Made an appt and still waited for over an hour to be helped and then when we finally started to get helped because some man aggressively complained that he had waited half the time we did, they stopped helping us to help them. Don't schedule appts if you can't help people in a reasonable amount of time. We also didn't get half of what we were charged for. I don't treat myself to a pedicure very often but today I needed to clean up my toes for a wedding. i made an appointment and arrived a few minutes early. I picked my color and was escorted to a chair and was asked to put my feet in the water and relax. it took 10 minutes for anyone to start by then the water was cold. the lady helping me was pulled away many times to help others which I think really affected her attention to what she was doing and she rushed through my pedicure process. normally it is so relaxing. this salon is working their employees too hard. too many distractions which affects their performance. read more

Wow, this place is a gem. It has a cute front desk that is secluded from the nail areas to provided privacy. The pedicure chairs are separate from the manicure tables and both areas have tvs that show flowers and birds flying... to add to the peaceful essence, pianos and calming violins are playing on the speakers. Unfortunately - this place is low on my list these days. They keep over-booking and keep me soaking so long the water turns cold - which is unacceptable. I make an appointment for a reason. If I wanted to wait 20 minutes after my appointment I would go to Covington Nails. Customer service is a lost art these days in general - but it's disappointing to find my once favorite pedi salon has joined the ranks of the greedy. I'm sorry but this place was bad. I went here for the first time it's was great! Came here a second time eh wasn't that good. Came back for the third time just BAD. The lady who did my nails didn't go really far in my cuticle with the dip powder so it looked over grown when in reality I just got them done. Smoothing/shaping was bad they didn't look the same. But get this three days later the top coat was COMING OFF AND THERE WAS A CRACK. And it wasn't one nail it was 2 that had top coat falling off. Do not recommend. read more

So they have done a fabulous job on my toes twice now, though more of a rubbing than a massage. However this time I had a dip "manicure" done. The lady was very sweet and basically jumped into dipping my nails after shaping them. I was a bit confused what I paid for because she didn't massage my hands, trim the hangnails/dead skin or even put lotion on my hands? I felt a bit cheated and disappointed when I left. I decided to try out a new place with my friend. I kept an open mind throughout the whole experience. The lady I had wasn't following the reference photo I had when it was a very easy design. It looked as though a 10 year old had done it I tried to politely ask her to fill in the sides of my nails that she was missing and I had her just do French tips instead which still were very bad very uneven and shaky. I had acrylics done and they are very bumpy and there's tons of scratches. She was not happy when I did not tip, even though I expressed many times that I did not like it. I just don't understand how she has 17 years of experience and could look at my nails and think that it was acceptable. I do not recommend going here unless you like having messy nails for a cheap price. You might as well just do them yourself. read more

Came here for a shellac mani and deluxe pedi. I made an appointment just to ensure there was a slot for me it was a Thursday. It was quiet and not that busy which was great. I got a lady who was very nice but I question the steps she took for my pedicure. Pedicure talk: For the deluxe, it came with the baseline: cuticle trim, nail shaping, cleaning and buffing, callus remover, sugar scrub, mask treatment with the warm towel wrap and massage.. What made it "deluxe"? I assume it's the hot stone, and paraffin wax. I haven't been to a nail salons for some time now, I handle and do most maintenance at home but it still isn't "nail salon" worthy. So I assumed, the fact that I haven't been to any nail salon in such a long time frame there would be plenty of cuticle to push back and cut/trim. Nope.. she barely pushed any cuticle back, barely cut anything. So at this point, should I be proud to think I've been doing a good job at home?! She did the cuticle, shaping, cleaning, buffing, callus remover (for a min or less), sugar scrub, mask treatment, warm towel and then went on with the nail polish.. I was waiting to ask about the paraffin and massage. The paraffin finally came AFTER the nail polish? I thought (from past experience) it would've been polish is the last thing? So paraffin then polish? Nope.. not with her. The massage was non-existent. My 7 year old applies more pressure than she did. It was almost like she's stroking my leg. Mani talk: She did a pretty good job?m, same scenario with the cuticle thing as the pedicure. I guess the polish I chose was "old" cause she had to apply multiple layers on. I made the comment, "maybe the owners should go through inventory to see what needs to be replaced then?" I have this thing about nail salons not getting the full nail, like the sides of the nail and applying it close to the cuticle. I called that to her attention, she's nodding and helping me fix the sides of those nails yet.. still couldn't manage to get it close to the cuticle. That was Thursday's I got it done, by Monday, my shellac already looks like it's grown a week out and the sides are catching on fibers. Mind you. It's not cheap for any of those services. The least I expect is for it to last couple of weeks and at least for the first week, it doesn't look like it should be taken off cause it's looking tacky. read more

I came in for a pedicure and had such a great experience. I was greeted and seated in a pedicure chair as soon as I walked in, yay for no waiting. The salon is spacious (10 pedicure chairs), clean, and they had a huge nail color selection. The staff was friendly and attentive, I always get the same light pink color on my nails and was impressed that my technician painted my nails perfectly without any streaks (which can happen often with a lighter opaque color) and made sure it was clean around my nail bed. I was told that the salon came under new ownership recently and I'm happy to hear this. I will definitely be coming back more frequently in the future. *Although I walked in at the right time, there were several clients that walked into the salon minutes after my service started so I do recommend calling ahead to schedule just in case. read more

There's nothing worse than someone angrily doing your nails. I've been wanting to check out this nail salon for quite some time, they reluctantly took me in without an appointment. Expressing how busy they were but there's 8 empty pedicure chairs. Wow. I explained that I would like my shellac removed on my fingernails and replaced with new shellac and express pedicure. The woman doing my pedicure was rough and said they don't have time for me and replacing my shellac. Clearly there was a misunderstanding of services. I told her this is my first time at the salon and was excited to be there.... she then tells me the prices and said "some new people think it's a lot". I explained I don't care how much it costs, I have money- I like it done right. I agreed to take off my shellac only. Another woman came over with a sander to take it off since the acetone in foil was not lifting faster. I've never had any salon touch my nails with a sander when taking off shellac and I refused service on my fingernails at this point. The pedicure was painful and subpar. The massage was nonexistent, which is honestly what I get a manicure for as I'm a hairstylist. She told enough time to rub lotion on my hands and that was it. The acrylic did not go all the way back to my cuticle, they were thick, bumpy, uneven, and one was crooked. The paint did not cover the sides or back of the nail by the cuticle. I am very impressed with the COVID precautions that are in place here. A plastic barrier separates the client from the employee as she works on your nails. Clients are separated so you are not having your nails done next to another customer.
