I was surprised to visit the Nash as family brought me here without any knowledge of where we'd be going. We all love live music & ended up having a really nice evening after enjoying a nice dinner out that Friday evening. The drinks are good, enjoyed learning about the musicians performing that night and definitely will be going back again.

This was my first time at this intimate Jazz venue located on the corner of Roosevelt and 1st Street in the heart of downtown Phoenix with mostly volunteer staff. They had great reviews and I really wanted to love the show but I just couldn't and didn't. We were pretty underwhelmed and found ourselves yawning and ended up leaving early. I think it is a nice venue if you're a huge jazz fan as evidenced by all the positive reviews. It just wasn't for me unfortunately.

May 14: SCC Jazz & Pop Concert!

The little Jazz Club that jams! We were lucky to make it to a spectacular showcase of Dennis Rowland & his mentees from Scottsdale Community College. Every semester, the class culminates in a concert held here. We were truly wowed by the variety of singers - all different ages & styles. The concert started st 7:30 & when we took off at 10 pm, it was still going strong. We experienced such a positive vibe there, per the usual! I sat next to a chick I'd never met before & we just chimed in as backup when one student sang Sinatra's "That's Life." Because we were FEELIN' IT! The band itself was outstanding - they consistently jammed for more than four hours. The pianist?! Epic. Dennis hung out on the sidelines, supporting his students, as he's done for a decade+ The bar served a very small glass of house Zin for $9. Normally, I would not be cool w/ that. BUT...The Nash is in the middle of a capital campaign to renovate the club, so if upcharging for drinks can help fund the reno, I am more than happy to pay for extra. They have photos up of how the club will be upgraded & it looks pretty grand! We're excited for the makeover. As far as parking: it was disappointing that street parking meters on the west side were covered - meaning not usable. No idea why City of Phx did that, but they're where we usually park for $3-$5. Instead we parked in Carly's parking lot w/ the app & it was THIRTEEN DAMN DOLLARS. AYKM?! That's bananas. I'd say get there earlier to find street parking that may require hoofing it a little. Overall, we had a terrific Tuesday night!

The Nash is back! After a huge remodel the jazz music can be heard again in a cool new setting. This time there are cute servers bringing quality appetizers and drinks to your seat. If you like jazz music as I do, this will inevitably become a hang out. No big city is complete without a swank music spot like this.

This was my first time at The Nash so I can't speak to what it was like before the remodel but either way, it looks great in there now! They don't serve any hard liquor but still have some good cocktails on their menu just using beer, wine, and liqueurs which is really cool. The pricing was reasonable. The service was fast and friendly and of course the show itself was AMAZING! I love jazz and boy did the band deliver. If you like jazz or just appreciate live music, check this place out, you'll have a really fun night!

Nick Manson & Friends at The Nash!

Looking for great jazz in PHX? Look no further than The Nash! I recently visited Arizona for work and decided to stay a few extra days for my own mini solo retreat. One of my favorite things to do when traveling solo is to checkout a jazz show and I'm always browsing through Yelp to find a local joint to spend a few hours. After searching, I came across The Nash and was determined to make my way there while in town. Lucky me, Emmy-award winning jazz pianist, Nick Manson, was playing one of the evenings I was there so I was in! When I arrived, guests were slowly making their way inside and there were a host of friendly volunteers buzzing about. I purchased my ticket at the door as I had never been inside of The Nash and didn't really understand which seat may be the best for me. The team was kind enough to point out which seats were available before I purchased my ticket. What's funny is, it's not a very huge building, very intimate seating which I loved, so idk why I was so confused lol. I believe that almost everything is better with a glass of wine so I was super happy to see that there was a concession stand open and ready for guests - WIN! With quick snack options and a nice lil wine menu, The Nash has the right idea! I took a seat in the back as I thought it'd be awkward to be stuck at a front table with someone I didn't know, lol. I'm friendly but I like to skip the small talk. So I was happy that the seat in the back was open! The show started on time and man, what a show! I ended up leaving a bit early as it was getting dark and I was tired, but wow - I truly enjoyed the show and The Nash, I can't wait to go back and support their mission and performers again!

Michael Powers - Neck & Neck set up !!

Cool jazz club named after Louis Nash in downtown Phoenix. The seating is perfect, there's no bad seat in the house. Great artists bless the stage weekly. We had the pleasure of seeing Michael Powers and band and they were amazing. This jazz club is a non profit. Quaint and cozy. They offer snacks, alcohol and non alcoholic beverages. I really enjoyed this venue and would return again. If any of you all visit, take a sweater as it can get a little chilly in there.

