Writing this review because of the stand-out attention to & creativity with the food! This is not your average pub-style restaurant and it's not just about their pride in serving their home-brews. We shared the tuna ceviche (flavourful and fresh - the cumin was different but worked well!); kale Caesar (the dressing was garlicky and citrusy! Worked so well with the bacon and am assuming, massaged kale which made it easier to bite into & digest - came with a filling serving of tender chicken); and jambalaya (just the right amount of spice and flavour - sausage and shrimp was good and we liked the bites of juicy grape tomatoes throughout). For dessert, we attempted to conquer the goat cheese cake with creme brûlée top - the goat cheese base gave it a nice slight salty taste and VERY rich texture. We had to take the rest home but rest assured, leftovers were gone very fast. We weren't in the mood for burgers but hope to try them next time I'm in the area. They have a nice garden-trellis style outdoor patio but given the heatwave, we chose to sit inside where there was air conditioning. Kamloops is an unassuming town in the middle of British Columbia, so I did not have high hopes for finding culinary excellence. Happily, our hotel was just a block from this establishment. This is essentially a Gastro pub, but their food choices were both uncommon an excellent. The service staff was outstanding. And of course the beer was top-notch. A great stop for lunch after a long drive, the Noble Pig is a welcoming stop for some wonderful hosptitaliy and delicious food. The place had several large dining rooms that are clean and beautifully decorated. On a beautiful day, the colorful courtyard with the red cushions (I believe it was built over an old swimming pool) is a nice option. Out waitress (I'm talking to you Alexa ) was so delightful - very positive and was very helpful with the menu. We both had the Noble Burger and a side of Poutine. The flavors were amazing and we enjoyed hearing about everything being made fresh and local. Even the Poutine had a wonderful history. The Noble Pig is a brewpub and features good food to go along with the beer. I tried a couple of their brews and they were both delicious! Nothing overly outstanding, yet solid craft beers that made our visit to the Noble Pig a real treat. I had the lamb burger priced at around $18 and it was quite good with lots of flavour which went well with my beer. The veg soup that accompanied it was great as well, and was welcome in the hungover heat of the evening after a plus 40 degree typical summer day. For apps we tried the karaage which came with some yummy sauce. The pretzels with the house made mayo-mustard was a good snack as well, and went with the beers. Service was excellent! Our table of 6 outside on the partly covered patio (used to be a swimming pool, now filled in) was well taken care of by our waiter. Nobody went thirsty or hungry. It's a roomy looking patio, and we didn't spend any time inside, so that would be cool to visit someday when I revisit Kamloops! read more

I dropped into this place because Google had it listed as on of Kamloops's best sports bars. I walk in and noticed that all of the TV screens have a blue tint. You could barely see the screens. My friend and I had such a wonderful experience at Noble Pig. Our server was very knowledgeable and explained all the beers in great detail! We ended up ordering a pitcher and enjoying it on the patio. The food was good. I ordered the falafel burger with fries. The burger was a bit dry (could use more sauce), and the fries were extremely crispy. Regardless, we had such great service with the waiter often checking on us and the patio was very delightful! Definitely one of the go-to places in Kamloops. Every local I asked told me to come by here. Parking is available along Victoria, as well as many of the side streets. The establishment is quite large, with an indoor bar area, a dining area, as well as a large outdoor patio (special mention). This is smack in the middle of the downtown too. Staff were friendly and professional. One thing is that the food here is definitely more than those of a typical pub, at $15-25 for most dishes instead of $10-20. Their beer flights are more reasonably priced though. Hence the 3 stars out of 4. The Noble Burger I had was tasty, and so were the fries. The presentation is definitely on the classier side, with the fries in a small stainless cup. With that said, the food didn't really stand out, other than that I think the patty was hand made. The Mocha Porter I had was quite thick, almost like a Guinness. My buddy and I both found it a bit overwhelming in pint glass form. I would recommend having this beer as part of a flight (smaller glasses) instead. Our over night stop in Kamloops and found this nice brew pub. We ordered Pasta Tomatoe sauce and Burger and fries for our 13 yr old and 10 yr old, respectively. Pasta was good according to the 13 yr old. Burger was good, we asked for lettuce and tomatoes in lieu of cheese. My boy seems to like it. We ordered the Lamb burger with Poutine Fries. The lamb was tasty with sweet, spicy, salty and sour taste (4 Ss), which brings me to think it's very Asian influenced. Tasty regardless and the Poutine fries with the cheese was really good. It wasn't over salty so for that I give it two thumbs up. Beer selection was good, Hefe and IPAs were well balanced and satisfying. Service was very good, so no complaints. Overall, I would say this place is good value, service, and recommend stopping in. Atmo was nice too, bar full of tellies with sports on and outdoor seatings for the nice evenings here in Kamloops. We were surprised by the slow service we received here. The food was decent, if not outstanding, but it took nearly an hour for a burger and a plate of poutine to arrive from the "scratch kitchen". We stopped here as we drove from Banff to Vancouver and it was the perfect place to come eat and break up the drive. The service was great - our