Had a friend playing in Cinderella here, so got a chance to experience the quaint regional theater…read more I don't think I would have known this place existed if it wasn't for this play. The theater itself is pretty small, seems to seat about 200(ish). There is some seating that is in a balcony and there are some stairs. All in all, it was a fun space to see a play and will definitely be on the lookout for more performances in the future.

Their productions are top-notch and their actors with their singing abilities is something quite remarkable. Check-in is quick and easy and seating in the theater is comfortable. Free parking across the street in a lot is convenient and easy to enter and exit. Restaurants and bars in the area are plentiful and varied for before and/or after enjoyment of food and drink.

Hi! I took one…read moreof my daughters to the Historic Mounds Dinner Theater all night pajama party a couple of nights ago, and we had such a great time! The paranormal team there was very warm and friendly as well as accomodating (Thank you, Lisa, especially!) We experienced lots of scary moments, and the activities held our interest as well as our enthusiasm. We especially enjoyed the ghost hunt and investigation! I so appreciate the good time that the staff there showed my daughter. She said she still can't stop talking about it; said she's obsessed with it now, and tells everyone all about our night there! We're both looking so forward to doing it again and my daughter, Christy said, "And next time I won't be so scared! I'll be able to keep my eyes open through the whole thing!" (She's so adorable.) My husband and I had been to the theater back in October on a ghost tour and we, too, had so much fun there together! In addition to that, we attended the Twin Cities Gangs History movie there; we enjoyed it immensely! There's not only the paranormal part of the theater activities, but there is an incredible amount of history there to be enjoyed, and appreciated. Seems a missed opportunity for revenue. I know we would have imbibed beyond the first round we bought ourselves on the way in. Then there was the show, "Hypocralypse Now", which was amusing in spots but never exceeded expectations. Good, not great. I would compare the place to Second City in Chicago, in terms of ambiance and atmosphere, and Second City doesn't always hit a home run either. This was fun, and we loved all the taunts of the current vile administration, but perhaps MAGA is too easy a target.

The talented and creative actors made it easy, giving their all to the audience in song, dance, costume ... you name it and they brought it. The theater is on Hennepin Avenue, a black room with seats and tables surrounding the stage. There is an elevator, a large staircase bathrooms for men and women, and a small bar before you enter the theater. A lovely space for a show and relatively easy to navigate for food, parking, etc., even with a stroller (this is NOT a kids' show) or a person using a walker or wheelchair.

I came in for a Theatre Elision production and I was STUNNED by the quality. They put on "Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812" and it was one of the best music-theater shows I have ever seen. And my credentials in that area are extremely respectable, if I do say so myself. As a venue for theater, this space is small but capable. The lobby has enough table seating in front of an elevated stage that at first I assumed that's where the show was going to take place. But no, the actual theater has all the trappings that a real company would expect, in a semi-black-box auditorium that allows flexibility. There is a selection of beer and wine, and not much else at the little concession counter. The production I saw was so good that I will talk about it with friends for the rest of my life. Super polished, extremely high level of musicianship, and an infectious energy level to match. Theatre Elision did such a remarkable job with this show that I will probably make the drive from St Paul to Crystal regularly for the foreseeable future to see what they do next.

The lobby area is a quaint space with various seating options along with a bar from which to enjoy a beverage. The productions seem to be smaller cast productions with an intimate audience/actor experience. Seating was decent as there are armless chairs in the front and back row, with traditional armed theatre chairs for the smaller/regular sized folk. The talent was great as was the production. There was plenty of parking around the building.

Jeremy Bode's performance of Raskolnikov was spectacular! Mr. Bode was able to draw you into the mind of Raskolnikov, along with his pride, loneliness, and anguish. Great job, Mr. Bode! We were all affected by your performance. The theater has just the right size and seating to immerse the audience into the play. You can easily see the actors' facial expressions and the humanity of the characters they are portraying. This is my second year as a season ticket holder and CORE member. The park & amphitheater are west of the Brooklyn Center Community Center, just north of Brooklyn Center Library & Government Center. It's on the Shingle Creek Regional Trail, which runs near the Shingle Creek. Two large paved free parking lots are available. There's a little bit of something for everyone: Trails, ball fields, playground, picnics, mature trees to relax under-maybe catch a performance on the amphitheater stage (Tuesday evenings during the summer-check their site for times & performers).
