Thankfully, I found Boston Collegiate Nannies. My husband and I could not be happier with our nanny. She is wonderful and a tremendous help to our family. Our son lights up when she arrives in the morning, and she is clearly invested in his happiness and development. She is organized, engaged, and makes us feel confident that our child is in good hands. When we began our childcare search I found it to be extremely stressful; however, my first conversation with Lydia at BCN put my mind at ease. She clearly demonstrated industry knowledge, and she took a thoughtful, detailed inventory of the qualities that my husband and I were looking for in a nanny. Throughout the search process Lydia was extremely communicative and diligent, providing regular status updates and efficient follow up to any conversations we had with candidates. All of the candidates that Lydia recommended for interviews were excellent, and we could tell that she carefully considered the criteria that we discussed. I do not think that we would have had such a successful outcome in our childcare search without the help of Lydia and her team at BCN. Both my husband and I were extremely impressed by our experience working with BCN and would highly recommend them!!

My sister, who just started a position through BCN, referred me to them. I have been pleasantly surprised by the whole. Lydia and her team have been very helpful, professional and punctual. They respond to emails in a timely manner and are working very hard to keep the process as quick as possible. BCN takes the hard work out of the job search. From start to finish they assist you in finding a job. From interviewing you before they send your information to a family each time to checking in regularly to see how things are going. They even have a free training for each nanny called the "Savvy Sitter" training. It goes over the ins and outs of being a nanny. I am excited to finalize everything and start my new position soon. This is my first time working with an agency and I don't think I'll go back to looking for a job without one.

We signed onto Nanny Kate and paid a $500 deposit for them to help us look for a nanny…read more Simultaneously, we also looked for a nanny through Care.com, since we wanted to maximize our chances of finding a good nanny. In over 2 months, they have only sent us 1 candidate who we already interviewed ourselves through Care.com. Clearly they do not have a pool of nannies that work for them. They just post the job on Care.com and look for someone there. Except they are not even as good as doing it yourself, as it took them 2 months to send us 1 candidate. We were able to interview dozens of candidates within 2 weeks of posting our job on Care.com and had multiple good candidates. We asked them for a refund or partial refund of our deposit since they have clearly failed at their job. We have not heard from them since. I would stay away at all costs. The agency is a huge scam.

The entire staff is the equivalent to real life Disney fairy godmothers. They are magical. So professional, incredibly caring and warm from the start. From the moment I inquired online with Cadence Academy, in less than 24 hours our relationship began. Kaitlyn, the director, personally called me, and after 45 minutes on the phone, feeling like we were long lost friends reconnecting, the weight of finding the perfect place for my son was lifted. (Her daughter attends, so that right there was reassurance that Cadence Academy is the top choice for even a professional) I was called back to work in the middle of the summer of 2020, the PANDEMIC. Kaitlyn and her incredible staff made me feel so comfortable while I couldn't physically tour any of the classrooms, or walk inside the building, their descriptions, virtual tours, and phone calls reassured me completely. The Covid protocols were strict and thorough- with daily temperature checks for each student, mandatory masks, and extra sanitizing steps- it is extremely clean that I never felt overly nervous. Within the first week my son attended for three days, he came home waving, clapping and saying "bye-bye" at 11 months old. The next week he was saying "ut oh" and signing for milk (I had practiced signing at home and let them know my goals- and within two weeks of being at the academy -he was signing back!) Now at almost a year and a half he has an extensive vocabulary and signing skills to communicate! All thanks to the incredible teachers and socialization with other babies. The first few weeks I was a naturally worried mom- between the live updated app they use showing each meal, how much he ate and how much milk he drank, how long he napped, to every dirty to clean diaper- to photos of their daily activities- it reassured me he was in the perfect hands. I would call to check in, and every time I did I never ever felt rushed off the phone- Miss Taryn (who my son calls mama and immediately reaches for when we arrive each morning) would take the time and tell me how James' day was going and what he was learning. Even though I would hear a busy room in the background, she never rushed me off the phone and let me ask all of the questions. I felt at ease. She truly is doing what she is meant to do- be with babies and teach! My son had an immediate and special bond with Miss Taryn- that naps were no problem napping away from home (which is any mom's biggest fear who has gone through sleep training and has a perfect sleeper- sleep and daycare! They are amazing at getting your baby to nap) Meghan, the assistant director, is the most warm and calming soul I have ever came across. She is the perfect face of the academy, taking care of the daily protocols and payments. Anything you need or any question you may have- she is literally two rings away, or your emailed is answered within minutes. Hannah, is the coolest and the most down to earth, who again makes you feel so comfortable leaving your child when/if he cries come Monday when you first leave. And mind you- she is the funniest- best personality. Look no further, this is the spot not only for you to feel at ease that your child is in the best care, but also the best place for your child to grow (and eat very well!)

My children are very happy at both drop off and pick up. They have a structured curriculum and schedules that align well with each classroom, and we have seen both of our children truly thrive. We are confident that the child who will be entering K next year is going to be more than ready with the preparation in Pre-K! We call it a school because it is truly more than a daycare - they are caring for the children but also developing them as empathetic and smart learners! In these unique (pandemic) times, Little Steps really has made sure all state policies are followed. We have felt completely comfortable sending the children in. It is also worth noting that the classrooms are spotless, drop off/pick up is easy, and communication via the tadpoles app is very clear. (It also shares a building with a great pediatrician practice and is walking distance to a commuter rail...extremely convenient!)

They made sure we were able to sleep through the night, helped minimize noise, cleaned bottles, pump parts, etc. Kelly and her team gave us amazing sleep tips and set goals for each night to try and help get him on a sleep schedule - even when he was only a few weeks old. They even checked in with us during the days or nights that they weren't with us to see how things were going and impart advice/answer questions. Scheduling was a breeze with Kelly. We were not sure how often we would need someone and often asked Kelly for help last minute and she always came through for us! When we were using the service more regularly, she tried to get the same nanny for us more regularly. When we did have different nannies because our schedule was erratic, they spoke to one another about our son, what works well, particulars to his care, etc. so that we were not constantly re-orienting someone which was so nice and appreciated. Kelly and her team saved our sanity and helped us through the difficult nights and gave us tools to help set our son's sleep habits on the right track. First of all, Jake's Place has amazing teachers who are experienced and caring. They have made us feel like family. When we send our children to Jake's, we feel they belong to a community. That is something corporate daycares and preschools don't provide. Secondly, the education is wonderful. They work on math, language, motor and social skills. Our daughter was graduated from Jake's last summer and the K teacher was amazed by her skills levels. Our son is also is learning fast. Finally, the value for money is unbeatable. The care, education and love that our kids got were far beyond what we have paid. The backyard is large and shaded naturally by trees. Kids love playing outside there. My friends children currently enrolled have definitely have reiterated that they are doing everything to remain open . It's really sad to hear one person's need to bash a business because she thought this was " over the top" when the business is following the DESE regulations for preschool kids that are not protected by vaccine . My advice that if that is this is not a right for your family that's fine you can leave. There are ten + people on a waiting list that would be happy to be there. This is a small town please remember that being so callous and bashing someone's livelihood doesn't make you a hero.
