Cute place for breakfast or brunch. The menu had something to offer anyone whether it's a meat dish or vegetarian. I have to say I was not planning to eat the cinnamon rolls our table ordered but it took one little bite for me to devour the whole roll. Simply delicious. I have passed by this restaurant so many times in the past, but never had the chance to try it. Having a day off and wanting to explore a little, I decided it was time to try Morningbirds Restaurant in Roswell. Everything about this place speaks to elevated dining, warm ambience, and personalized service. My server Josh was friendly, personable, and attentive. The food was definitely the highlight of the experience. I ordered The Skylark, their eggs Benedict, with a side of cheese grits, and this may rank as one of the top five best eggs Benedict I've had. First, the cheese grits are so savory and flavorful that I might consider returning simply to have more of the cheese grits. The eggs Benedict itself is plated in an artistic manner, and every bite is packed full of delectable details. From the tender Buttermilk Biscuit base, to the thick cut spiral ham, as well as the perfectly poached egg and some of the richest Hollandaise sauce you may ever try, the Skylark eggs Benedict is a true winner. Our kids and we alternate picking a breakfast place that we haven't gone to or been a while been to. This day our kids picked this place which was a treat because we haven't been here before. Finally getting into Cobb county for something different. This place proved to be a special kind of brunch place with very interesting interior. Kind of a homey kitschy place. Stuff hanging off the ceiling and the walls adorned with garden like items. (See pictures). The food was great. While they emphasized that the do a lot without the preservatives and try to keep organic food on the top of the list. We enjoyed the fare, my SO and I had the Benedict which was good I wish they did not cook the ham so much for it was slightly tough as opposed to tender. And I understand that southern fare is special but leave the darned. English muffin alone don't replace it with biscuits please. Daughter ordered fried catfish with grits which was beautifully presented and tasted great Our son ordered the biscuits and gravy and it was equally tasty as well. The pièce de résistance was the cinnamon rolls. Unbelievably delicious and tender l, served in a cooking vessel with loads of glaze over it. The service was equally appreciative and humble. Server was very on top of things and asked the right questions at the right time (young beautiful African American woman) I didn't catch her name... Well done. We went in to this cute little place to celebrate Valentine's early - and enjoyed it. I ordered the Rainbow bird (I think) - it was a vegan hash bowl with vegetables and my partner got the strawberry shortcake pancake. We both also got hot chocolates. The hot chocolate was really good - I dislike ones that are very milky - this was enjoyable. My vegan hash was good - not great, but not bad. The chicken and waffles (especially the syrup) were delicious. The chicken would have been even better with a marinade, but the skin was perfectly crispy and flavorful. My fiancé and i went to brunch on a Monday morning. We were excited to try this place on a weekday since we read it's hard to get a reservation on the weekend. It was fantastic. We were shocked with how good the coffee based drinks were. We both got flavored coffee and nothing tasted artificial or fake. The entrees came out promptly and were delicious. We read before going about their commitment to using the best, highest quality ingredients and boy can you taste it. It also makes the price point very much worth it. This place earns 5 stars for interior and decor alone. I would really love to know the inspiration behind this place entirely. It was beautiful inside. My friend chose this spot for us so I had no idea what to expect prior. There was no wait once we arrived, which was great. Immediately I noticed there were no drinks anywhere on the menu. It took a while for the server to arrive but he eventually brought us a tablet that contained the drinks. I ordered the omelette and biscuit with turkey sausage, I personally would never order that again. The sausage was dry and flavorless. The omelette was watery and lacked salt. The biscuit however was excellent. My friend ordered the chicken and waffles and that was absolutely delicious. It is clear this place has certain specialties. It was Mother's Day, we had a reservation for 5, however when we showed up it was only 4 of us. We were seated and while being seated, my son called and said he was 3mins away, we asked the hostess if we could be moved or get the empty seat next to us. She told us no to us keeping our original 5 seat reservation and then told us no that we could not get the empty seat next to us bc it was reserved. Reminder, all this took place in under 3mins. My son came in (who is actually an influencer with over 1million followers) and he simply sat down and held my 5year old in his lap since they denied us the original reservation (which was fine) and denied us simply grabbing the empty chair next to us bc "they" said it was reserved) Well while sitting waiting on our food, guess what we watch both hostess do, come grab chairs from the table next to us to accommodate other guests at other tables, my question would be what was the difference with us asking to grab a chair and YOU BOTH taking two chairs to two different booths? Where do we start? It was Mother's Day and a reservation was made in April. Upon arrival, there was a wait. After waiting 27 mins, we were seated at 1:38pm. The menu is simple, but the espresso machine was down so there was only coffee. A plain coffee is $9. The table didn't want sodas, because they only offer craft sodas. We didn't receive napkins or silverware. After ordering our first item didn't come out until 2:21. We had cinnamon rolls and boy or boy were they hard, horrible and worst than grocery store cinnamon rolls. Eeeeyuck. The kids laughed and cracked jokes at how hard the bread was on them. We waited forever for our plates, and it still came out in phases. The waiters seemed to cater to white customers, calling them sir and Ma'am and ignoring everyone else to rush to their tables. The kicker is that there is already an 18% gratuity added to party's over four so they already knew that they would receive at least $40 from our table. This auto gratuity is actually much less than the 25% standard tip that our family typically leaves for normal service... we leave more if the bill is smaller or the service is exceedingly exceptional. Back to the food the catfish is definitely Basa, I know Mississippi catfish.... This was mushy and just nasty. My crawfish were horrid and the grits were just plain. We tasted pure salt salt salt and coconut oil. Four out of six of the group took a bite or two and left the rest on the table. The server, while nice ignored the full plates until he saw me on Yelp!!! All of a sudden a discount was offered three times. I declined three times. All in all for six people we sent $260.32 without drinks and without eating. Right now I am heading to find a