server was attentive and checked on us the right amount. They have a wide variety of food on the menu - a few salads, a few unique twists on poutine, burgers. You're sure to find something you want to eat - I was wishing we could order 8 different things from the menu. The beers they brew here were one of my favorites from our week long trip in Canada and we drank different beers every day. We got a sampler for $6 that had 3 different beers - there was one Belgian one we loved along with the Mocha Porter. My fiancé said the porter was the best one we had all trip (we must have sampled about 20 beers in one week) The food was also really good, generous portions, good salads considering salads are not usually that great at gastropubs. Warm Belgian Pretzels ($3.50) - These are two small pretzels that are warm and toasty, like they just came out of the oven. The texture was perfect and I loved the horseradish-mustard combo that went with the pretzels. I would definitely order this again. The Texan Poutine ($12) - This came with BBQ sauce and pulled pork and came in a large skillet - more than enough for 2 people and certainly shareable if you had 4-6 people. I didn't really love this as much as thought I would - the pulled pork was generous but the BBQ sauce was a bit sweet and not as smoky and spicy as I would have liked. The cheese was melty which was great. I would try one of their other poutines next time; this one just wasn't my favorite. Not so Simple Greens ($9) - Standard mixed greens that you find at the supermarket in the big plastic clamshell containers but not complaining - it was one of the better salads I've had a bar / gastropub and I loved the spiced honey trail mix on top for some variety in texture. The vinaigrette was different and didn't taste like a generic out of a bottle dressing. It was a simple salad but the portion was huge and for the price, taste and portion size, this was a win in my book. Mediterranean Summer Salad ($16.50) - Greens, fennel, potatoes and green beans. I tried the salad but liked mine better but I don't like goat cheese or olives, both of which this salad had. But a good option for a salad. Overall, we loved the beer, the variety on the menu here, and though the prices were great for how much you get. We would definitely come back here again if we find ourselves in Kamloops. read more

I make it a road trip ritual to stop by The Noble Pig every time I pass through Kamloops and I love showing this gem to people who haven't been inside or tried their beers. The best craft beer in town it is not - sorry guys, there's a special place in my heart for Red Collar - but the beer here is fantastic nonetheless! What's even better is their delicious menu of elevated pub food. Few places can pull off most dishes on a multi-page menu, but the Pig can do no wrong! On a scorching summer day, after choking on the heat outside, it was a delight to walk through this brewhouse's doors for a breath of fresh air conditioned air. My co-diner and I were greeted with smiles and told the specials of the day, as well as handed a pair of hardcover menus. After chowing down here several times, I could honestly recommend anything - the food is a hit! The server was very friendly and polite, and went out of her way to make sure our visit stood out! The inside is huge and sharply designed; we had the pleasure of dining in one of their comfortable booths. When I venture here solo, I love grabbing a seat at the bar - there are always interesting people to chat up. With a beer flight in mind hours before arriving, I was hella thirsty, so I went with the peppered Belgian ale, the saison, and the IPA. The Belgian is one of my favourite beers in the province - an oddly satisfying combination of pepper and yeast, a bit cloudy, and super refreshing on a hot day! The saison was nothing special, while the IPA was not too hoppy yet had a great balance of hops and malt. With my meal, I also opted for a few pints of their house lager, a Munich Helles light on the taste buds, but still full of flavour and tradition. For lunch I enjoyed the Creole Jambalaya, a classic Southern staple. This version consisted of fresh mussels, clams and prawns for the seafood, finely arranged alongside chicken, chorizo, and tomato, blended with dirty rice and the Cajun holy trinity, which refers to onions, bell peppers, and celery - ingredients crucial to regional dishes crafted in Louisiana. Despite only having tried jambalaya a few times in my life - never in Louisiana - this was such a delicious combination of flavours. The seafood tasted fresh and made the dish. I wish the chorizo would have been substituted with proper Andouille sausage, but who doesn't love a good chorizo, let's be honest! A+ on flavour and creativity! The Noble Pig is a standout in Kamloops, a city heavily dominated by chain restaurants and fast food joints. If you're out in the desert and looking for some real deal pub food - their burgers, pizzas, and appies are legit - this brewhouse is the place to go! A great little pub with lots of character and a great choice of house-brewed craft beer. We had a group of three, and the wait time was fairly long for a Tuesday evening, but the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. I started off with the wallonian pig belgian peppered ale, and our group decided to go with the roasted cauliflower & gruyere dip for an appetizer. It was gooey and satisfying, with a very slight hint of heat. The naan paired particularly well with the dip and was a good start to our evening. I decided to order the pulled pork mac & cheese, and the wait time was quite long (understandable, due to the fact that everything is made in-house). The mac & cheese was fantastic, although I was able to try some of my group mates truffle & mushroom mac & cheese, and found it decisively superior. Overall I would recommend ordering an appetizer to bridge the wait time between ordering and receiving your entrée (the beer helps too). Personally I really enjoyed the