I was extremely disappointed with the removal of previous gel polish by Vickie and the manicure/massage. I was specific that I wanted the gel removed without a 'grinder.' I asked the manager when I made the appointment for the polish to be gently soaked off. He said yes that is ok. I arrived, stated again that request to hand remove the gel polish. Vickie said yes. Then after less than a minute of soaking Vickie grabbed the drill/grinder because she said the polish was too hard. I stopped her, she then scraped at my nail with a hard emory board scratching my skin. When it hurt, I asked her to slow down and be more gentle, she would start with the drill and complain it was too hard. So I told her that previous manicurist would soak the nails longer and gently scraped off off the polish. Anyway, she broke two nails and ended up cutting off weeks of growth. I will never step inside this location again. read more

So I always usually will come to 54th because it's just close to my house and I've never really had that bad of an experience here but today was completely different and something I've never experienced at any nail salon. First of all, I got there right at 9:30 when they opened and they sat me down right away and she started to get to work on my pedicure. The service fully finished at 10:45. It should not take somebody over an hour to do a pedicure. And mind you there was nothing special or different. I got the most basic level pedicure they offer. Second I have allergies, so I was sniffling a little bit and all of a sudden, the lady who was doing my pedicure, asked me if I had allergies and I said yes, and wearing the gloves that she was using while doing my feet, came up to me without asking my permission and started doing nasal massages on my face. It literally sounds unbelievable as I'm writing it right now, but she started massaging my face. I had just put on make up. I was going to go to work after, and her gloves were filled with my make up because she was rubbing my face when I never asked her to do that. Besides all of this, she did a horrible job on the pedicure. I had polish all over my toes and I'm pretty sure she forgot the topcoat. She never asked me what shape I wanted. She didn't even file or shape at all. Once the service was done and it was time to pay I let the front desk know that I was really unhappy with the service and they told me that they would fix it, but I had to go to work right after so I didn't have time and I'm leaving for my trip so there was no way for me to come back later. The best discount they could give me was $15 off. The service was still over $40 and it was definitely not worth that at all. It sucks that this place was just so convenient for me and now I'll never go back here again. read more

Ooh yesssss! SO glad to have this beautiful nail salon so close to my house. It's clean and beautifully decorated with a long bar for manicures and multiple pedicure stations. The seats are new, so the massage feature is awesome. I love the pedicure I got, but they really made me a repeat customer with the adorable nail designs! So I went in for long acrylics with a white french tip, they honestly looked pretty good and the french tip was really neat for a salon. However, after a few days the nails quickly started lifting...in the salon the man that did my nails did little nail/cuticle prep and the acrylic didnt quite fit on my nail bed if that makes sense -- towards the end he kept trying to push my finger into place when the acrylic was the issue By day 3 the first nail started lifting and at the end of the week 2 nails are completely broken and only 4 fingers(including thumbs) arent lifting. Initially I felt bad that I forgot to leave a tip because the pricing was so unclear and I got flustered, but after seeing how the nails hold up it was probably justified. It's a shame because everyone I interacted with was very sweet it's just not the spot for nails you want to last. The shaping was on point however. read more

Overall I wouldn't recommend this place, they are a bit more than other salons and of the 3 times I went I was only happy with one trip. 2 different nail techs were in too much of a hurry and ground through my nail or into my skin more than once. The gel polish was not even and looked bad unless you were far away. read more

My daughter and I are new to the area and we tried this salon for pedicures, a gel manicure and an acrylic full set. The salon is beautiful and someone greets you immediately when you arrive, which is why I gave it a star. Service wise, I would give it no stars. I had made an appointment and showed the man who greeted us photos of what we wanted when we arrived. My pedicure was decent, but it left my feet feeling bone dry and ashy--right after a pedicure! I asked for something very basic with my gel manicure and my nails were uneven, jagged and the polish was not at all what I had asked for. The tech offered to "fix" it, but it would have required starting over from scratch and I just said forget it. If you are accustomed to a salon where pedicures leave your feet feeling fabulous and moisturized and the nail tech doing what is asked, this is not the salon to try. This was one the worst salon experiences I've ever had. Not to mention, we were charged over $200 for very poor work. I won't be back. read more
