I like the feel of human hands on my skin, so I booked a 50-minute relaxation massage. My massage therapist was very thorough about explaining what she would be doing and why, and also asked me if there was anything that I wanted her to focus on. I just gestured all around my body and said, "Just hit it all. No holds barred," or something like that. I'm a veteran massage-getter, so timidity is not something I deal with in a massage studio. I'm usually like, "Do your thang, girl/guy." My therapist did her thing, and it was a lot more gentle than I'm used to. That might have been her style, or maybe I should have communicated that she could go harder, but it was super gentle, like she was applying lotion on me. I'm a believer that every massage is a good massage (you're getting touched!), so even though it wasn't great, it was still good. They have some nice amenities here, like a relaxing waiting room with red-light masks, snack, drinks and things to read. There is also a steam room that you can visit, if you want. It's a small spa, but it's impeccable and has the kind of services that you would expect from a modern spa.

They were willing to accommodate us as best they could and offered to do one pedicure at a time, but we opted to come back in an hour so we could get our pedicures done together. We wasted some time around the area at stores like Vons then made our way back to the nail salon. When we arrived we were instructed to choose a nail polish color and then shown to a comfortable massage chair. The facility was very clean, water was perfect and hot, and the pedicure was incredibly relaxing. Our nail hosts were kind and asked us funny questions to make us feel comfortable. They also did an incredible job with a foot and leg massage, gentle exfoliation, and hot towels wrap. I really enjoyed my experience here and would hands down come back again. My nails were on point and my skin was soft and smooth afterwards.
