You know when you just needed something that felt like a taste of home cooking? That's what you get with Noodle St. I was looking for something new to try on delivery and this place has been on my list and been getting great reviews for awhile so I decided to check out their beef Taiwanese noodle soup and it did not disappoint. The way the food was prepared and made you can tell it's done with a lot of care, attention and love so I imagine the service in the restaurant is just as high. Everything packaged in my delivery was so nice, from the utensils pack with the soup spoon and chopsticks to even the sauces, with the chili sauce leaving just enough room to pour in the pack of black vinegar so it doesn't spill over - that is the attention to detail that you don't get with other places. The way my soup came was separate- my noodles and beef were separated from the broth (which came nice at a warm temperature because of the insulated bag that is reusable!). I really enjoyed the flavors of the broth and the hand cut noodles, really comforting and just what I needed. We don't get a lot of that around here with chain restaurants and at these prices but Noodle St is really worth it. You'll be full without feeling heavy or hungry and very satisfied. Looking for a lunch spot before heading back to OC. Found this restaurant close to the Federal Building in LA. Upon entering, we were greeted and seated right away. The inside was clean, well-spaced table seating, and bustling with customers. Our wait staff were friendly, helpful, polite and attentive. Knowledgeable with the menu and made suggestions for us to order. Food came out quickly-no more than 10 mins wait. Very tasty, and delicious. The portions were generous enough for two people to share and more than enough (we even had leftovers to take home). Only realized that we were only a stone's throw away to UCLA in Westwood Village. I've eaten here in person and also ordered on DoorDash. The delivery experience was great! It was fast and the food came in a temp controlled bag. The noodles came separately from the broth so it didn't become soggy. Everything was still piping hot when it arrived. I ordered the braised chicken noodles and substituted thin noodles instead of the standard issue knife cut noodles. It's a personal preference. I don't like noodles that are too thick and doughy. He got the signature beef noodle soup, and I got the spicy beef with tender noodle (We both got the knife-cut noodles, so chewyyy) Mine said spicy, but honestly it was not spicy at all. My boyfriend can barely handle spice and he kept stealing spoonfuls of my soup because he liked it so much LOL Lately I've been trying to eat dishes how the chef meant for them to be eaten instead of picking everything apart like I usually do. I'm kind of picky, so I almost didn't try the kale because I'm not really a vegetable person, but once I did, it actually made everything better. I feel like when I stopped overthinking and just ate it all together, I started enjoying food way more. The best bites were when I'd sip the broth first, then eat some kale, then beef, then noodles. Literally so goodddd! I recently discovered tendon too, and now I'm a BIG fan. They gave me a really good piece and the texture was so satisfying. The place looks very bright and clean, the open seating and windows to the kitchen feel very modern like other Asian restaurants such as ding tai fun. We were seated and I really wanted to try their signature dishes but unfortunately spice level cannot be modified...I cannot handle spice and the beef noodle soup was all spicy...so I decided on the knife cut noodles, which I ordered for the stir fry beef noodles. I was a group of coworkers so they each ordered something. I think what I saw as a great dish was the crispy fried tofu, it was very good, wish I go that dish! My dish came out last, it was very good, i did taste ginger so i had to be cautious as I do not like ginger. I still ate it but avoided any small ginger just in case but still got some. While we were strolling through Westwood Village looking for a place to dine, a brand spanking new restaurant on Weyburn caught our eyes. So we decided to check it out. It was a newly opened Chinese noodle spot. The seating arrangements of tables and booths could accommodate 60+ guests. The friendly staff led us to our table and brought the water right away. After browsing through the menu, we ordered the following items (we don't know how they did it, but first hot dish arrived in less than 5 minutes): Bone in Rib Rice Noodle: The noodle portion was generous, and they were nicely al dente. The bone broth was clear and light but savory. The rib meat was fall-of-the-bone tender. Chicken Stir Fried Knife Cut Noodle: The dark color sauce was quite flavorful and a tad sweet. The knife cut noodles were pleasantly firm. The carrot threads and green pepper went well with the soft chicken pieces. Beef Roll Pancake: Thinly sliced beef was paired with green onions and cilantro, then dressed with flavorful and slightly sweet Hoisin sauce, and all bundled together with beautifully