Ok just went there and I wanted to do a re-review. Last weekend had a friend bear hug me, he popped a rib or something and I was in excrutiating pain all weekend till tuesday....finally, I thought it wld heal itself. It did not !! I went to see Dr. Zach. He thoroughly waited as I painfully gotnon the table and slowly turned due to the sharp side pains I was experiencing. Long story short, he got to the specific point where my rib was off, and to my shigrin, he popped it back !! It was a WHOA moment. It hurt sharply, but, also relieve the pain. I am now back. I got an "emergency adjustment" down in SD from a chain chiropractor- and I have never been so thankful for Dr.Zac in my whole life. The adjustment I received from them was borderline VIOLENT. You must come if you want to be well taken care of! Dr. Ryan and Ashley are so awesome. A husband and wife team chiropractic office. Kudos to them both for dealing with me and my adjustments! Ashley is the sweetest working the front desk and welcoming you in with a smile and great conversation. My first appointment was an assessment where Ashley completed a scan of my back in order to tell me something along the lines of which nerves were being worked and/or overworked. It was interesting to see this scan and see how it correlated to the then discomfort I was feeling. Several adjustments later with Dr. Ryan and I am feeling wonderful. As a marathon runner, the "normal" pains in my left knee are minimal, as a hygienist my neck, back and shoulder discomfort has lessened and I feel myself really focusing on my ergonomics more often. The Movement Chiropractic is going to bring so much compassion, knowledge, and energy to the Benicia community. I have been here a few times now for adjustments and the practice is warm, inviting and clean with such friendly staff. And if you're lucky, their sweet daughter Charlie will also be there to greet you. I've been to other chiropractic offices where the décor and staff make you not want to return, but this is the complete opposite. Dr. Ryan is thorough with his examinations, without keeping you there for a long period of time. He is very easy to talk to about what pain you're experiencing, and always has a solution even if you think an adjustment may not help. For example, my feet and ankles have really been bothering me, and Dr. Ryan knew right away that I likely have tendonitis and was able to relieve some pressure immediately. He also gave me some exercises and stretches to do at home to help in between my adjustments. If you're in need of a new chiropractor, The Movement is definitely a place to check out. Ok I'll be honest here, I was really scared when I first showed up here a couple of weeks ago. I threw out my back so bad that I'm pretty sure I looked like a corkscrew, I was BARELY walking when I entered this place. Over a very short period of time....I was able to go from what felt like a cripple to walking, bending and able to go back to work at the hospital. At my assessment appointment we went over my health history, in depth, and they did initial scans to see which areas needed attention if any at all.
