I explained I was not aware and it has only been about 3 weeks. They don't give paper receipts so they only way I would have known the policy is on my receipt they texted me, which I didn't look at until I realized they didn't fit. The girl never told me when I made the purchase. Regardless, 3 weeks is not a long time and I would have expected a one time courtesy. After all, I am a new customer and one would think they would want me to continue to shop there. Apparently not. The girl called the owner to see what they could do and they offered me 50% store credit! I can't imagine she had even made such a ridiculous offer. Like anyone in their right mind would suggest or accept that. I was literally looking for one size smaller. So over a simple exchange, they lost a customer and now I will share my experience every chance I get about the terrible customer service they provide. I guess is why the store was empty in both visits.

After waiting and expecting the items to arrive, I was informed that the order never even made it to the warehouse for fulfillment. How does an order get accepted, payment processed, and then somehow never reach the warehouse? This is a basic failure of order management and customer service. The most frustrating part isn't even the delay--it's the lack of communication. I had to find out after the fact that the order was essentially lost within their system. If I hadn't followed up, who knows how long I would have been waiting. A company that charges premium prices should have reliable fulfillment processes and proactive communication when something goes wrong. Missing a Father's Day gift because an order never made it to the warehouse is unacceptable. Unfortunately, this experience has made me question whether I can trust Duluth Trading Company with future orders.

They were helpful but not pushy and they were knowledgable about their merchandise. I bought two beautiful shirts made of fabric that was woven of beautiful colors and textures. So, why three stars instead of four or five? The gentleman on shift that day was a little too salesy for me and for that store. It's a very small store so already I was trying to be polite but also set the tone that I'd just like to look for a bit and get an idea of what I wanted. He was respectful of that, although within 5min I did get asked twice if i was ready to try something on, etc. But when I did decide, he was very prompt and accommodating in getting me the two pairs and in a few sizes. The check out process was where I started to want to just move it along, as the upsell was coming hard and heavy. Apparently because I'd like to purchase shoes, that must mean I didn't have a selection of belts at home to wear to match, or socks or even a shirt. All three of those items I was told I was going to get, meaning, "...and now you'll just get the shirt, you'll need this belt and let me pick out some socks for you and you'll be all set.". No thank you sir, I'll just take the loafers and be on my way. He got the idea and after another attempt at selling me creams, waxes and polishes, I was rung up and out the door. I do recommend this location though, don't get me wrong. Just be forewarned that you'll need to prepare for the tight quarters and final upsells at the end.