ambiance and feel of the place, they had some great music playing in the background, and our server was very lively and helpful. I ordered the one piece fish and chips and it was the best ever- why - because it was super hot and super fresh. the only way to eat fish and chips. although, I think the tartar sauce had garlic.....not good. Our server was great. She ran her feet off looking after us . Drinks were good, I had the house Ceaser, and one of the dark ale's. My partner had the Burger. Its funny , 4 drinks, tip, and the bill is just shy of $ 100. how does that happen ? I must be getting really old.....but I know everything is going up and up and up . Will we be able to afford to eat out in the future ? Funny thing is, the very same place as the Pig, was a Beer Parlour in 1975, 5 pints of draft for a buck . Now a pint is $10. A great time was had by all! We stopped in for supper had some pulled pork sandwiches and a couple brews I fell in love with the place! I should've started with the flight of samplers but ended up choosing the Napoleon IPA and switching to the Razorback Ale are both excellent choices! The French fries that accompanied the pulled pork sandwiches were delicious almost as if they were cooked in truffle oil! The curds were nice and big, fries nice and crispy, and the gravy was hot. Good mix and they did not skimp out on the curds. The carnivore pizza was loaded with chorizo and pepperoni with fresh cheese. It was about 10" size. My wife had the short rib grilled cheese with the soup. All of it was good. The bread, beef and cheese all went together well and was delicious. This place is loaded with TV's if you're looking to catch the jays game or something. They have a blackboard drawing out their brewing process. Nice and brief, but informative, if you're interested in that stuff. If I lived in Kamloops, I'd go here often. read more

Once again I am rating take-out food, which I don't normally do. It was fantastic. I ordered the sous vide pork chop and the summer salad. The pork chop was fantastic, really tender and the sauce was really good. I have cooked a lot in my life and it's rare that I eat something and can't figure out what's in it but the sauce had me puzzled. It was delicious and I think the secret was long cooking with the cinnamon. It was eye-poppingly delicious. I ate most of the salad without the dressing and the vegetables were fresh and crisp. I tasted the salted citrus dressing with some of the lettuce and it was really good too, nicely balanced and just a bit salty. Too bad we are only in town for one night or I'd be here a lot. The Ambience- The first thing I noticed upon walking in this place is "Oh my God! it's freaking so loud in here." I'm not sure who had the genius idea to have wood floors and wood panelled walls in a huge open concept dining room with nothing to absorb any of the sound, but it wasn't a good plan. This place was about 50% full and the noise was ridiculous. I couldn't even hear the waitress or my husband across the table from me. It was bad. I won't be back and it's all to do with the noise level and nothing to do with the service or food. The Food- we had the Chicken Karrage appetizer. It was a fair size portion which is good because at $12 is a little steep. I had the pulled pork Mac and Cheese which was okay. They mix the pork and green onions in the Mac instead of on top like most places, I wasn't a fan of that but it didn't taste bad I just like to have control over if there is pulled pork in each bite. If your hungry this is for you it was GIGANTIC, I couldn't even finish half. My husband had the Aporkalypse sandwich. It was weird. Not bad just weird. There were so many things on it that it actually seems like it was trying too hard, if that makes sense. The meat was so good it's a shame they buried it under some seriously over powering pesto. Again it wasn't bad but it could have been much better. All and all no regrets with the food but nothing to brag about. The Service- it was spotty. The waitresses barely showed up at the table. Our drinks were always empty, it took forever to get our plates cleared and waiting for the bill seemed endless however the appetizer arrived in less than 10 minutes after ordering and the food was like maybe 10 minutes after that. I want to try the breweries around Kamloops so i decided to venture out on my own to The Noble Pig. Expensive for flight of beers. $6.50 for 3 styles of beer. I was stuck sitting next to the condiments and stuff at the bar. Hostess didn't even try to help me get more space cuz the blonde next to me didn't move much when I move in. I'm not sure if it happens to a lot of eateries but there were TONS of flies swarming around the condiments. Service was terrible. The bartenders couldn't care much to get your order. I was there on Monday the 18th of November. I met a few old friends for an after work/school beer. I am pleased to say that our server was well informed and very pleasant. I dont remember her name but she spoke with possibly a French accent, and was about 25 with dark hair. Our beers were never empty and shared a pizza. It was super! Driving to Revelstoke and stopped through this place to grab a bite. The waiter was awesome and made the place fun. Unfortunately the lamb burger was just not that great. It had some good flavor with the chutney, but was not something I would order again. Little dry and more bun than burger. However, the poutine was really good and FULL of cheese. On our way home to Seattle from Calgary/Banff and spent the night in Kamloops at nearby hotel. This place was in walking distance and had good reviews The positive reviews are warranted! The season grapefruit beer was refreshing. The kids loved their mac & cheese and pizza. My wife had the pulled pork mac & cheese - it was tasty and not overly greasy as it can tend to be. I had the sous vide pork chop and it was soooooo delicious - tender, juicy, flavorful. I could have eaten a second! Staff was very friendly and attentive.
