The season grapefruit beer was refreshing. The kids loved their mac & cheese and pizza. My wife had the pulled pork mac & cheese - it was tasty and not overly greasy as it can tend to be. I had the sous vide pork chop and it was soooooo delicious - tender, juicy, flavorful. I could have eaten a second! Staff was very friendly and attentive. What a freaking gem of a place. Stopped on our way to Jasper. Was so surprised on the quality of the food here. Ordered the stroganoff pasta...super tasty, and balanced...beef was tender, pasta al dente, so much flavour in the pasta: umami, richness from the beef and mushrooms, offset with the brineyness of the pickle and creamyness of the sour cream. SO GOOD. Gladly eat this again. Friends ordered the burger...sky high burger. Looked like one of those that once you pick it up...if you put it down you're doomed to have a burger that'll stay together. Good service...our waiter was a bit overly friendly. I'd have to say, and I'm not done yet, that I already like it here. The beer is tasty with a broad selection. I had the pretzel as an Appy and it was one if the finest I've had. I'm not particularly well versed on pretzels but they were worth the try. There were other choices as well and while I searched for scallops they weren't to be found The servers (boys and girls) were friendly and attractive, and knowledgable about their products. They were also attentive when appropriate, ie I didn't have to search them out. The venue was nice but not outstanding, comfortable and open on the dining side and a tad more intimate on the pub side. Children are allowed at least in the dining side. Next time, and there will be a next time, I will come prepared to eat. This time beer only, a Mocha Porter and a Black'n Tan. read more

The first visit, came for dinner. There were people waiting, but the actual waiting time resulted in less than 5 minutes. The place is quite big, very roomy and nice. I would say it's a very good place to come with friends. Very friendly and attentive service all the time. They have a good selection of beers, and they were pretty good. However, the food is not that great. It is just okay, and some items a little bit pricey. Regular food for a pub, maybe above average. The Noble Pig is my go-to place when my friends and I are looking for a place to grab a bite to eat and some drinks. The best words I can use to describe the food here are "homestyle" and "comfort". Like any true English-style pub, the focus of the Pig isn't just on beer: it's also on making delicious versions of all your favourite foods. I am extremely impressed with the number and quality of the vegetarian options offered here. Right now my favourite would have to be the Red Wine Risotto but you can also never go wrong with their mac and cheese. My omnivorous friends have informed me that the pulled pork version is exceptional as well. The beer here also deserves special acknowledgement. Their home-brewed beverages are delicious. My favourites include their Belgium Peppered Ale, Christmas Ale, and the Pursuit of Hoppiness. Besides being able to try all of their beers at the restaurant, you are also welcome to purchase a growler of your favourite beer to enjoy at home. read more

I do love The Noble Pig! They have a great rotating selection of beers and a good wine list. They also offer a sample of wine in case you can't decide which one to try first! The staff are helpful and service is prompt. The lovely chef, Jason, came out and offered to customize my meal. I really appreciate it when that happens. I have severe food allergies and there is a huge difference between chefs and short order cooks in the kitchen. Price wise the food is great quality and locally sourced. I don't think it's expensive though for what you get. All in all I do love coming here. read more

Went to the Noble pig for dinner because of the good reviews. The weather was nice, so my wife and I asked for a table outside. We were told it would be 10-15 minutes and we could have a beer at the bar while we waited. Great; we thought. However, great the beer was not! After ~40 minutes I asked what happened to our table and I was told that there was only one couple in front of us! We then asked for a table inside and we're seated right away. We ordered our food 2 minutes later and waited. Long story short, we got our burgers about 45 minutes later. To top it off, they tasted pretty meh, but at least they were only lukewarm!!! My husband and I went to the Noble Pig on stopover in Kamloops on a road trip, we love trying craft beers so we were naturally drawn to this place for dinner. Fist the beer, the main reason we went in, I tried a "paddle" of 4 sample sizes of different kinds - all were really good, no complaints at all, my husband was happy with his IPA as well. The next cool thing about this place was the patio, where we had chosen to sit, which used to be a shallow swimming pool! The seats around the edge were just the pools edge turned bench, a very fun idea and a great use of an existing structure. The menu was quite inventive, with some interesting selections for pub food. We had warm pretzels as an appetizer which were delicious. The mains however were a bit over seasoned. My husband got the prawn curry, which was very very spicy, we are both fine with spicy food, but I was extremely surprised that it was not mentioned on the menu or by the waitress. My food, chicken with spatzle and veggies, was so salty I could eat less than half. It was a shame as the flavors were all right, everything was just so over done that it ruined both dishes - I concluded that the chef must smoke heavily and therefore cant taste their food! Overall a cute little place, but geeze, take it easy on the salt! read more