crispy outer wrap. I've been to Noodle St. twice now and have enjoyed both visits. The first time I ordered the noodles with minced beef sauce, and the second time I tried the beef slices cold noodle. Both were pretty good, and you could definitely tell the noodles were made fresh that day. I was really impressed with this spot today. I stopped by for lunch, cause I heard some good things from a friend. After a 5 minute wait I was sat at a table by a nice waiter, who was happy to tell me about their best sellers. One of the bestsellers was being consumed at a table next to me by a patron and as soon as I saw it, I just had to have it. I went with Savory Braised Chicken Noodle entree and it's probably one of the largest entrees I was ever served in a restaurant setting. The entree was just massive and I honestly wasn't sure if I'd finish it, but I did....I did. The noodles were delicious, served with a few pieces of potatoes and peppers, soaked with savory, flavorful broth and overloaded in a good way, with extremely yummy chicken pieces. Each ingredient of the entree tasted very fresh, tender and juicy and the entree just hit all the right flavor notes of a phenomenal meal. I'm still in Awe of their portion size. Okay, this place exceeded expectations. I was waffling between a 4 and 5 here, but I'm going to go with a 5. First, the staff was phenomenal. Everyone was so kind, patient and personable. Second, the the place was brand spanking new and spotless, having been open for just around 3-4 months. And lastly, the food hit the spot, cozy and comfy. I went with two options today for lunch: Spicy Beef Noodle Soup with knife cut noodles and the Scallion Pancakes. The Scallion Pancakes - absolutely get them. Do not walk. Run. Those were by far some of the best I've had - 10/10, no notes. They were so warm, crunchy and didn't taste oily at all. I shouldn't have finished the entire plate myself, but whelp, here I am! As for the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup, it was above average and while not the best I've had, I would totally go back again. I was skeptical at first, as I didn't expect to find a solid bowl in West LA, but Noodle St proved me wrong. While the broth was hovering between average to above average (not exceptional), the beef was top tier. They were also generous with the beef portions and everything tasted flavorful and tenderized. I ordered in Noodle St through Postmates tonight, and I really enjoyed my order! I got the beef stir-fry noodles, the chicken spicy wontons, and the scallion pancake. I ordered the stir-fry at the Pasadena location last time, and it was delicious! I was a bit disappointed with this one, as it felt like the sauce was lacking. I added some of the sauce from the wontons and that definitely helped, but this was the one dish I wish would have had more flavor. The wontons were absolutely delicious! The sauce wasn't TOO spicy, the wontons were filling and fairly large. I loved these! The scallion pancake was so so good, but I would have loved a side of sauce to dip them in. I again used the wontons sauce to dip, and it was very yummy. I love when a side of something is brought out with a scallion pancake - it makes the pancake much less dry! I've been here a number of times for lunch. They specialize in the spicy beef noodle soup. I tried the (not spicy) beef noodle soup and it was way too underseasoned for me. Their noodles are amazing. They are handmade, in house, fresh. I personally like the thick cut noodles. If you want a drink I would recommend their watermelon drink. I'm not a huge fan of sweet drinks but it's decent if you like watermelon! I once ordered a milk tea and it came out with visible curds in it... I couldn't drink it. Rather new location in the heart of Westwood. After all, my mom makes it, I make it at home, and my aunt in Taiwan owned a beef noodle soup restaurant. It's rare that I try one in the United States that wows me, but the spicy beef noodle soup from Noodle St definitely has me itching for more! We've been to the Pasadena location a few times, but this was our first time at the Westwood location. I thought it was already pretty good before but the spicy beef noodle soup was piping hot and tasted so good when we dined in. Knife cut noodles are the way to go and they had the perfect chew -- we kept eating even as we were full. The meat was tender and just fell apart. Good amount of veggies in the soup to make it hearty and filling. Ordered the beef rolls but we didn't even get to them since we were full from the noodles so they were a good lunch the next day! We went on the first week of January 2026, and it was raining. Perfect for eating noodles! We ordered the following: Spicy Beef Noodle Signature Beef Noodle Potato String Shrimp Scallion Pancake Spicy beef noodle is top notch!! I finished it right away, the scallion pancake is something I would also come back for! The potato string shrimp is okay though! Just not my type of way to eat shrimp The service is pretty great too!! He would come and refill our waters and even gave us extra napkins without having to ask.
