Jesilyn transitioned me from Dip to Builder in a Bottle (BIAB), SO much better for my nails, and VERY durable. THEN my most recent visit I started getting my feet done by Cassie (because baby they needed WORK), and she helped me come up with a game plan for how we can improve them, and gave me the BEST heel care I've ever gotten. Caneshia did such a great job with my nails! I was greeted when I arrived and immediately seated to prepare for my acrylic soak off. She was very timely and also did some education to teach me about my nails. The music was great and it was very clean and sterilized. First time here and I chose this place based on the reviews. To say I was highly disappointed is an understatement. When you walk in there is no waiting area for your to sit, so if the previous appointment is not complete, you just have to stand there. My nail technician didn't even greet me- she just point to a chair and was like over there. She barely spoke to me while I got my pedicure done. She did not ask me any qualifying questions. In fact, I had to stop her because I watched her open a box of latex gloves and I am allergic to latex. And guess what- the salon was out of latex free gloves. But I can be flexible, let's make a plan and figure it out. My disappointment came when before I booked my appointment, there is a huge questionnaire to fill out and asks you if this is for a special event, do you have concerns, etc. well I put that this was for my baby shower and I would like help figuring out a nail design that worked well. NONE OF IT WAS READ BECAUSE MY TECHNICIAN DIDNT EVEN REALIZE I WAS PREGNANT until literally after she finished my manicure and painted my nails. To which her reply was, haha j probably shouldn't have massaged you legs since you are pregnant. I was over it at the point where she told me to pick a color, did not follow my request to help me, and I picked this color. Now the bottle is called purple flower, so I was expecting it to be a nice purple. Nope- that's pink. And the technician was like oh that dried a lot lighter than a purple, huh! Cherry on top is less than 2 hours later, one of my nails has already peeled. I am so furious! That is $40 down the drain for mediocre service at a place that had really high ratings. Maybe I picked the wrong technician, but I know I will not be going back. Additionally, in terms of COVID precautions- there are none. My technician didn't wear her mask correctly the entire appointment, no one had gloves on and even if they did they aren't latex free (beware), no equal sitting room, no hand sanitizer, and there were atleast three appointments for other techs that came in and there was no sanitizing between. The only reason this place isn't getting 1 star rating is because my pedicure (despite it being rushed) turned out nice. Now I have to figure out how to remove $40 worth of gel nail polish before my baby shower tomorrow. read more

I'm amazed!!! Let me start off by sharing that I'm a fanatic as it pertains to nail care. My selection of nail shops are important to me. Often times I have had bad experiences here in the city a a number of nail shops. Many different reasons: the hygiene, poor selection of colors, roughness, speedy half done jobs, rushed, or the tech is pushy or impatient, or inconsiderate with my time, etc etc. I took this recent opportunity to truly seek out someone that would fulfill all of my needs. THE NAIL DEN showed up on my timeline & I got to investigating it heavily!!! Booked an appointment & I won't ever look back!!! Best decision I've made!!! Jesilyn was PHENOMENAL from start to finish. This place tends to catch you a bit off guard. The person doing my girlfriend's nails kept getting upset with her since she has really long fingers and the UV light used to cure the gel nail polish was not deep enough for her. After a bit of frustration we found a workaround, but please stop blaming a person because they fall outside what you consider "the norm" as far as body proportions are concerned the comments by the nail tech left her quite upset. read more

I enjoyed my experience at the nail den. As I entered the nail salon I was greeted with smiling faces and hellos that welcomed me. I received a deluxe pedicure and I was pleased with the service. I expected my nail tech to scrub my feet a little more and massage them a little harder but overall she did a good job. I didnt feel like she was rushing... She definitely took her time which is rare when you go to the nail salon. They have sample colors to choose from but there are more color options on the walls. After taking my time to decide on a color, I finally chose a pretty blue and I love it. She paid attention to detail while polishing my toes and took the time to remove any polish that may have gotten on my skin. At the end of the service, she gave me the tools she used to do my pedicure which includes a nail file, a foot scrubber and a buffer. Please give the nail den a try... you won't be disappointed. read more
