Worst experience ever here... Where do I start? Called in yesterday for a party of 12, got told that they would combine and accommodate the middle space for us. We walk in and get sat at the bar instead and get told it's the best they can do as others get sat in the middle. Eventually they got a smaller table for us, but the rest of us had to stand. For a big birthday party today, it was a failed experience. Took ages to get our drinks and it was impossible to get water. Couldn't even get some water for the past 2 hours we were there. The people in the middle tables got ice cold waters, we could barely get two and it was warm. At least the inside was nice, but wow, I would NEVER come back or tell my friends about it. I am ASKING a manager to reach out because this experience was HORRIBLE. Not only were they quick to "judge", but they sure were quick to bring the bill.

I only wanted one oyster. It was delicious!

I've been wanting to try this place for several months now but every time it's been booked. I finally got off work early enough to make it at 5 o'clock. Since I was by myself, I was able to be seated at the bar. The vibe here is incredible! It's beautifully decorated and nice and cozy. Perfect for a date night. I must bring my husband back here at some point. As I said, I sat at the bar and Megan the bartender was outstanding! I ordered a drink called Agree to Disagree. I think that was the name. Anyway, it was delicious and because it was happy hour it was half off the regular price of $23. I ordered one oyster and it was fabulous. I only ordered one because I was meeting a group of friends at The Guest House in 30 minutes and I did not want to spoil my appetite. I can't wait to come back here so that I can enjoy the full experience with the band. It's a lovely place and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

This speakeasy is BEAUTIFUL inside! It's like Great Gatsby meets Disco decor, but also cozy. See the picture and you'll understand what I mean! A reservation is recommended. It's on the side of the building under The Americano restaurant, but it's easy to find. We enjoyed The Paparazzi (their espresso martini with vodka, can also be made with tequila), The Flapper Fizz (great passionfruit flavor), and The Thyme Traveler (so fruity and the meringue on top was a fun touch)! Happy Hour is from 3-6 pm and all Signature Cocktails are $15 (down from anywhere between $18-$25). This is such a fun speakeasy, highly recommend visiting for a great selection of creative and delicious cocktails!

I'll start by saying, coming here on a Wednesday night at 8pm with no reservation to sit at the bar was a breeze. It sounds like this place gets pretty busy on the weekends, but my experience was easy. I was in the N. Scottsdale area for a different event, and I found this bar on the map nearby. TYF is located downstairs of The Americano restaurant (which looked nice itself). TYF definitely has all the components of a chill, speakeasy style cocktail bar that I enjoy. The decor is cool, with a disco themed atmosphere with dark red velvet and floral patterns. Plus the fun patterns of lighting along the walls and don't forget the huge disco balls. That all works for me. Bartender was mildly friendly, he made some recommendations based on our preferences and questions. So we ended up with 2 very different drinks. I told him I like a spirit forward cocktails so he recommended a dirty martini with pepperoncini juice. It was indeed stiff and briney with grey goose vodka. My friend ordered the bad blood cocktail which was delicious and felt nutritious with the beet juice. I love a cocktail that makes me feel like I'm doing something good for my body but also enjoying some spirits. My only reason to dock a star really comes down to feeling it's a bit overpriced. My single martini was $27 plus tip. I go to many bars, and some phenomenal bars at that, I don't typically spend over $30 for one drink. This feels a bit gratuitous, and could just be because of the location of the bar and usual clientele taking no issue with a $30 drink. Anyway, nice spot. I would come back during happy hour to try more drinks.

Looking for a nice lounge with live music this was a wonderful place to check out. We wanted a low key way to ring in a birthday. The venue offers a 2 hour maximum which is more than enough time to enjoy drinks and some food. The birthday boy offered the manhattan. While the drink is strong it's also bold with flavor. It was perfectly balanced I ordered Lust and Linger which I was a little on the edge thinking of a drink with pudding in it. The drink reminded me of a toasted crème brule with a subtle vanilla extract behind it Overall great flavor and very sweet The music was good Very relaxing piano player that played some good tunes They do charge on nights that live performance are offered and add it to the bill.

So this Gem here... This was a very interesting find. I will start off with, valet is offered. Which in most cases. I always use... I do wish I made more time for this place. Great atmosphere and set up. The bar was a delightful point of relaxation. The food looked amazing. Just wish I made more time...but the Customer service was great! Tip top service; well appreciated... I will return and make that time food a meal...and maybe even a cocktail. Thank you TYF!!! I will be back and for you Yelpers! ...Be There or Be Square...

Went there on a Wednesday night with a friend. We came in through the next door restaurant, but you can also go in from the door on the side of the building next to which is a lit-up TYL logo. The vibe made me think of bars from Royal Caribbean. If you care about blending in, make sure you're dressed up fancy, but we were able to go in wearing jeans and cute shirts. Service was good. The bartender was able to recommend a drink for me based on my preferences, and it hit the spot. I ordered "Bad Blood" which has a lot of beet flavor. It was refreshing, and the presentation was very cool too. The only reason I deducted a star is due to the high prices of cocktails.