Intimate vibe with diverse crowds united by great music. Clean facilities and friendly volunteers that usher you through the experiences.

What a treat! First time at the Nash Jazz Club in Phoenix. Front Row Table to see Francine Reed and the band. I used to see her perform at Chuy's Night Club in Tempe off of Mill Avenue many years ago. What a great performer! The Nash is celebrating their 10 Year Anniversary! It is a nonprofit organization that promotes Jazz on the Valley. Lots of opportunities for volunteers and those interested in hearing some great jazz artists. You can order tickets online. The Nash seats over one hundred people and a great entertainment venue. Parking is limited but the Light Rail and surrounding parking options are available.

I absolutely love this place. I loved it before the reno, but now it has a more high end feel. Honestly the staff and volunteers make this place. It's a nonprofit so your money is being well spent. The music is always great be it Latin Jazz, Afro Blue, or Big Band you can't go wrong here. The atmosphere is welcoming and low key. Cold kitchen with things like hummus and shrimp cocktail. I've sampled both and they are very quality dishes. Beer and wine at the moment, but was informed that there will soon be a liquor license which I'm excited for. A martini and jazz is my jam.

Ask the Community - The Nash Jazz Club

Is there any dress code?

While I dress to the nines, I've seen people there in flip flops. Most people are business casual tho.

I'm attending a show this Sunday at 3pm. I'm meeting family there. Where do I park? I'm in Sun City West but driving down from Prescott. Thanks!!! I'm new to the area from…

Parking behind the building!!

Is it 21 and up?

The Nash is an all-ages venue.

Check-in security process was smooth, drinks were good we ordered the margaritas in the refillable cups but never got refills because I'm not the person that leaves there spot at the concert and it's also a fairly large drink! We were right up at the stage and during the opening act and main they actually had a beverage/bar cart come through at the security fence which I thought was pretty smart. The venue felt significantly oversold, to the point where it was nearly impossible to move comfortably. From where I was standing, I couldn't see the stage at all, which made it hard to enjoy the performance I came to see. Beyond just being crowded, it felt unsafe. The number of people packed into the space seemed excessive, and I genuinely question whether it exceeded fire code limits. People were standing all the way back into the bar area. Navigating through the crowd was difficult, and there didn't appear to be enough room for people to exit easily if needed. I've been to this venue since its 2017 opening and had much better experiences, but this event felt poorly managed. I hope they take crowd capacity and guest safety more seriously in the future.

We used the valet parking as the signage was a bit unclear, so it seemed the easier solution than going up and down stairs to find Geordie's. The entrance had the open feeling of a grand house, with the wrought iron staircase and the beautiful ceiling, terracotta tiles and wood furnishings. There was a wedding party in the large restaurant area that we passed on the way to our table in a separate area. The table was set with care and the rose petals were such a thoughtful touch! As a European I was pleasantly surprised by a small velvet covered stool, placed by my side, for my purse: these touches made the evening even more memorable. No rushing to seat more people or a check arriving while still deciding if something else was going to be ordered. I do enjoy a real meal in a real restaurant, with table linens, linen napkins, the proper glasses, the good silverware. Nick was taking care of our table and was very attentive to anything we may have needed. The cocktails we had were the " Ready, Fire, Aim" with rye whiskey, Drambuie, St Remy and bitters, and the "Dr Vincent's Penicillin" with scotch, lemon, honey, ginger and Laphroaig spritz: both were delicious. For the meal I had the Risotto made with Carnaroli rice, oyster mushrooms, truffle and asparagus; for me the risotto was just a bit over but it was creamy and all of it eaten! The Scallop Ceviche was fabulous, thinly sliced served with auicos, sliced jalapeño, leche de tigre : my chile allergy wouldn't let me taste this dish, but my partner ate it all so definitely good :) The main course consisted of the prime Filet for me, cooked perfectly!! to my medium-rare with emphasis on rare, served on pommes purée and enjoyed to the last bite; the other order was for the dry smoked Branzino (sea bass) with olive tapenade, artichoke and tomato: the fish was so moist and tasty, the skin crispy, and was presented beautifully. For dessert we shared the "Milk and Honey" which is a twist on panna cotta with brown buttercream and honeycomb. With dessert I had my usual after dinner espresso with a shot Sambuca to go with it. Thank you Nick for taking such good care of us. A perfect meal and ambiance for a special night
