I cannot believe this establishment is almost 5-stars. Maybe my experience is a fluke but after paying almost $80 for 3 sandwiches and 3 lattes and leaving hungry - well I am disappointed. I asked server why is my panini sandwich so small and was told it is regular size. My whole party agreed that sandwiches were overpriced for the size. Lettuce was old . Croissants with salmon were good. California panini was a joke. Additionally you don't have servers instead you order at the counter...tables are small and closely next to each other. Hard to have conversation as you are competing with your neighbors... Lastly and most importantly the price didn't seem right to me. I looked at itemized bill and it wasn't adding up. Simply stated numbers on receipt when added don't come up to total. I asked for manager and she stated that their system cannot produce fully itemized bill. This was a delightful start to my day off work. Stared with a Black Forest hot chocolate at the recommendation of staff which helped with how cold it is out. It was delightful although the chocolate Level could have been upped in my opinion. I love a rich hot chocolate. However, with breakfast the lightness was kind of refreshing. For breakfast I ordered the pancakes with a side of fruit and also ordered a side of eggs and bacon. The eggs were good, but I'd probably order them scrambled light or soft next time. The bacon was perfectly crispy. NOW, the star of the show was the pancakes by far. I got the banana walnut ones. They were buttery and flavorful and delicious even without syrup. Have been here before and liked it. Today I brought my mom for lunch. Love how bright and airy the dining is - was a little too chilly to eat outside. I love their croissants - so got a grilled chicken sammich. Mom got the California Chicken sammich on a croissant! Both were very good! I do wish they kept their sodas cool or cold. When you pour a warm Coke over ice it tends to water it down and it becomes flat. But they changed it out for a lemonade, so all was good! read more

This is a super cute cafe with some tables inside and some outside. You order at the counter and then they bring you your food. All the employees were very friendly and the service was quick despite how busy they were. The menu is pretty vegetarian-friendly which is always a plus. I had the Fresh Garden croissant sandwich, and it was SO good. The croissant was perfect, the eggs tasty, cheese melty, and the veggies were fresh and plentiful. The tater tots were perfectly crisp! They weren't salted, which I loved but my friends added salt to theirs. My friends all ordered meat sandwiches/wraps and enjoyed them. One got a side salad with hers and it was very large and fresh. The Nest is a really cute café with great coffee. We pretty much all got the hot latte with cinnamon and honey and it was fantastic. We got the Southern Style and The California Croissant which were both fantastic. We also got the omelette which wasn't our fav. t's overall a great casual spot, and the staff is very friendly. The only issue was a frustrating customer-experience moment. My mom ordered a side of toast with her omelet, but it wasn't rung up. When we asked about it, instead of just bringing the toast and letting us pay after, the staff member left, came back to tell us it wasn't paid for, left again, and returned with the physical receipt to prove we didn't pay for it. By the time I stood in line, paid the $2.16, and they finally toasted the bread, my mom almost finished her omelette and the rest of us had already finished eating. It wasn't about the money.. we were happy to pay it and genuinely thought we already had. It was the way it was handled. They came over twice to tell us we hadn't paid, even bringing the physical receipt to "prove" it, instead of just getting the toast started. Then it took more than 10 minutes to actually receive a single slice of toast after I had to get up from my own meal to stand in line and pay the $2.16. For something this small, especially after spending around $70, it felt unnecessarily stingy and ended up souring what would have been a great visit. I'm not rushing to come back again. read more

They also serve a bunch of coffee, tea, smoothie, and mimosa options. And gelato!! I just ordered a California panini, and it was pretty solid. Although, it was a little smaller than I imagined for the price ($15). However, it did come with a side! They have indoor and outdoor seating, and a self-serve water and hot sauce station. You order inside and they give you a number to put on the table, so the server will bring your food out to you. The ambiance is that of a classic cafe, with joyous groups chattering, some people working on laptops. A nice place to catch up with a friend, or for a solo date. read more

YAY TO THE NEST CAFE | we were running late but wanted a quick brunch bite so we stopped in to Nest Cafe right before closing (IM SO SORRY AGAIN) but they patiently took my order and even though I wasn't expecting much from the menu and my food, I was pleasantly surprised. My eye instantly fell on the lolly waffle (aka waffle sticks) so I ordered that with a side of pasta salad. Weird pairing? Maybe, but don't judge me because that pasta salad hit the spot. A cafe style experience - where you order up front and take your card/number to your seat, and wait to be served. The place is kind of small, but comfortable. People will take tables quickly, so it's best for someone in your party to claim a place to sit while someone else orders. We truly went for the lolly waffles and were pleasantly surprised. You can order them in a variety of flavors, but we went with chocolate chip. They tasted just like Waffle House - which is one of our favorites. Very pleased and worth the trip to try. read more

Updating my review of Nest because I've been there a lot recently and everything has been absolutely perfect, time and time again! Today, I got the summer salad with Sonoma chicken salad on it. It was crisp and fresh, and I love the combination of fruit and chicken in this salad. My son got the beignets with chocolate dipping sauce and tater tots. Don't judge my parenting here - it was a special day! I don't normally let him have this kind of thing for lunch, but it was a delightful treat. We sat outside on the peaceful patio. I love sitting there, it's shaded with lots of umbrellas and makes for good people-watching. The patio is also dog-friendly, which is a huge plus for us. The staff is friendly and attentive. I didn't know what to expect when you or your beignets that are not from that famous place in New Orleans lol! I was very surprised because they were pretty good. I had two orders! And the mozzarella Caprese sandwich, very tasty! My friend surprise me with a gift of a Groupon for beignets and coffee. After I try to beignets, I ordered another order! Lol I know a good thing when I taste it. Parking was difficult because I guess it's street parking only had to park around the block, but it was a nice fall day ! So the walk was pleasant! Got in line to place an order. The line was only 6 others and took 30min. They had two registers not one wax being used for an employee to do data entry. 20 minutes later the order started coming out in pieces. First our coffees. Then 15 minutes later my beniets. A wonderful little corner cafe in downtown Alpharetta. It's a small spot just off the main road. My wife and I came here for lunch one rainy afternoon. The inside has a dozen tables... you walk up to the counter and order. They have a selection of coffee, adult drinks, sodas and more. The menus consisted of specialty sandwiches, soups and various items. It is a cozy little spot that serves a great cup of coffee... I had a Carmel latte decaf... as well as some very good combination sandwiches. I had the nest panini. This is one of the house specialties and it was fantastic. Service was good... I don't typically like the go to the counter and order because if I want something more I have to go and do another transaction. Get in line and wait all over again, but they are attentive and move the line along well. I really liked the atmosphere here. It is relaxed, but tidy, The food is good and well presented, and the service was good. I could see coming here weekly and trying all the different concoctions of put together dishes... this could be one of our go to spots for sure! read more