You know this must be the place to go when a bartender at another speakeasy recommends this place. And the recommendation is echoed by a musician at a restaurant. Given that all speak highly of this speakeasy, I had to try it out for myself! The first challenge is finding the entrance! The kind staff at the Americano must of been asked this question a zillion times as they knew what I was asking before I even asked. As we found the mystery door we were greeted by some steps to go downstairs where the hostesses greeted us and ask for our reservation. As I checked if reservations were available on my way there, and saw that a credit card was needed for a reservation, I decided to wing it and not make a reservation. As it was 9pm on Wednesday, and I saw some open reservations, I was able to snag a seating for two. There was actually spots at little lounge tables and at the bar. We love sitting at the bar so we can watch drinks being made. We received the best seat at the bar in the end. The speakeasy also has booths/tables along the wall and in the middle with lounge seating. On the weekends make sure you make reservations in advance as there is live music. The speakeasy is small so does not hold many guest. So be prepared. Like any good speakeasy the vibe is dark. Furniture is lined with velvet. The ceiling is lined with light bulbs. It's a great Gatsby vibe! The drinks are funky! Check out my menu picture to get a vibe of the cocktails. There is even a drink in a safe! The menu has limited food too. Most cocktails are around twenty dollars. If you fancy champagne there is a bottle that is over 1,000 dollars. This is a perfect place to come with a group, with a reservation or as a couple! Cheers!

An absolutely five star experience! Husband and I went on a Thursday (3/19/26)- to have our little private anniversary celebration. I've never been to a Speakeasy before and so this was a classy treat! The atmosphere is directly on point. Some reference a Great-Gatsby experience and I have to agree! Our server was incredibly great! Very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The Wagyu beef tortellini is unbelievable- like nothing you've ever had before!!!! You MUST have it!!! It was outstanding!! (I'm saying it was outstanding !) . (Yes, you can order from a menu for the restaurant upstairs.) The fillet was perfectly cooked, perfectly tenderized ! - and absolutely delicious! The grilled asparagus had that smoke -grilled flavor and were wonderful. And the craft cocktails. A great idea is to go early as we did for the happy hour specials. The drinks are perfection. Enjoy a quiet evening before the music and next time we will come to enjoy to live show!

Beautiful speakeasy, friendly staff, and the live piano player is a great touch. The decor is very 1920s vibe, with gold and black. They have a full service menu of food as well which is great. Definitely a great visit and would go back. I do wish you enforce their dress code tho.

This is one of those experiences that I really wish was a four or five star experience that fell short. I stopped by for drinks on a Saturday evening after having dinner in the area. Tell You Friends is located in a shopping center close to several other businesses including Lou Malnati's. Parking shouldn't be an option. I will say that I'm a speakeasy super fan and I've been to many of these watering holes across the world. So my expectations are high. Especially when it comes to staying true to the historical roots of speakeasies. Ambiance (4/5): This is one of the areas where Tell Your Friends (TYR) shines. First off, great name for a bar. Located in the basement of Americano (hint, hint), you get there by checking in with the hostess of Americano. There is a side door that is locked that does indicate that this is where TYR is located. That takes away some of the fun. Speakeasies shouldn't have signage because this is, after all, part of the core of what a speakeasy is. Once you check in with the hostess, she will take you through some doors and a stairwell to get to the speakeasy. Once you enter, you will be impressed with the ambiance and decor. It's elegant. I'd compare it to a Great Gatsby look. There's some comfortable couches and booths. As well as seating at the bar. One of the only downsides? The A/C wasn't blasting much while I was there so it was a little stuffy. Service (2/5): This is where a lot of the missteps were. The bartenders and waiters/waitresses are friendly and efficient. The problem? They bamboozle you a bit. Almost every day of the week they are open, they have live music. I didn't have a reservation, I walked in. Upon receiving my bill, I saw that there was a $10 charge for the live music. The hostess did not inform me of this before taking me down to the speakeasy. She didn't ask for it at the door as is standard for a cover. At the very least, you have to disclose that at the start to make sure your customers are okay with it. Sketch. There was also a bit of a mix-up as they told us that our seats were mistakenly given to someone else. A bit bizarre. Food (N/A): They do have a nice menu of appetizers and entrees but I had dinner prior so I can't comment on the food. I will say that there were some good options and the prices I saw on the menu were better than I expected. Drinks (4/5): When I'm at a speakeasy, I expect creative craft cocktails. To the point where there are so many good options that I have trouble deciding what to go with. And I feel like I have to at least try out two to three cocktails while I'm there. This is definitely the case as TYR. I had both a mezcal cocktail which was somewhat similar to an Old Fashioned and a gin-based cocktail with cucumber and aloe that was refreshing. Well done all-around. Just a bit pricey as most cocktails are going to cost you $20 or $21 a pop. TYR is by no means a bad experience. But I'm a man of principle. Deceiving customers to make some money is not something I can get behind. And while I enjoyed the live music, speakeasies are typically more intimate/quiet affairs. Here, you'll have to speak quite loudly to hear each other when the live music is happening. Just a little different than what a true speakeasy experience typically offers.