sandwich! My family was furious that my Mother's Day was ruined and this is the first Mother's Day without my grandmother who recently passed. We remained calm and nice and left with a table full of food that we refused to eat. Avoid this place, at all costs!!! Came here for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. I was welcomed and greeted by the hostess which felt very special. We were seated immediately. Our waiter had a few tables but he was handling it as best as he could. I had the sangria which was kinda sweet but refreshing. The biscuits and gravy were great with rich sage flavored gravy. The grits and smashed potatoes were well seasoned and herby as well. No manager came over apologized nothing I mean I didn't even want me food it took so long nothing offered to make up for it. The lady next to us at the bar came in 10 mins after us somehow she got food way before us the table behind us turned twice and ate ... us at the bar suffered and suffered hard. 3 Stars - Needs Operational Refinement We visited Morningbirds in Roswell today with a reservation for seven people, and I called ahead to increase the reservation to eight. The hostess assured me it wouldn't be an issue since we'd be seated at Table 11, which she said could accommodate eight guests. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. When we arrived, the person who appeared to be in charge did acknowledge the confusion but also shifted responsibility back onto me, stating that unless the system reflects eight guests, they cannot accommodate. I understand the importance of process--but it would be more effective to align staff training internally rather than relying on guests to navigate those gaps. It took about 30 minutes to get our group situated, and we ultimately had to split into two tables--a significant inconvenience since our plan was to enjoy brunch together. Ironically, even the original table wouldn't have comfortably fit seven people. Once seated, we were handed three different menus--each with slightly different prices for the same items. While this may seem minor, it speaks to an overall lack of consistency and organization. The food itself was average--not bad, but not memorable--and certainly not enough to overshadow the confusion leading up to the meal. Lastly, we were politely asked to wrap up after 90 minutes, which is understandable in a busy brunch spot. That said, the service throughout our visit lacked urgency, so the request felt a bit off, especially given the slow pace of everything leading up to it. All in all, Morningbirds has potential, but the experience needs tightening--from reservations to communication, menu consistency, and table management. A small gesture of goodwill from the staff would've gone a long way in making up for the disruption. read more

(very annoyed at me for asking again) - Oh, you have brew it? - Yes, that's what I've been trying to tell you! - Well, you never mentioned that I give up on tea. Meanwhile no food has arrived. After an hour, I pull this waiter over again and tell him that if we don't get anything soon, we'll be leaving. He says he'll go check on it. Comes back a few min later and declares that kitchen is very busy, but they'll hurry it up now. Arrives 5 minutes later with food and my ice tea. Says the chef said dessert is on the house. (no apology for 1.5 hour wait, still looks a bit annoyed) By this point we're very annoyed, but try the food and the food is excellent. Everything is executed perfectly and I'm starting the enjoy the meal. Of course, getting a check is once again an adventure. Trying to flag someone down takes 15-20 min, brining the check took another 15. And guess what? We're being charged for everything including the supposedly "on the house" dessert. At this point, I don't even want to argue. I don't trust the server with my credit card and another delay, I take out cash, leave it on the table and we get out of there - definitely won't be coming back. Beautiful restaurant with good food and service. We made reservations for a party of 7 for Sunday brunch at 1:30pm. When we arrived the place wasn't overly crowded and we were able to be seated quickly once checked in. Our server came over and got us started with water and drinks however we did have a wait of about 10 minutes or so before we were able to place our orders. I chose the chicken and waffles and upgraded my waffles to the strawberry shortcake which was delicious and could easily be served as dessert as it was topped with fresh strawberries a cheesecake type of whipped topping and strawberry and cream cheese icing ( no syrup needed) the wings crispy and seasoned decently i requested hot sauce to give me the kick i needed. And the grits were amazing served thick and savory stoneground i definitely recommend them. My friend got the short rib and grits which they enjoyed they just wish the portion was a bit more generous given the cost of $39. The service was pretty good and the general manager came over to check on up just see how everything was and if anything was needed which was kind of her. At the end they brought one check and we were advised that they could only split it 3 ways (something to keep in mind for bigger parties). We ordered the Maple match; one with a waffle and one with a pancake. The pancake was basically and really flat. Ihop has better. The wife has a waffle which in the end was okay. The chicken wings were not good. They provided wings fried with feathers still on them! We informed the server who took the plate away but we were still charged. Everything is scratch made and delicious, especially the bananas foster pancake. ..Yummmmmyyyy!! This has to be the "BEST" pancake I've had yet.. so light and fluffy it wasn't like your traditional pancake mix, but more of a cake or doughnut batter.. either way, it was AMAZING.. service wasn't fast being that everything was cooked to order, which was okay, but still a little annoying. Especially if you're "HANGRY" like I was... LOL! I'm definitely a fan of Anthony Hamilton's music, but I'm not on board with the long wait time for food. I even overheard another patron saying their food took too long as well. I discovered this restaraunt at Taste of Alpharetta back in the spring and they were giving out samples of chicken & waffles sliders which were delicious. I brought my grandmother to Morningbirds for brunch recently. I love the aesthetics of the restaurant. Lots of florals and the bird details are unique such as the bathroom door handle is a bird and the sink bowls in the restrooms are decorated with birds. My grandmother and I both had a mocktail with pineapple and ginger beer and the cinammon rolls as an appetizer. We loved both items. I ordered The Peacock as my entree which is a good amount of food for the price. The standout items for me were the french toast and the grits. The french toast was so good that no syrup was needed. The grits were very well seasoned! There were quite a few parties celebrating birthdays as well so this could be good place for that. Looking forward to eating here again in the future. read more

We ordered the chicken and waffles, a dish we are extremely particular about, and let me tell you--they were some of the best we've ever had.