This is a nice-looking Gastropub. Dark wood, cozy booths, gorgeous patio. The beer flight was pretty tasty and the descriptions were pretty accurate. I got the lager, pepper, and amber. The pepper really did taste peppery. It's not something you can get just anywhere. I just wish I had gotten more of it. We got the jambalaya, the Yorkshire pudding, and the classic Mac and cheese. All were delicious. The beef cheeks in the Yorkshire pudding were tender and melt-in-your mouth. Seeing as it was an appetizer, there wasn't much meat in it, but the flavor was exceptional. As expected from a Gastropub, the Mac and cheese was the real deal with the crunchy golden crumbs on tops (served in a small cast-iron skillet). My group was from Portland, OR so when passing through Kamloops we decided to stop by the only brewery we could find online. The decor is greaty- outdoorsy, classy, and comfortable. I loved the canoe light fixture. The menu is full of great sounding options. We didn't have much time so we split an order of poutine and a couple beer samplers. Being American, we'd never had poutine before, but it was yummy. Great fatty comfort food: fries with cheese curds, smothered in gravy. The beers were tasty. The peppered ale was fantastic, reminiscent of Hoegaarden. I wish this place were in Portland so I could try some of the fall and winter seasonals and sample more of the menu. read more

My daughter loved the pull pork Mac and cheese. We had a very attentive waiter was earned his 20% and more with the bonus for us of a sexy english accent. Celebrate at the Pig! Friend got a C+ on a hard midterm? To the Pig! Jared & Meghan Summers have everything going for them their gastropub, the likes of which could stand up against any in Vancouver. From their moody lighting and interior to the quirkiness of the upside down canoe and the many paintings of pigs to their equally eclectic menu. I've tried every almost every beer on their menu, perhaps missing only one or two which may have premiered during a busy season for me, and each has a nuanced taste. Paired with one of their rich meals, the Pig undoubtably serves a feast fit for a king. The bar is always excellently stocked and staffed with the friendliest, most knowledgable bar tenders and my appletinis and dirty martinis are always on point. When I do yearn for something different, Grandmas's Garden Caesar never disappoints and I'm somewhat ashamed to say, has sometimes been my only "meal" since it is stuffed full of delicious house-pickled vegetables. Regarding the menu; the soft, moist Bison Burger has been a favorite but I have had to conceed that I cannot finish it in one sitting and lately have opted for the Yorkies - beef-cheek and horshradish stuffed and baked to an ale-y dark brown. The veggie pizza option too, is exquitsite, with a crust unlike one I have tasted since Venice and their seasonal menu, like the one they featured during the Women's World Hockey Championships that were held in Kamloops this past year was much like the staff itself, quirky and eclectic. read more

The Noble Pig is my favorite pub in Kamloops. Whenever my husband and I go to visit friends and family, we always end up there for at least one meal. Every time I have gone, I have never been disappointed. For starters, the atmosphere is great. There is plenty of seating in both the dining room and the lounge. If you have a large group, they are easily able to accommodate you. They are also very kid friendly! We have met friends here with kids ranging in age from newborn to nine years old and there has never been a problem. The service is always pretty good, I can't think of a time where the service was poor, and I've been here when the pub was completely packed. If you like beer, there are lots of really good options to try. I personally like the Fascist Pig Pilsner, and the House Lager is really good as well. They also have a variety of seasonal beers available year round. If you like cider, the cider they have on tap is great! As for the food, I always have the Texan Poutine. Nice and crispy french fries, slow cooked pulled pork, cheese curds and a fantastic bbq sauce round out this fantastic dish. For $11.75, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. My husband really enjoys the Yorkies, which are quite filling for $10.50. I've tried a few sandwiches on the menu, and have never been disappointed. Overall, I think the Noble Pig is a fantastic pub in Kamloops, and if you are in town you should definitely check it out. read more

In a two week business trip to Kamloops, I visited the Noble Pig five times. I came into town knowing I would probably like the place - they have beer, food, and a pig for a logo. It turns out, I definitely like the place. First, the beer. I tried all of their standard beers and, while I liked all of them, the standouts were the Helles and the Dark Amber. A well-poured pint is $6, which is just fine for Canada. They also offer beer-tinis, where they jack up your beer with hard liquor, but I wasn't brave enough to try them. Full bar including wine and a good selection of whiskeys if beer isn't your flavor of the evening. Second, the food. I was on a sandwich kick, so I tried basically everything they put between two slices of bread (and they put quite a tasty variety of things there) with fries. The fries were seasoned and fried well, which isn't always a guarantee. My one complaint was when I added bacon to a burger, they were cut in lardons, not served as strips - still tasty, just not what I was expecting. Things that were also delicious: the fried pickles (with a delicious dill dipping sauce) and the poutine (the cheese curds were exceptionally gooey.) The staff rotates shifts - so your bartender is not the same from day to day. This means you miss the opportunity to really get to know the bartender, but everyone was friendly and capable, so it was just fine. Keep up the good work, I'll be back in town soon! read more

The only thing exciting about it was grated nutmeg on top. The beer was good. We ordered cheese bread as an appetizer because we were really hungry, but it arrived after our entrees, so they didn't charge us. The cheese bread was different- lovely fresh baked dough around a pepperoni stick.