If price were no object, I'd be at Tell Your Friends all time. As it is, any visit to the Scottsdale speakeasy is truly a special occasion. You might get lucky with a walk-in, but you should probably just go ahead and make a reservation for a two-hour stay. Show up early, and you can take advantage of TYF's new happy hour, which knocks their $20-$23 signature cocktails down to $15. My favorites are the light and fruity Flapper Fizz and the Call the Paparazzi (an espresso martini). The food selections are simple and tasty. The meat and cheese board has a great selection of bites. The fried chicken tenders are good, not great, and they're cheaper during happy hour. The meatballs on the happy hour menu are very good. Also, as TYF is located inside The Americano, a decent portion its menu can be ordered as well. The decor is intimate and luxurious and has some of the best vibes in town, and service is excellent. Tell Your Friends is one of the top bars in metro Phoenix.

It took us MONTHS to get reservations here so we were very excited to go. Venue is below (read lots of stairs) the Americano in Scottsdale. It is very well decorated and eye catching when you walk in. We were a group of 4 and sat right in front of the piano. The background music was so loud that we could barely talk with our table mates. When the singer and piano player started it was actually better! In our opinion the drinks were over priced for what you got, and sweeter than we expected. One person got the drink with the goat cheese and expected something savory, no, it was sweet with a cream cheese frosting! The smoked old fashioned was really cool when it was delivered in a safe! We ordered the $14 Americano fries and no lie, there was under 20 fries in the container!! There's no charcuterie on the menu nor any nuts. Biggest shock- they have a dress code but do not enforce it. 2 guys came in with torn jeans, big logos on their shirts and baseball hats, others with flip flops on. Now most of the patrons were rather young g and there to be seen in their cute outfits but the slobs just looked awful. Doubt we will be back due to the prices and the lackluster drinks.

The biggest difference was the ambiance. The music was so loud that it made conversation at our table difficult, and the tables were placed very close together, making the dining room feel a bit cramped. It lacked the relaxed, inviting vibe we've come to expect from the Gilbert location. We started with the Cacio e Pepe Arancini, and it was every bit as delicious as we remembered. Crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and full of flavor, it's still one of our favorite appetizers. We also shared the Little Gem Caesar Salad, which had just the right amount of dressing and was fresh, crisp, and satisfying. For my entrée, I ordered the Shrimp Scampi, which was delicious with perfectly cooked shrimp and great flavor. Around the table we also tried the Agnolotti Pomodori, which was very enjoyable, and the Spicy Rigatoni, another solid choice with just the right amount of heat. Dessert was the only real disappointment. We finished with the Banana Caramel Butter Cake, but unfortunately it was quite dry and didn't live up to the rest of the meal. Although this location didn't have the same atmosphere as Gilbert, the kitchen still delivered several excellent dishes. I'd happily return for the arancini and pasta, but I hope they turn the music down a bit and give diners a little more breathing room between tables so the overall experience is as enjoyable as the food.

It did not disappoint - this is actually a second-story restaurant so you can see the runway and planes! I'm not a pet owner but while I was there two people brought their pets along and one was a golden retriever puppy. This wouldn't matter but puppies can obviously cause a nuisance indoors - this staff did not mind. They were not in a slow service part of the day but they treated the pets like patrons and it actually created a really relaxed, collaborative atmosphere. I will note this though because if you're not an animal lover/ are afraid of dogs, their acceptance is a little more than the typical "pets outside" policy. Four, the food. It was beyond exceptional, and it's funny because the typical airport diner isn't elevated. But this is Scottsdale, and we had really delicious, beautiful food - actually fine dining presentation but in these cute mismatched kitschy dishes which brought it back down home. This was our first time here, and our friends suggested to come check it out. Walking in, I…read moreimmediately loved the decor. The place is very elegant and spacious. They have a neon sign and a beautiful feather chandelier near the front, both perfect spots for pictures! We came here on a Sunday evening right before Happy Hour ended, literally about 10 minutes before cutoff. Everyone here was super nice, especially Kayla, our server. Since we made it just in time, we decided to go all in and order almost everything from the Happy Hour menu, and 4 glasses of wine. To our surprise, the dishes were not small Happy Hour portions at all. The servings were actually really generous, and everything we tried was delicious. We ordered the Bolognese Fries, EVO Meatballs, Arancini, Whipped Feta, Old Town Burger, Margherita Pizza, and Pomodoro. We enjoyed everything, but the Arancini was definitely our favorite. It turned into such a fun night catching up over good food, wine, and the perfect evening vibe. Also, besides Kayla taking great care of us all night, the lady at the front was amazing too. She helped us take pictures, and she was definitely a pro. Sorry, I forgot to ask for her name, but thank you for making our night even better!
