I searched high and low for my nail tech who left the previous place that I went to. Yay! I Found him at The Nail Room Bearden! I'm so happy I did. Even if he wasn't here, I would definitely come back. This place is clean and cute. Everyone is nice and very attentive; plus, the owner is awesome! She keeps everything light and relaxed. Thankfully, I found my guy and am happy to get to see him at this place. Just so happens, I do know some of the other nail techs here and they ALL do a great job! I went to Yun Park for years; to say she does a bad job would not be accurate. She does good nails. The issue is how she treats her customers, long time loyal customers included. I called a few minutes before my appointment to say I was running 8 MINUTES late. YES, 8 MINUTES (I don't do anything special- simple, quick easy regular, old-school nail polish manicure). She refused to service me. Mind you, I have waited up to 45 minutes for her countless times over the years to finish other clients. After discussion with other clients, I recently found out this is a habit of hers "We have enough clients... we don't need more" was the latest quote I've heard. I can't believe I am writing this review. I will preface this by saying I had never had a bad experience with them until I came in on 05/28/24. The owner was absent from what I understood. I came in with my Matron of Honor to get our nails done for my wedding. We were serviced by Rissa. First, she was very rude to both my friend and I while getting our nails done. She literally drilled into my finger and I jerked away because it was into a cut I had on my finger and she says "maybe you need to look away so that you don't jump if you're scared". She saw that I was bleeding because she even got a cotton ball for it!! Then she gets me finished, which I will say she was very fast (but that does not mean that it was quality service). She gets me sat next to my friend at the pedicure station and I am trying to relax and spend time with my friend before my wedding and Rissa comes back and starts applying my friends nails WHILE SHES STILL IN THE PEDICURE CHAIR. My friend was folded like a pretzel getting both her nails and toes done. Rissa was getting upset with my friend because she wasn't still. Tell me how anyone is supposed to have a relaxing/pampering day with that kind of service? And to top it off, both mine and my friends nails came off in a week. And I can't get mine redone because I was out of town on my honeymoon and exceeded the 7 day grace period. For us to both have spent $135+ each it makes me mad that not only did we receive bad service but we also received low quality nail service. I will not be back. read more

If you want a natural manicure, you won't get it here--they don't know how to do it. The overall quality is poor and I feel that tech was unskilled and had very long and sharp nails. The manicure was painful, rushed, not pleasant. It did not achieve what a manicure should achieve--beautiful, smooth nails, with groomed cuticles. I tried to tell the tech that I was not quite satisfied but she dismissed it. Somehow, I felt compelled to leave her a tip for trying because she probably did the best she could. I have been in here couple of times in the past because they are one of the few open near me on a Sunday But NEVER AGAIN!!! The people that own this nail salon give me major anxiety. I was getting my nails done and a customer came in to make an appointment, she was apparently 8 mins late and it sounded like she'd even called to let them know she would be a few mins late but the nail tech had already decided to take another client. If I had been the customer I would have left after being treated the way they treated her but she was still trying to discuss, apologize for being late and wanted to make another appt for another day! I was embarrassed for them and felt really bad for the customer. To make it even worse, after the customer left having been refused service, the owners actually began discussing it with the other customers!!! I tried to play like I understood their side but honestly, it made me feel very uncomfortable after seeing what happened first hand, I felt bad for the customer and how she was treated. This customer was in tears!!! Extremely unprofessional. Overhearing the owners speak poorly about other clients after they leave is just wrong, good or bad you don't do that. There are PLENTY of other places in knoxville for you to go to - After what I witnessed today, I will never return. You can find MUCH better people elsewhere! No one should be treated the way this woman was treated. read more
