I was in a car accident & called numerous doctors to get checked up, But surprisingly, none would…read moresee me unless I either hired a lawyer or simply denied me, because they don't take third party billing. WTH?! Hopeless & in pain I told my Mother about my situation & she recommended I give her Chiropractor a try. It was past midnight when I called his office to see if they are open tomorrow & thinking I would get his answering machine, the Dr. himself answered!!! Holy surprise! I was startled & felt bad that perhaps I woke him up, but I asked if his practice was open tomorrow & he told me unfortunately it's closed, but open on Monday. I thanked him quickly & hanged up. My Mother overheard & asked me if that was the Dr. I believe so?! And insisted to call again, but let her explain to him what happened. My Mother actually has been a long time client of his for many, Many years. And when she told him who it was, he immediately remembered her. My Mother continues on & told him what happened to me.. that I'm suffering & needs treatment right away. He gave in & opened his office on a closed business day to help treat me.
He asked my Mother what time I had to go to work & was so accommodating on the time in meeting, that after the treatment I can just go straight to work. I thought that was so considerate, let alone have a caring heart to treat me on his day off!
I arrived 15 mins. early & he was already at the office ready to treat me. After filling out a few paperwork & asking a few questions about my condition. He confirmed again what time I needed to be done in order to make it on time for work. After letting him know where it hurts from doing a few tests, he started my treatments right away.
First was the Electric Muscle Stimulation. While laying on my stomach, he advised that it may be cold in touch at first as he placed electrodes on my upper and lower back. Then when he turned on this unit, he started me out on the low setting, which gave a gentle muscle contraction. As the minutes went by, he asked if I would like to increase the current and I was all for it :) When he did, I said... Oh wow! This is great! It felt tingling, almost like when your foot's asleep but better! He came back in again to check up on me & asked if I would like to increase the current again. Oh yeah sure!!! This time the sensation was invigorating, very tingling, & relieving all at the same time! My first time having this treatment done on me and oh was I enjoying it. I was smiling inside & out. It was like having the most best massage, but without hands! This is by far the best physical therapy treatment of all modalities. My muscles tightness reduced dramatically and just felt more "light" instead of feeling there's a gorilla on my back. Such a relief!!!
Right after that he performed an ultrasound on the right side of my neck, since that side was more affected from my accident & ached tremendously the very next day. Trying to lay down is a struggle! This helped so much on my muscle spasm and tightness. The feeling was like someone was rolling a smooth hot pepper on my neck. Yes another invigorating moment, but I would say this was more intense. This warming effect was like putting on tiger balm. Definitely helped relieve my stiff neck side pain from being unbearable.
Then laying on my back, he asked me if I wore anything with metal on my chest, since this next treatment would melt it. I didn't have anything on me that was metal, so he placed this huge round brick of cement looking machine near my chest and told me it's like being in a microwave. The heat penetrated in my chest, which made it quite therapeutic to experience. Then there was a vibrating roller soothing moved up & down my back. *Sigh this feeling was real nice. I could fall asleep in this treatment. The warm effect on my chest made me just want to take a power nap. Ahhh so relaxing!
After all these wonderful treatments, he did one last thing. He sprayed this cold liquid on the side of my neck & put two tapes over it. He asked me you're a hostess right? I said yes. He was reluctant to place a third tape in front of my neck, where it hurts the most, simply because he knew guests would visibly see it & didn't want me to feel bothered by it. I was fine & told him it's okay just tape me there. He advised that if he did & for some reason I have to take it off, the other two will be ripped off too. So he didn't want that to happen and left it alone.
Lastly, he brought out a humongous neck brace & tried to put it on. I was resistant at first and was in denial that I need it. He told me you need it when you drive & showed me why. Dr. Yong H. Jung was very informative, kind, & caring in my visit. He did his very best in helping me with my pain before heading to work and saved my weekend from much discomfort. My Mother pulled her back, had a few accidents, & from the very first treatment, he helped Immensely. All I can end with is THANK YOU!!!
