I'm from NJ which let's face it, makes the best bagels in the country. We recently moved up this way and have tried all the local bagel spots and none compared to what I was used to. They are all doughy and dry and skimpy on the seeds. A few months ago we tried The Naked Bagel and WOW!!!! These are the kind of bagels I was missing!!! Crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside and loaded with seeds!! 10 out of 10!! Some reviews here mention the staff being rude but they have been ok to us. Having lived in the area for over 18 years, I have been here from Naked Bagel's opening. Their food has always been great, and the staff is wonderful, however, the only complaint I have always had is that they routinely run out of bagels by noon! I just don't comprehend how this can be their standard of business when they claim to be a bagel shop and, on many occasions cannot even offer a bagel at lunchtime! To me, that is absolutely ridiculous. They should be making bagels as soon as they see their supply running out, especially if it is before the noon lunch rush-hour! read more

I passed thru this small sleepy town and stumbled upon a place call Naked Bagel. Coming from New Jersey, which makes the best bagels , I just needed to stop in. I was a little skeptical. Old buildings, storefront, in a residential area. I have to say that I was pretty impressed with the quality of the product, they made quality sandwiches and bagels. Clearly many regulars visit this place over and over again. I could tell that there were lots of happy customers. Being my first time in the place, the ordering process was new to me. Where the line starts, where you order, where to stand while waiting, how to pay for your food, was all a bit confusing. I eventually figured it out when one of the staff reprimanded me, and gave me a brief tutorial on where to order, where to stand after I order, and where I pay. But seriously other than that everything in this place was spectacular. Great food, great sandwiches, and a very cool name. read more

To start things off, this business is horrendous with customer service skills. Every single time without fail. The rude attitudes from the old rotten women in there need a turn around. Everyone knows this place is known for how rude they can get. Wether its on the phone or in person you are rushed they don't take your order seriously and they seem to be hard at hearing. We stopped here on recommendation from some of the locals in a neighboring town to get Bfast and subs prior to heading up to visit our kids at camp visiting day. They made a great pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwich and custom, Old-school deli subs. Knowing that we were packing them in a cooler, the woman helping us double wrapped them in plastic to keep them dry and ready for lunch. I think it's family-run. It isn't very clean, FYI, but for a quick take-out bite, it's not bad. The bagels are good, so you'll enjoy that. Good cream cheese, a large amount, too. There is a good amount of tables and chairs, and it's spacious. No WiFi. I need to say this: everyone NOT working the register was great. Having said that... The thing that was difficult for me was the chaos of checkout and anxiety of the person handling it. There was no real order; it wasn't in order of people in line, or when their food came up. Ah, but it gets worse. The individual at the register was not only visibly panicking, but when I tried to pay with a credit card, hesitated and complained over the fact that my order was small and *would not swipe it*... until I gave in and paid with cash. BUT: having literally whined until I chose not to use my card, they then whined that I paid with a large bill (which was the reason for the attempted card payment in the first place.) They made faces, sighed, and actually muttered. I only wish I were kidding. It took longer to check out than it did to order and receive food, and left me anxious enough that I certainly won't come back, and don't want what I purchased. Went in there for a dozen bagels and some cream cheese on Saturday. My sister and I were the only persons in line. Was greeted by a young man behind the counter. We asked if they have a salt bagels and he replied YES. So we ordered various flavors bagels with no one behind us. A queue of a line began behind us and we moved to be timely. We paid promptly with a smile and moved to the side. 25 mins later and a host of stares by 2 women behind the counter, and the cashier boy of what order we were waiting for we reminded them of the order. Now people came in and ordered and left after us and here we were waiting. It wouldnt be so bad but my sister just had surgery on her neck so its a bit disconcerting, we wanted to buy something and go home. But Then another 5 minutes passed by when they said there is no salt bagels which was disappointing. The staff lacked sincere apology on the lateness of the order and the fact they could not give us what we actually paid for but acted like their incompetence was our fault was really rude. I get they got busy but due to their chaotic work methods, we got a messed up order that was late! We didnt complain but we expected at least a bit of sincere apology. One of the few (maybe only?) bagel places in Milford so service is not a priority here-staff doesn't care. Any time of day that I've gone here (super early, mid morning, etc.) they are consistently out of the basic bagels (plain, everything, etc.). I kept giving this place another chance but they consistently never have what we want and staff is not pleasant at all. Prices are also high-which I wouldn't mind if I could get what we wanted and service was better. After many attempts at Naked Bagel I realized this place consistently falls short, now I just drive a bit to a neighboring town to get bagels without any issues at all. read more

They offer great customer service and a friendly, small town welcoming feel. They are still friendly even when they are slammed and most would have lost their smiles.
