I'd only been to a chiropractor once, about 10 years ago and didn't get much out of it. I decided to give it another try to help with my new sciatica problem and wow. I was very skeptical about the activator tool. It doesn't really feel like it is doing much during the session, but afterwards it definitely made a difference. For my next appointment, I asked for a manual adjustment, and that seemed to work, as well. I think I am a believer, now. I also appreciated no upsell to try and get me to book regular appointments. These people are some of the greatest people I've met in this field from being processed through their system just to how warm the environment is and I loved the fish in the Tank. I would definitely recommend Dr Kunsman, he is very good. I started with a lot of pain on my shoulders and lower back, limited range of motion. Now I am back to what I used to be. Staff is friendly & the work here is awesome. You can get adjusted along with some deep tissue work with a massage therapist. I just moved to Vallejo so I've been exploring my options and found Vallejo chiropractic perfect for my needs. I get my adjustments & massage. Note: massages can only be 30 min max in office but I was told you can contact the massage therapist for any longer sessions outside the office. Dr.Jamie saw me the same day I called and made an appointment. They were low and staff but still squeezed me in and took care of me. Marie Jo Graziadei is the first massage therapist in this office I've experienced and she is freaking awesome! As I'm writing this review I just saw her for my 2nd session and she got right down to the tightness of my body in just 30 minutes. Looking forward to trying out all the massage therapist here so I have options in case someone isn't available. read more

My husband and I were not very impressed. Although very nice and knowledgeable, Dr. Kunsman was very brief with us. All he did was take this air pressure tool called "The Activator" and press on different parts of my back. When he was done he asked me how I felt and I said "the same." He then said that sometimes it takes a while to feel the results. No adjustment offered. I have never been to a chiropractor that did not do an adjustment. My husband had the same experience during his visit with Dr. Kunsman that same day. We later called back after leaving and requested an adjustment, which we later received. read more

My femur was painfully lodged too deep into my hip socket. I thought I'd live with the dull ache forever. Nope!! Although they provide average chiropractic services, I would not recommend this establishment. After paying for the adjustment, they asked for an additional charge for consultation, which I find unacceptable. Enterprises that try to collect payments after service has been rendered without proper notification are not trustworthy. To sum up, I was charged upfront for the service, only to be asked for more payment without prior verbal notification of additional charges. I give them two stars because they need to improve their business ethics. Although the doctors are good, their business practices are poor. read more

We take on so much in our daily lives that we often forget to take care of ourselves. Visiting the chiropractor is something you should do at least ONCE just to stop and "check in with yourself" as you get a little older. You know, after you've had all your babies or maybe after you've finished playing contact spots on the weekend with the guys..you should maybe just get your back aligned or adjusted just to get the kinks out and make it a little easier to get outta bed in the morning. If you're looking for a place to go, this is the practice to come to. I'd hardly call it a practice as they've pretty much got it down to an art. Dr. Harrington is an outstanding chiropractor and he's funny so he's going to make you feel very comfortable while you're in his care. He's got an amazing "bed side manner" so you don't feel like you're being treated like a dollar sign when you walk in. The staff has a general interest in you and your reason for visiting and wants you to feel comfortable with them until you're seen. The new location is very warm and inviting. It's quiet and peaceful inside. And if you are familiar with the Doctors, yes, the fish are still there! Please take care of yourself and please do come check them out. And then schedule a 30 minute massage with one of their massage techs. It sounds really expensive, I know, but in all honesty, it's affordable. I don't know if you can post prices on here or if that's against policy, but I would suggest you call and ask about their packages. It's really worth looking into. Just because I for one do NOT like pain medication and do NOT like back pain. But I do like a good chiropractor. And I found one! And he's here at Vallejo Chiropractic! read more

First time ever seeing a chiropractor and I'm so happy it was here! I had a baby 7 months ago and had a ton of pain in my left lower back. *also keep in mind I told them I was coming with NO insurance, I was unaware they accepted Kaiser until I asked afterwards* Upon arriving I had a new patient appointment. Somehow the appointment was lost (no worries stuff happens with technology all the time) but they still saw me right away! He made me feel so comfortable! He explained everything he was going to do and even brought in the receptionist to show me each thing he would be doing and what he would be looking for. I was there for maybe 30 mins. I felt amazing when I left, sore after an hour but I fell asleep so easily that night. I can't wait for my next appointment! Everyone I met there was super helpful and friendly. And I found out they see Kaiser members! They were very up front and informative about how they see their Kaiser patients, so id call ahead first for more information. 10/10 recommend, this is where I will be going for my chiropractor needs! read more

I honestly love coming to this office and the care I get when I do! I was in a minor car accident a couple years ago and had thought the soreness I started feeling a few days later would simply go away. Obviously, I was in denial about the fact that I'm not in my 20's anymore and my body needs a little more help to heal than it did then. With that said, I sought out a chiropractic office that had availability and good reviews that I could try. I had tried seeing a chiropractor once about 8 years ago but didn't get much benefit out of it and didn't really see the value at the time. I'm glad to report that this office has since changed my mind! Between the wonderful chiropractic doctors and the amazing massage therapists, there were no lasting issues from the car accident but I also no longer have certain pains that I had suffered for over a decade. I see Dr. Kunsman (chiro) and Beau (massage therapist) regularly but I've also worked with Dr. Harrington (chiro) and Shanon (massage therapist) before as well. I was looking for a new highly recommended local chiropractor since my back was jammed up. I have been to many chiropractors over the years in various cities where I have lived and I needed a local chiropractor. I had been to another Chiropractor here in Vallejo and it was NOT a good experience at all. Last week I went thru all of the yelp reviews and choose Dr. Kunsman at Vallejo Chiropractic. Arriving at his location I was greeted by a very friendly staff after paperwork, I met with Dr. James Kunsman and explained my situation and history. I felt a great bond with him discussing things and his pleasant personality. Dr. Kunsman adjusted my problem areas thru various techniques and I was feeling almost instant relief. I did get a massage which was very nice addition. It has been a week now and I feel great! My since appreciation goes out to Dr. Kunsman and the staff at Vallejo Chiropractic! A+ !! read more

