The steam egg had no flavor. They only let you order one order of short-ribs and rib-eye steak. Limted banchan - no rice wrapper. Pros: Spicy pork belly, beef bugolgi, pork bugogi, and salad were all yummy. The inside is new, clean and spacious. Decent service. Pro-tip: You can park at the mall for 90 minute free parking.

Let me start first by saying my rating of 4/5 is purely for the amazing and clean ambiance, and attentive and kind staff. When a grill change was needed, we were quickly given a fresh one. The waiter, Brandon, even brought out their radish kimchi for us to try and we loved it of course. Service and ambiance were SPOT ON. The quality and selection of the meats and the selection of sides offered is where my rating is probably a 2 out of 5. We tried a variety of their menu including the ribeye, marinated galbi, short ribs, beef brisket, spicy pork belly, and to be honest, and they all fell short. I've had my for share of korean bbq, from the most premium, to the most affordable, and I would rank this price wise towards the more premium in terms of AYCE (all you can eat) but meat selection and quality as 5/10. The flavors were a little bland, we would've loved to see richer marinades that would've ensured the meat retain the seasonings after grilling. One notable absence was our favorite - beef tongue! The banchan selection was also scarce compared to other kbbq, and we would have loved to have a dry salt offered as a condiment as well. I'm still extremely grateful for Moo for coming to the West Side and offering decent korean bbq. If you're a SoCal native, this probably will NOT satisfy your kbbq cravings my friend - you...like us, will be better off making the treck to K-town. If you're completely new to the ART that is KBBQ, Moo is a nice introduction. It's clean, the selection is OK, and you're greeted with a smile and prompt service.

Not feeling the drive to DTLA so found this one closer to home - It's Santa Monica so lots of public parking lots and street parking but always hit/miss on the street. Very friendly as we walked in and even asked us if we are familiar with KBBQ or AYCE style. Waiter laid it out pretty simply: 90-minute time limit 3 items from each menu side (main/appetizer/dessert) Can re-order whatever you want Huge fan of the ban ban usually available at KBBQ, but only a few options here but still very tasty The portions offered are small, but who cares as you can keep ordering and you can try everything. Dipping sauces were great especially with their gyoza They had all the usual meats and liked all of them - spicy pork belly, beef bulgogi, short rib and more - all seasoned/marinated well and tender Still spent a decent amount of money (about $50/person) but saved time and gas so that's life in Los Angeles... Quick tip - the seafood was really the only miss of the night but sort of expected at AYCE

so glad there is finally an AYCE KBBQ place in santa monica! Got to go to the opening night and had a fantastic experience. The service was excellent, especially our server Leslie! Glasses were always filled, grills always replaced, always checked in to put more food orders in. All the food was delicious. Personal favorites were the ribeye, short rib, pork bulgogi, and the kimchi fried rice! the steamed egg was also great! We ordered tortillas as a side to be able to make tacos with the meat, which was such a unique and fun idea! Overall had a really great dinner and will absolutely be coming back to try more items on the menu!

Top notch service and sooo many yummy options to choose from. Literally something for everyone and we definitely got our monies worth! The manager Nelson helped secure a table for our large group in advance and was just the nicest guy ever. Highly recommend for a fun shared experience for a big group!

We got in a bit late with only 30 minutes before their kitchen closed and were ravished with hunger. The Moo staff was excellent and took good care of us, brought us amazing food with a smile and were quick to bring us everything! Serious emphasis on the service because it was unreal and we were stuffed. Vibe was great, good groovy music. Price was reasonable with how much food you can eat, and we only had an hour and thought that was plenty :) What more could you want!

Came for KBBQ, left with zero regrets (and somehow zero smoke smell ) The ribeye was insanely soft, and the galbi was a standout -- really good quality with a great meat-to-fat ratio (not the usual overly fatty cuts you sometimes get). It ended up being pretty family-friendly too, with fries, tots, and karaage, plus sides like fresh kimchi and a surprisingly good potato salad (toddler loved it). The meats were a hit as well. The grill setup was a nice touch -- there's a built-in fan that pulls the smoke down, so you don't leave smelling like BBQ. Service really stood out. The servers were kind, helped cook the meat, and showed us the best way to prepare it. Definitely coming back.

I recently visited The Moo BBQ in Santa Monica. I was craving Korean food but honestly didn't have the energy to drive all the way to K-Town. So I was pretty surprised (and excited) to find a K-BBQ spot on the Westside. From the outside, it looked pretty legit. I was even more surprised to find out it's all-you-can-eat. As a Korean, I'll be honest--I didn't expect much at first. But I was wrong. The vibe inside was great, service was fast and attentive, and the food came out quickly. All side dishes were delicious. The most importantly, the meat quality was actually solid. It really felt like a proper K-BBQ experience. If you're on the Westside and craving Korean food, I'd definitely recommend checking this place out. So glad we finally have a good K-BBQ spot out here.

It was our first time here. The place looks brand new, clean and everything is well kept. When we were at the reception the front desk tried to help us by explaining how the menu works, but the phone rang and he had to answer it as he should and we completely understand it. Daniel gladly hopped in and explain to us how the eat-all-you-can works. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The portions per plate were perfect not too overwhelming and not so little, just enough for you to enjoy & finish so you can order or try more from the menu. I only eat chicken and seafood while my partner loves red meats. I appreciate that they made and effort, making sure the proteins went out the same time so we both can eat at the same time. I also appreciate Esther checking with the kitchen to make sure there's no meat on the kimchi fried rice and japchae. We like the grill that they use very much. There's wholes on the side of it which sucks the smoke in before it goes up so we went out of the restaurant not smelling like bbq. There's no loud and big vent on top of our head. The music is perfect, I feel like this is the first time my partner and I had a proper conversation while eating kbbq with no loud vent or music and smoke on our faces. lol There's a lot of paid parking around the restaurant and it's only 10-15minute walk to the pier. So you can walk to move the food down and make space for funnel cakes! Heheheh Thank you again! Too bad I didn't get to take proper pictures.

What seemed like a deceptively simple bowl was one of the most delicious and flavorful meals I've had - I'll be thinking about my bowl for a long time. I got the plain kalgaksu, mainly because it included pork potstickers. The anchovy broth isn't fishy (which I was concerned about), it's deep and full in a way that's hard to describe. It penetrates the noodles and potatoes well. The broth is similar if not the same between most bowl types. The cold noodles were also delicious, which a couple of my friends ordered. Quite large portions, as just about everyone had to take some home. They also have bibimbap if you're craving a rice based meal instead. I can't wait to come back - maybe not on a Saturday night next time so I don't have to look so long for parking!