This review doesn't reflect all doctors at this business location. Visited Vallejo Chiropractic after a long break from seeing Dr K in American Canyon Chiropractic. They are in network with my medical insurance. I scheduled a massage therapy appt offered in Vallejo only. To start treatment with this service, it's mandatory to get an assessment review from a doctor. When I was assessed, I mentioned I've been a patient before, treated by Dr K. She asked me if I would like an adjustment as well and I agreed. After the treatments were done, I found out I was charged full price for the chiro adjustment instead of my normal co-pay. This is a $26 difference. I questioned this and was told the Dr is out of network and the charges stand. They would not request or credit me for misleading me. This is not all about the money but best business practices. I cancelled my future appts and will NEVER return to this business again. Let me ask this question? Have you ever gone to the hospital to receive pre-scheduled services and then find out later you have a unexpected large bill for "out of network" doctor fees?? Of course they will not notify you beforehand. Be an advocate for yourself. read more

I don't recommend coming here. 1. They don't like Kaiser patients as it makes it harder for them to get paid. 2. If you're on the heavier side, they'll tend not to do adjustments as they don't want to go through the work of moving ya around. Also felt judgment, so that's not cool. 3. There's no warmth. The office wasn't warm or friendly. I tried to be friendly and joke around but there was no jive. 4. I didn't feel that they were even interested in my health. No push for a follow up appointment. I'm brand new to getting chiropractic treatment and had seen someone else prior to Vallejo Chiropractic. The chiropractor there was sketch, had an awkward personality, and tried to get me to commit to some $600 package prior to having had any adjustments to begin with. Sure mate, let me just get that cash out of my bum for ya. I went here afterwards and my experience was exponentially better. Their prices are competitive compared to other places I looked at. Even the receptionist I spoke to on the phone was very nice and informative. She made the effort to look up my insurance information, even though I was pretty sure my insurance doesn't cover it. I was interested in their first time client special that consisted of two sessions. However, she even told me to hold off the thought until I actually come in as I may only need one adjustment, so it may end up being excessive to pay for two. I saw Dr. Kunsman and he's a G. He was very personable, asked about my studies, my dog, and didn't try to pull any upsell; told me to see how I felt after the adjustments first. He was also mindful of my student status through our casual conversations and gave me information on their special low-cost clinic times, where they offer $15 adjustments, which is MUCH appreciated. After my first adjustment I noticed results where I woke up feeling better. I knew my sleeps were deeper since I was dreaming way more. My second visit also consisted of a short targeted massage that felt really nice and I'll have to look into booking a full massage appointment sometime. Having suffered from back pain for years it was a treat to be invited in by Dr. Kunsman to get examined. I took advantage and after a thorough examination and explanation of possible causes, options, I received my first treatment today. The ankle adjustment alone is something I wish that the last few chiropractors had even considered an option as I have been walking on a cloud all day since. His spring loaded actuator device is damn useful and really loosened up my back I look forward to my next treatment to see if I can correct some issues that have been caused by a lifetime of harsh living. I was pleased to see a New Patient package for 95.00 that got me two treatments and a 30 minute massage... Well worth it. Also am considering taking advantage of his year's worth of unlimited treatment for 1000 bux.... an amazing deal, but let's see how my back reacts before I jump in with both feet. SPEECHLESS!! (in an awesome way) I threw out my lower back 2 days ago and was in really bad pain. I have a big run coming up this weekend and was afraid I wouldn't be able to participate. I tried rolling, stretches, ice and nothing. I have never seen a chiropractor, primarily because I thought any injury/pain can work itself out and it would cost a lot of money. Let me tell you, its WORTH EVERY PENNY, and it didn't even cost a lot, very affordable rates. I called in and was able to come in same day. I was apprehensive on my first visit a couple of years ago. Dr. Harrington put those worries to rest with attentive care and great skill. He is qualified both with hand manipulations and the activator tool, which is my preference. Awesome massage staff, my favorites are Shannon and Tracy. I believe the session model used in this office is unique, where massage therapist pinpoints areas and the chiropractor comes in, working with the massage therapist on the exact issues. My time in this office has been incredibly beneficial to my health and I am grateful for their expertise! I look forward to every visit. Wow! I have never been to a chiropractor before and I had no idea what to expect, but I am sure glad that I decided to go to Vallejo Chiropractic. I had injured my low back 2 and a half weeks prior to going. It was the stupidest little thing that I never thought possible that caused my injury, but my condition was very serious. I could hardly walk, get dressed, or get in or out of bed. Dr. Kunsman and Dr. Harrington both worked on me. I was very impressed with how knowledgeable they were in their field as well as how much concern they had for my situation. Within a couple of visits I was well on my way to recovery. I called Vallejo Chiropractic just this morning to see if I could come in for an emergency visit. My sciatic nerve was flaring and I was in excruciating pain, and could only come in today because I am leaving for vacation tomorrow. Although it was last minute, they were able to get me in right away. The receptionist, (unfortunately I cant remember her name) was exceptional and efficient, and the whole place was spotless. I saw Dr. Zach and felt comfortable immediately. He spent at least 30 minutes adjusting me and explaining what he was doing and why. I was very impressed and thankful that he took the time to try to help me as much as he could, given he only had one day and one session before I leave for a month.
